We are from Michigan and every time we visit our son in Delaware we have to go to The Nook. Great food, service and atmosphere.

Absolutely no structure. Came in with 4 adults and 1 child. Waited for 10mins for someone to even look at us. Went and spoke to a woman behind the bar and she could not have shot an uglier look. They told us they were cleaning up a table and they would have us seated shortly. Then a group of 7 came in that was no where in site and did not offer a reservation name. They were granted the table because they were "waiting for a long time" yet were nowhere to be seen for the 20mins we were there. All we got was a sorry. Decided to try their virus take out special and ordered the dinner for 2 take out for $25. We ordered the pork chops with cherry syrup, mashed potato, grilled asparagus that came with a big spade for 2 (they forgot to give us salad dressings but no big deal). They weren't able to locate my order also when we arrived but they took care of it immediately after a little wait. The pork chops were tender & juicy, everything else were good. I also like the varieties of vegetables they included in the salad that had honey coated walnuts. Looking forward to trying their mixed fajitas the next time. read more

Wow! Please get the french toast supreme. This little spot was off the beaten path and we were so happy to find it. Spinach/feta omelette was delicious, with just the right amount of feta (it often seems like places skimp). But the FT supreme was a standout. Service was great, this place definitely deserves to be on your list if you enjoy breakfast out. read more

Service is always very slow here. The workers are friendly. The food is hit or miss. The pit beef panini was not great...just edible. The fries are not good quality and very greasy. Stopped here on our way to a tournament for breakfast. Confusing sign-seat yourself but I was told as I was walking in that there was a list. Waited at the door for 10 minutes. Employees kept walking by me-it's a small place. One person was standing behind the counter eating. I was ignored and other people were seated before others in line and on the "list". An issue occurred when another party was seated prior to another party that wasn't even on the list. When I finally gave my name, I was going to ask about counter seating but others walked in and took the counter. This place may have good food but their customer service is lacking. We will never know about the food...we left after a long wait. read more

Finally! After several attempts at this location and its neighbor's at this location there is a restaurant that is worth going to multiple times in a week. I'm a breakfast snob and this little 'Nook' has everything in breakfast selections that I want (with the exception of oatmeal which could be on the menu in the future). I love their avocado toast with eggs & home fries. Their french toast is on my list of top 5 ft I have ever had--including Mom's-lol. I've had lunch several times, things like broiled cod & veggie quesadilla. The coffee and food is always served hot and fresh. The staff is friendly and attentive. As another reviewer pointed out the pricing is "on point." I, selfishly, wish them a long life at this location which is not on the beaten path. read more

Only one server for the restaurant, which was full. It took 1.5 hours for breakfast. I ordered the avocado toast. It was supposed to come with a chimichurri sauce. However, it was not typically green and had an abundance of chopped red onion present and the ratio of that w the red peppers to avocado was 3:1. read more

By chance, I came across this quaint location. I ordered the corned beef hash to go with my eggs. Great flavor, not like the normal hash from a can. The restaurant is super clean and the staff is excellent I can see myself stopping here, several times a month. The rest of yHe menu looked good so I will try it for lunch. read more

I didn't get a good feel from this place. Been 3 times now for breakfast & it's just ok. Just not very friendly & food takes forever to come out. My omelette took 40 minutes. Had to ask for more coffee. Omelette had a few stray onions in it which do not agree with my stomach so I'll not be going back anytime soon. Coffee was good read more

We tried this place for breakfast this morning, and overall we were very pleased. The ambiance is light, bright, and attractive. The food is quite good, and I like that they have healthy options on the menu. The prices are reasonable. They are growing healthy-looking vibrant fresh herbs in planter boxes along the front of the restaurant outside, which gives promise that they'll be used in their cooking. Service was friendly. Out of the four of us, one order was gotten wrong, with bacon sent out instead of scrapple. We brought it to the server's attention. The one thing about our experience that was less than desirable, was that when the food runner brought out the scrapple, he placed his finger on top of it to stabilize it on the plate. We just had breakfast at Good Morning. Friendly waitress Nancy who started us with coffee and tea which was very good. I ordered the special which was a seafood omelet with shrimp and crab and I added cheddar. It came with a light shrimp scampi sauce on top and English muffin. My husband had the egg white omelet with ham, mushrooms and cheddar with rye toast and sausage on the side. All omelets come with home fries. It was delicious!! We will be back!! read more

We got takeout tonight. Everything was delicious and well prepared. We ordered two of their New Year's specials- a pasta with crab, shrimp, and scallops- and their Grilled combo. So me and my friend walked in today. It's a cute little place but it still has Christmas lights up and the place is more sterile than cozy. The server was really nice to us but she would go back to the counter to talk about some drama with another employee. It was really loud and obviously our server really annoyed about something. I got a bacon egg and cheese on ciabatta, and my friend the same but with ham instead of bacon. The ciabatta was not toasted and the egg tasted like hotel buffet eggs. My friends ham was like a piece of Oscar Meyer deli meat. The potatoes on the side were decent though. The food was not expensive whatsoever which I was happy about and we tipped well. I do not think we will be coming back here as the food went in one end and out the other if you know what I mean. read more

just ordered delivery from the nook. everything arrived hot and the boxes were labeled so i knew what was in each box. i ordered the spinach dip (which we ate before i could take the picture), the nachos, and the chicken tenders the spinach dip ok it's own was very good, but the crostini it came with was soggy. the nachos were absolutely delicious, i asked for no onions and there wasn't a single onion in my food! so i'm happy the message was received through the online ordering service. the chicken tenders were good not great. the breading was sliding off the chicken and they were quite wet and soggy. they did have good flavor and the fries were very good as well. the only big issue was the lack of communication through the delivery service. i ordered through doordash, and i thought it would be just like a third party driver. apparently the book has its own delivery drivers and doordash has no part in actual delivery, which i did not know because every time i went on the app for an update it had said there was no person assigned to deliver my food. this lead to me calling doordash and then calling the nook to figure out when my order was coming. i live 10 minutes away from the restaurant so i was a little confused why my meal took over an hour to deliver. but overall very good food, just please update your delivery on doordash. read more
