I was going for oven pizza but the restaurant was not yet open. I saw Nuts Castle and decided to stop to check it out. I am looking for healthy snack options and it appears that everything there is vegan. I was handed a tea cup and saucer upon entry and given samples of the most delicious Turkish treats I'd ever eaten. Everything I tried, I had the attendant add to my box. Everything was delicious. They freeze dry fresh fruit and blend it into powder, which when added to hot or cold water renders the most extravagant tasting tea! I bought pomegranate!!! I'll be back for sure!! read more

We passed this place the other night, and we knew we had to take another trip out to explore this place further! I knew I had to get some of the variously imported Turkish Delights and the bulk of the roasted & seasoned nuts for my parents, especially my dad, as he love some good nuts and nut snacks! In days gone by, the Chicago neighborhood around Harlem and Addison had a good-sized Italian population. Based on storefronts alone, the area is now more multicultural. And oh, what a pleasure that turned out to be! This Turkish sweet shop is almost next door to the pizza place our group went for dinner (Forno Rosso). I stopped in, just to look. Right. Impulse purchase of a variety of Turkish delight candy in pomegranate, rose and orange with and without nuts. Excellent. It was a major effort not to keep getting a bit more of this and that. The baklava was enticing. The bulk spices wafted fragrance, which reached out and grabbed me by the nose. The Turkish Delight never made it home. We ate it for dessert after Neapolitan pizza. Mmmmmm. My friend and I stopped in this shop on a whim after noticing the beautiful window displays when walking past. I wasn't prepared for how wonderful my experience would be. We were greeted by the person working there who was warm and friendly. She provides us with a sample of Turkish Delight after she overhead me telling my friend about it and wondering where it was in the store. They have a case full of various types of the sweet and every sample we tried was delicious. She answered a bunch of questions and was very patient with us. As we were about to check out, she gave us a sample of their BBQ mixed nuts, and they were fantastic. Both me and my friend got some. I don't normally like BBQ flavored things and would honestly never think to even ask for a sample of them. I'm glad she thought to give us one. She mentioned that they roast the nuts themselves every day, so they're always fresh. I highly recommend checking out this place. Awesome treat shop! The woman working is incredibly kind and helpful with navigating the variety of treats. I never had Turkish sweets before and was a little intimidated at first by the appearance with the nuts included in the rolls but she helped guide me to the ones she thought I might like and I absolutely loved them! The pomegranate flavor is so good and there's a pomegranate with blueberry that's probably my favorite. They make a great gift option for something different to take to a host at a dinner or to give to a friend or just for yourself and family as a special snack. They also have lots of flavored nuts and bulk candy, mostly gummies. I will definitely be coming back! I'm so happy this shop is nearby! read more

Beautiful store and great staff. Upon entering, my daughter and I were given four little teacups with delicious teas. We were also given samples of candy, which was so good! I bought some aromatic spices that were recommended, as well as some teas and Turkish delight. The woman working there said they'll have coffee soon, which will be a great addition to the neighborhood. I'm looking forward to Turkish coffee! The Baklava is really good. The powdered tea was yummy as well. Disappointed because they didn't have tea or coffee brewed.

Their nuts are old and stale- last 2 trips we had to throw nuts in garbage as it was so old- Only the first week they open it was nice and fresh- Service- pretty ok- ladies at counter are friendly. Store- clean and nice decorations read more

Stopped in with a friend the day after she went for the first time. We left with a variety of Turkish delights that we liked after the friendly staff let us try them out. Lots to pick from--it was overwhelming but in the best way. Will be back for sure. read more

I just went In To the store ,I purchased chocolate covered raisins that said the price was $5.99 , Instead they charge me $9.99 . The cashier stated that the price shown on the package as " the price" was not the price . Either they labeled it incorrectly or the deliberately over priced me . read more

Enchanting in every way! Beautiful, clean, and well stocked with many Turkish delicacies. You will not be able to resist making a purchase. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. We were offered a free tasting of different nuts as well as freshly brewed Turkish coffee. Both were delicious. The prices are reasonable. Even the many dazzling coffee service sets were affordable. I pass this place on the way to work and finally got to stop in with a friend. There was a young man behind the counter who immediately greeted us and began talking to us. Not long after, he brought us a sample. We had a few questions and he was very knowledgeable. He explained where certain products were from. He then asked us questions like do you like coffee? Try this nougat. Do you dark or milk chocolate? Then try these or these are my favorite. He offered up suggestions such as, "these make beautiful shower favors." Friendly, knowledgeable and hospitable. We selected several items and each bite was more delicious than the previous. I will be going back soon to fill up the Christmas stockings and to purchase a few gifts too. read more
