I've been here a few times recently, 2 times for lunch and then today for breakfast. It's a really cute spot, small but nicely decorated with herbs and cherry tomatoes growing out front. All meals were great, first time I had a cheesesteak, it was delicious, I am a harsh critic as I'm from Philadelphia, this was really good with the proper roll.i ate it to fast to get a photo ! The next visit I had a blt, basic but tasty. Very good fries. Today we went for breakfast, the place was mobbed. We waited for about 20 minutes, and were then seated. Service was great, the staff was very efficient. The omelettes were great, perfectly cooked, but the sausage was amazing, not your normal frozen sausage. This is a terrific stop, with a great menu and service.

We'll portioned, simple menu and we'll made across the board. No reservations, first come first serve. Our waitress was attentive, and friendly. The food came out quickly and they kept our coffee refilled. The place is small but cozy and it's right off the main road not even 5 minutes.

This was my second time I went back to the nook for breakfast because the first time it was excellent the second time excellent portions are good. The place is a small quaint little place but the waitress are good. The food is good and yes, I told him this past week I was going back again. That they'll see me again next Sunday so I would highly recommend it.

Great food. Good service. The seating area is very small and it detracts from your meal.

I was curious what took over that property and saw it was an oyster house. I was craving seafood and this was just the right place to feed those cravings. The inside of the room was updated and looks much better than what it looked like under Jerry's. The menu is small but everything looked pretty good. They had a print out of all the oysters that have to offer, I think it was at least 8 different types, with a description of what they taste like. I would say their description was spot on. Half a dozen oysters were $18. I liked the mignonette that came with it in a dropper bottle. Very nice touch. I also got the jumbo shrimp cocktail and boardwalk fries. The shrimp were huge, like 2-3 bites worth and the cocktail sauce was perfectly balanced. I didn't care for the boardwalk fries, they were dry and the old bay & vinegar seasoning was good but hardly noticeable. Lastly, our server was friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back here again! One last thing, I took a star off for the bartender with his hair tied back, who was singing along with the alt rock songs that were playing in the restaurant. Loudly. And for an excessively long time. It was so weird. He just kept singing for 2 songs.

The food here is remarkably good at a reasonable price. It is not quite southern barbecue, but the food is tasty and enjoyable. Some of their dishes are quite creative, like their mac n cheese skillet with kielbasa and pulled pork. In my opinion, barbecue restaurants should have a room in the back for naps, because that is what you will be doing after you eat here. It does get a bit loud here with the live entertainment, and parking can be hard to find on weekends, but that is understood. Better than an empty lot and walking out on an empty stomach.

As soon as you walk in, you can feel that polished, higher end atmosphere, and the canal views make for a really nice setting. I went during the off season in early March and caught their Wednesday night Steak and Cake special. For $36 you get a six ounce filet mignon, a crab cake, mashed potatoes, green beans, and a Caesar salad. For a restaurant of this caliber, that's a pretty solid deal. The Caesar salad came out fresh and crisp, and for the first time ever I noticed something you rarely see anymore -- two small sardine strips on top, which is actually the traditional way to serve a true Caesar. The entree was nicely plated. The filet was ordered medium. Parts of it were cooked perfectly and very tender, though a couple bites were a little chewy. The crab cake was the highlight. Very meaty with minimal filler, which is exactly what you want this close to the Delaware coast. Mashed potatoes had that homemade style with a few lumps. Some people love that rustic feel, though I personally prefer them a little smoother. The green beans were simply steamed but had great flavor. Service was excellent. My waitress Kim was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. The restaurant itself was clean and well kept, including the restrooms. Overall, a very enjoyable meal with great flavor across the board. I'd definitely come back and would be curious to see what the atmosphere is like here during the busy summer season.

For dinner, we had a wonderful seat in the corner with a waterfront view. This is a lovely restaurant. Service was excellent as well. The mussel appetizer was delicious - white sauce with the crusty bread was so good. Crab dip was ok. The lamb shank special was also delicious - meat was braised fork-tender. The mahi mahi special was good, maybe a little dry, but I really enjoyed the bed of wild rice that it was served with, a little chew and lots of rich flavor. The disappointment of the night was the brisket - I suppose after having brisket from Texas, you're forever spoiled and can't help but judge everything to that standard. It was dry and a little tough, not a lot of flavor. Overall highly recommend, this remind one of my favorite Lewes restaurants.

We arrived around 11:30 and got seated immediately and there were a few open tables still left so a good time to go. I would say the greeter was not super friendly and it took a good 10 plus minutes for someone to come to the table. A waitress that noticed that we had not been helped for awhile caught my eye as I was looking for our server stopped by and took our drink order and apologized for the wait and shared that most servers were just coming on duty. So that was the only negatives I have for our lunch. The restaurant is not super large but it is very cute. Has a lot of cute decorations and a good feel, although I am not a big fan of plastic over the seat coverings but I understand it makes it easier to keep it clean. I ordered a western omelette (don't forget to tell them to add cheese or you don't get any) and potatoes and a biscuit. Also had a glass of the fresh squeezed OJ and it was perfect. The food was excellent and the portion size was good, my only comment was that the biscuit could have been a bit more cooked but the taste was divine. My husband had the reuben and fries and his was very good also. The cost was a little over $50 so not somewhere I would go daily for breakfast but it is located in the tourist area so to be expected. I would recommend a visit for a great meal and I am looking forward to going again and trying some pancakes or French toast. Enjoy!
