But then I discovered this is a scratch dinner service and when the food came out, it was exceptional. I come to find out that this is a scratch dinner preparation, meaning Nothing is made until you order, and sometimes with multiple people at your table plates may not come out at the same time because they may be batched with similar orders that came in at the same time from separate tables. Take for example the Beef Cheek pasta. One person at our table was served the beef cheek pasta as well as somebody at a separate table. But the other three diners at our table were still waiting for our meal for quite some time. But it comes out hot and It comes out freshly prepared, because it is not sitting there under a heat lamp, waiting for the other meals to be prepared. When my roast did chicken did arrive, along with my wife's shrimp and another diners scallops, everything was hot, fresh, outstanding and well worth the wait. The main reason for the two star rating was the service. Getting served drinks was a chore. You had to go up to the bar to order as there was no table service. Only one bartender was on site. Although there were maybe 10 people in the lounge, it took over 10 minutes to get a drink. I stood in line behind a couple and then another couple was behind me. After 5 minutes waiting for the line to move, the couple behind me left. The drinks I ordered (bourbon over ice and a vodka club soda) were not that difficult to make. They were not that strong for the price. We left after one drink.
