Yummy staff is great ! And the food is delicious! Satisfaction every time we come here !

We stopped here on a Wednesday for lunch, the place was pretty empty inside, a decent amount of people eating outside. When we got there we were not greeted, there were two guys who looked annoyed that we were there. We ordered to go and our food did come out quickly. We waited about 5 minutes for our food and quickly learned why- it was cold. Everything was cold, the meat & sides. The pork was cold & tasted like it was made in a crock pot there was no flavor. The turkey tasted like lunch meat and was sliced very finely. The burnt ends were the only things we would all eat again, the flavor on them was great, they actually tasted like smoked meat. Overall we would not visit again- we drive through Missoula frequently from Ennis & would rather go elsewhere for bbq. read more

They were all out of Brisket and every other single meat except ribs and pulled pork.! Not a bad problem for a bbq business, but a bummer for the customers. My son loved his ribs!! My pulled pork with a big fresh salad was nice. The greens were fresh. read more

I'm an out of town visitor who visited this place today. First of all, absolutely love the open restaurant setting and outdoor seating. What kinda turned me off a little bit was the cashier working, poor guy looked sad and irritated as we walked up. I wasn't upset about it but I felt bad for the guy and it dimmed the mood a little bit. The blonde girl server was super sweet and had a nice attitude. Food was pretty good overall. I had the pulled rib sandwich and the baked beans. Beans were a little spicy for me but still very solid and the sandwich was good. The price! I get shrinkflation is going on still, but this is just silly. When I first got here 6.5 yrs ago now, and it was good, it was okay. I'm a Floridian transplant in Montana and Florida BBQ we take seriously, just like Texas and the Carolinas. It wasn't knock my socks off flavor, but okay for the area. Then we seen there new location and thought...okay let's try again. It took 45 mins to get our food ( only 3 of us ) and the portion... LAUGHABLE for the price. Don't come at me, and say well you're not from here you don't know how it works. Flavor is flavor, price is price. This lacks both. I would never go back here again. If you want barbecue, try Dave's, may not be the best in comparison to the east side of the country, but it's better than notorious pig. read more

This review is for the one on US 93. The Good - The BBQ is excellent and the service moved pretty quickly. Staff were well informed and friendly. The Meh - The parking is pretty tight, considering this in MT and lots of peeps are driving pickups or RVs with bikes on the back. The Bad - Nothing to report here. read more

I was glad they opened a southern missoula location. I've had their catered food from the northern location several times and really enjoyed it. When I walked into the southern location the first time, I knew it was a mistake. There was a girl giving goo goo eyes at the male cashier who was doing his best to remain professional. We ordered food and sat down. The food arrived a few minutes later and it was stone cold. Totally inedible. Then they forgot part of the order. When I went to the register, because it was obvious she wasn't going to check on us, they denied we ordered extra food. I had to walk back across the restaurant and get my receipt. Thank god I insisted on one. Then she went, "Oh" and went in back to get without another word. We were the only ones in the restaurant (a former jiffy lube). We arrived on a Saturday afternoon too late for many things on the menu. We got the last order of tri tip and after that all they had was the pulled pork. The tri tip was the better of the two, although the pork was also nice and moist. There were a few different BBQ sauces to try with them. The egg potato salad was really good, eggy and lots of mayo...my favorite of the two sides we got. The mac and cheese was decent but I would have liked more cheese and butter. This location used to be a Jiffy Lube, and that is apparent as soon as you walk in. It is nice and airy and has a great atmosphere with actual bench seating indoors. They also have bar stool height seating as well as outdoor seating when weather permits. The service is always pretty fast and the restaurant is always clean. If you enjoy barbecue, then there is something for everyone. I know the burnt ends are a favorite for a lot of people. If you are a Missoulian and haven't eaten here yet, you definitely should try it. The smell from all the food will draw you right in. I was at a microbrewery nearby. They had a Thai food truck, but I was in the mood for something else. Notorious was a short walk over a pedestrian bridge. Wow! What great brisket! I enjoyed dining at the Notorious PIG BBQ. I ordered the two meat combo with green beans and their smoked mac n cheese. For the meats I went with their lean brisket and burnt ends. The brisket was lean but not dry, great smoke. The burnt ends fell apart and went great with the mac and cheese. The green beans were also pretty tasty. Overall the environment was clean and tidy. They have the best barbecue in town, hands down. Easy to deal with as well. We lost cherry trees last year in the big winds. They took all the cut up cherry wood and in exchange we got a very generous certificate to exchange for their products. It's a win-win! Try it all cuz it's all good! read more

I was told this place was amazing.. stop by and they were pretty much almost out of everything by the time I got there. I would say I was not impressed with anything that we ordered and ate. Coleslaw, mac and cheese, pulled pork, The sauce... Definitely not worth what I paid for it. I was told the tri-tip was pretty good but like I had mentioned they were almost out of everything. Maybe I'll try this place again in the future but definitely not worth the $75 I paid for the three meals that I ordered. In all three of us concurred that it wasn't that great. read more

This was nothing special. I ordered burned ends. It tasted like it was sitting in sauce that was warm. Some of the ends were crispy and inedible. I did just eat around it. For my sides I got Mac and cheese and slaw. The Mac cooled down way fast and wasn't that great from the start. But the slaw went great with the bbq. I was also given a piece of Texas toast. It wasn't even toasted, just pulled out of the bag and put on my trey. I was disappointed. It does looks like it was at an old jiffy lube place. Which could be pretty cool. read more

I am from NYC and lived years in Texas and this does not even resemble a bbq place by Texas stabdards. If you think their food is good. You have never been to Alabama, Texas Mississippi. The burnt end was delicious and flavorful. The pulled pork was a little dry and tasteless. The sides were both delicious, especially the potato salad. It was enough meal for both of us to share for lunch. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I don't really care much about the different sauces. The sweet one was too sweet for my tasting.
