The fish and chips are dough like - not crispy. I think of fish and chips as crispy -- these were not. Did not enjoy.

Ordered the Smoked half chicken but after the food I was informed that two people in our group ordered the same thing and they only had two prepared for the early lunch and another table ordered one as well. Settled on smoked brisket which was good. To the restaurant's credit they still only charged me for the smoked chicken which I appreciated. The wife's sirloin was on the tuff and chewy side as was the broccoli. Not ordering those again. Our waitresses were polite and friendly. Atmosphere is normal for a steakhouse type restaurant. read more

The service was below average. Server was just kind of odd and didn't check on us much. Food wasn't great either. Girls trip thru town on the way to Nashville and we were so impressed with this place! Unfortunately, no photos of the food but the Hot Brown open faced Turkey was amazing. My friends ordered the Slim Jim, Steak salad, sirloin lunch and Philly Cheesesteak and we ate every bit of this delicious food! Everyone was so happy and satiated after road snacks all day. The atmosphere is a family restaurant vibe. Our server Georgia was a peach and the overall consensus of the stop was that it was amazing! Stopped for lunch, ordered a mushroom swiss burger off the menu @ $13.00, but when I got the check, they charged me $15.00 and an extra $2.00 for the mushrooms . Asked the manager why the difference, and was told I shouldn't rely on what the menu says. Very poor attitude. read more

We stopped and had dinner on a trip out of state. We have oysters in the half shell for appetizers, filets with blue cheese and mushrooms, baked potatoes and broccoli with cheese. Oysters were great! Steaks cooked perfectly. Broccoli had a cheese sauce in it that was too thick and didn't add to it at all. Great service and good food! We will stop again! read more

On our way to Murray for a graduation, we stopped to charge our Tesla and went to this restaurant while we waited. I got the fish and chips and my husband had the fish and shrimp. The waitress was nice but forgot my fries so I had to ask for them. I think she was confused because my husband said he didn't want fries that is why he got the fish and shrimp. The fish reminded me of Gordon's that you can get in the freezer section of the supermarket. The fish also deeply fried but still cold in the middle. I am glad it was cheap but still think I overpaid. To end things, pretty sure I saw an ant on the table. Big menu though if you want to risk it. read more

So just left the restaurant and was not pleased with the way my experience ended. The food was good as always and the bar tender / server was great. When I went to pay my bill I was informed that they no longer take $100 bills because they have gotten some that were counterfeit. I was told there was a sign on the door . Ultimately they took my $100 bills but It was an embarrassing situation. When I left I saw a small sign on the door stating they no longer take $100 bills. I asked for the manager and I told her that small sign was not adequate notice of their policy change. She defended the policy and when I told her I did not appreciate being treated like a potential criminal she told me to have a nice day. I did not appreciate being pandered to and I did not need to be told to have a nice day. If the restaurant is having trouble with counterfeit currency they need to install the equipment that verify the validity of the currency rather than insulting their customers. read more

For a busy Saturday night, we were seated within 5 minutes. There was live music too! Started with an amber beer and a good hearty bowl of chili. Then a brisket which was smoked and tender, and a kellerbier. He had a chicken breast, creamy Mac n cheese, and crunchy flavorful onion rings. Our waitress forgot a few things, not a big deal. She was super nice but running e erywhere. They were obviously busy. The manager was helping though. This was a good experience, but now onto Florida. Too cold, my only complaint! Lol read more

Fried pickles were spot on. Thinly battered, good ranch. Ordered brisket, wasn't till after the appetizer they realized they had no brisket, so ordered nachos. Probably wouldn't have been quite as bad if I hadn't been set on the brisket for the whole appetizer course, but when the came . . . . Greasy. The cheese ?sauce? This business is located next to a Tesla supercharger station on a drive to Nashville...from many places. I've had to charge nearby several times and The Oasis is the only decent , clean, non-fast food joint around. I've ordered a meal to-go once and it was great. Almost as important, twice they've allowed me to use the rest room even though they weren't open yet. I really think that's a great attitude and I'm thankful for their openness. They should look at a way to monetize their location for the Tesla chargers--there are a lot of people stopping there. read more

The BEST ribs! The meat literally slid off the bones. The mashed potatoes were some of the best I have ever had in a restaurant. My husband got the full rack and had to give me his potatoes because there was too much food. Ha. I got the Sirloin Salad which also was really good. The bread is the wonderful soft yeast rolls that melt in your mouth. Our server was very nice. We liked everything about this place. If we lived in the area we would make this a favorite place to go. I got the ribeye steak and mashed potatoes with gravy I ordered my steak medium rare and it came cooked correctly, the steak was tender and very flavorful, well seasoned. The mashed potatoes and gravy were very good, the gravy was delicious but there was very little of it on the mashed potatoes. For a 20 dollar ribeye with a side of mash I was pleasantly surprised. The only complaint I have on the food was it was advertised as half a pound but my steak was significantly smaller than my friends. The service was good and fast, I had a fly in my water when I first received it and it was quickly fixed, the food came out in a timely manner. The ambiance was good very rustic, homey, warm. Overall a nice experience, the downsides were overshadowed by the quality of the food. I recommend the ribeye. read more

Food is ok but not cheap. I never order their steaks as they are overpriced and not remarkable, better off buying one in the market and cooking it at home. Service has gone downhill, the impression is they all have better things to do. All servers show enough ink to make you feel you're in a biker bar. I have been here a few times. Thought I would give them yet another chance. No Buenos. Every time I have ordered a steak here they have disappointed me. I have sent back steak every time because they were fatty, burnt, chewy or just funky. I always end up with chicken, pork chop or a burger. I've given up on trying to get a decent steak but everything else is pretty good. The place is nice and it's got a good bar with nice TV situation for catching a game with average service and prices, just unfortunate that you can't get a decent steak in this steakhouse. Sad. The place itself is a decent steakhouse atmosphere which us clean and spacious and it definetly gives off s cowboy vibe. The staff has been hit or miss with pleasant attentive folks to the unfortunate where the hell is a waiter issue. Overall this is not the best eatery but rather average for the area, and since it's one of the few actual bars in the area it's kind one of the better surrounding choices. read more

After a 12 hour drive we rolled into Kuttawa and ordered carry out from The Oasis Southwest Grill. We chose not to dine in as it looked crowded and we didn't see people walking in and wearing masks. No thank you! I ordered the Sirloin Salad with bleu cheese dressing, my husband ordered the chicken quesadilla appetizer. We got the meal back to our hotel...no silverware (luckily we had some plastic spoons with is , I received a plain salad...no sirloin, no bleu cheese crumbles and I have no idea what was the dressing. My husband got the full quesadilla dinner, with the nasty refried beans and processed guacamole. So disappointing. My recommendation if you choose to order carry out from This restaurant is that you check your meal before driving away. read more
