We visited the Office Spiritorium the evening of July 2 and had an amazing time. First off, the ambiance is even better than five stars. My husband does commercial interiors and is super picky about quality, and kept telling me he couldn't find a single thing that the hotel did wrong either in the (centuries old) original construction or the maintenance and renovations that have taken place over the years. The interior is lush, historical and very very high end. Yet, it is comfortable enough that you can relax if you're wearing semi-casual clothing (as we were). Secondly, we had five drinks, including a mango margarita and a gimlet and all were well done, with complex notes, and at a reasonable price ($12-14 per, and I'd expect to pay $15+ for a cocktail of that quality in an equivalent environment in a larger city). There's also the benefit of ordering off any one of the hotel's three restaurant menus. I ordered the Mediterranean appetizer (which had hummus and two other dips with fresh pita bread) and the hummus was lemony and garlicky and everything good while the pita quarters were fresh and fluffy. Yum. My husband had some creatively named nachos which had wonton skins, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese and Italian sausage and he's still talking about them a week later. Very fresh and very unique. The service was also exceptional. They have a small staff and anyone can help you. They aren't super speedy (just not the vibe) but the fact that they obviously work as a team means that someone is usually walking by your table every 2-3 minutes and everyone was gracious and friendly. The cherry on top of the entire experience was the guest guitarist they had playing. He was AMAZING and we stayed an extra hour just for him. Youngish guy with blonde hair that knows his songs and his instrument inside out and backwards and is more than a decent singer to boot. Great environment and a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Bravo!

Gorgeous spot for a few drinks on Main Street! After a full day of walking, shopping and exploring Durango we stopped by this beautiful little bar for a night cap. It's a quaint two-story layout decorated in rich wood and vintage decor. We found the best spot in the place, right in front of fireplace and near the very talented live musician. Our server, Ms. V was cute and sweet but very busy as she seemed to be the only server. Our drinks were good but we were only able to get a couple due to last call at 10p. Hope to visit again soon!

    Cute cocktail napkins :)

Loved this place! Wanted to go somewhere for a cocktail after dinner and this was the perfect spot. The ambiance of the place makes you feel like you're in the 1920s. My drink, the Emperors Garden, was fantastic. There was also someone playing live music! I just sipped my drink and enjoyed the music for about an hour. Great place to just hang and enjoy a drink- even if you're by yourself like I was!

The office A elk steak with asparagus, oysters Rockefeller, mushrooms stuffed with Italian sausage and I veal Demi, perfect! Matt, Carson, Jade and Sallie were amazing. Each and Everyone had their own individual personalities that were amazing. I cannot imagine going back to this place and not one of those for working there it would not be as fun. We had some great old fashions, actually they were so good that we ended up ordering another for each of us. Once again, I always thank the employees for working, we love them and I love that they had live music. The guy was really entertaining. I WOULD RECOMMEND.

Last night we enjoyed music from the 60s & 70s while we drank water & mixed drinks. Tonight the music is mellow & contemporary from a different guitarist. Niece is having another Shirley Temple since she is 11 years away from drinking age. I decided to try the Black Market. Older niece and her hubby tried something different - Dirty Martini instead of Jack Daniels and Secretary instead of Lemon Drop. All were delicious. They were not too expensive - average prices. Lots of choices to drink in different price ranges - and appetizers from low to high. We had excellent potstickers last night. Tonight we just had drinks because we have dinner reservations down the street. Last night we sat in a booth by the window. Tonight we sat by the fireplace, but had no fire. Both nights we had excellent service. We were also comfortable in both seating places.

The Office!! I spotted this Spiritorium the first time we drove downtown and I was intrigued. I was destined to go here during our 9-day stay and I am so happy we made it. *smiles* I love, love, love the intimate atmosphere. During our visit, the guitarist was looping Johnny Cash and I was in heaven. the fireplace was next to us, we had a great window seat and our server was a gem of a delight. I ordered a dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives and I was impressed. Buzzed and impressed. I wish we would have nibbled on an appetizer since the reviews favor the food just as much as the cocktails.

I'm not sure the button actually works. I never felt the need to try since our server was so attentive.

We did not eat here, but our drinks and cocktails were great! The service was perfect. All her drink suggestions were on point. The crowd seemed lively and happy. I just might be going back today!

Our server was a delight. Cocktails were top drawer, but the prime rib special was disappointing. Stick with drinks and appetizers here.

I love buttery Chardonnays and Rombauer may be among the best I have had, it reminded me of the award-winning Château Montelena, Chardonnay. For those of you who have never seen the movie Bottle Shock, watch it, It's a wonderful lesson in wine history. I'm definitely buying some Rombauer for my personal collection when I return to Vegas. My appetizer was a tasty peppery kick calamari dish. The kick wasn't too bad for you non spicy folks. The dish was light and crispy just how great calamari should be. Then came the branzino. I do not eat the skin of fish typically, but this dish was to tasty and the skin was the perfect level of crispy. The branzino and the wine went so well together, I was eating my desert early. The flavors popped in my mouth. At this point I was done but my amazing waiter Tyler did ask if I wanted to see the desert Menu and since I thought if the rest of the food was this delicious why not. I ended up ordering the white chocolate cheesecake. OH MY GOD, it melted in my mouth. The cheesecake wasn't overly rich but it was smooth, definitely fresh. The berries and the whipped cream balanced it out and that cheesecake didn't stand a chance. As a foodie from Las Vegas, I have been to a numerous amount of amazing restaurants. I cannot express my surprise at finding seasons here in Durango. This is definitely going to be one of my go to restaurants every time I visit this beautiful town. From the moment I walked through the door to the time that I left the service the food and the ambience was simply perfect. I highly recommend this place for anyone who enjoys great service and even better food. Take a bow Chef, you have a new fan. From Vegas with love!

We had found ourselves on a waitlist at some "fried stuff with cheese" restaurant down the street, which nothing at all looked appetizing to me so I vetoed. Got on Yelp, found 636 well rated nearby and the menu looked wonderful. Got here to a healthy amount of patrons and warm ambiance/atmosphere. Service was great despite me being an annoying tourist. I tried every dish we had plus the hot rolls, which have a buttery pimento dip. Everyone agreed that the food was spectacular. Of all the things to love about 636 (which there are many), my favorite is that when I mentioned our anniversary to the lady, she said "Oh! I'll get the anniversary confetti!" Hilarious and endearing. I love Durango already, and 636 made such a great impression. Thank you!

We were seated on the patio and it took quite a while for our server to greet us. Once she did, she brought water and took our drink order. She returned with our drinks and said she would be back to take our food order. We had plenty to talk about while waiting, but she repeatedly walked past our table to attend to other tables without stopping. Eventually, I had to stop her and let her know we were ready to order. My wife and our friend's wife both ordered a pasta dish with sliced steak and spinach. My friend had a salad with salmon and a bowl of soup, and I ordered the filet with potato lasagna and spinach. As the evening went on, it became breezy and chilly. I asked another server if the patio heater could be turned on, and someone came over right away to help, which we appreciated. When our meals arrived, everything looked excellent and tasted very good. The food was definitely the highlight of the evening. Unfortunately, our server only stopped by our table once during the entire meal to check on us and it was lien she was in a rush to leave to table. We spent a long time waiting to see if she would ask whether we needed anything or if we were finished. It wasn't as though she had to go out of her way to reach us--she walked past our table numerous times while serving her other tables. Because of the lack of attention, I once again had to get her attention to let her know we were finished and ask for a dessert menu. I ordered the Dubai Chocolate dessert to go after she highly recommended it. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the description once I had a chance to eat it. The chocolate flavor was very mild, and the crunchy layer on the bottom was not particularly enjoyable nothing like a Dubai Chocolate. Overall, the food was excellent and deserving of praise. However, for a fine dining restaurant where both the food and drinks come at premium prices, the service fell well short of expectations. Great meals can make for a memorable evening, but attentive service is an important part of the fine dining experience, and unfortunately that was missing during our visit.

She took the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad to Silverton, but unfortunately I wasn't able to go because of a medical condition that prevents me from traveling to high altitudes, and the train climbs to around 10,000 feet. After she left on her adventure, I decided to find some breakfast. While I was walking around town, my aunt called. She and my uncle used to vacation in Ouray every year, so she knows the area well. She recommended Jean-Pierre Bakery, so that's where I headed. I was seated right away and ordered a coffee while I looked over the menu. My waitress was very friendly, and we chatted for a while. She even recommended a few places around town that I should check out. I finally decided on the Croque Monsieur (brioche, béchamel, ham, and Swiss cheese) served with a salad. When my meal arrived, it looked fantastic. The sandwich was delicious, rich, and full of flavor. It was my first time trying a Croque Monsieur, and I really enjoyed it. The salad was fresh and crisp, and the vinaigrette paired perfectly with it. After finishing my meal, I couldn't resist ordering a pistachio cream-filled éclair that had caught my eye when I first walked in. It looked beautiful, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The pastry was very dry, and the bottom was quite hard. It definitely didn't taste freshly made. The pistachio cream had a nice flavor, but there wasn't very much of it. I mentioned my concerns to my server, and she kindly brought me a chocolate éclair to try instead. It also looked wonderful, but it had the same problem. The pastry tasted old, almost like it had been sitting for a couple of days. I would absolutely return for another Croque Monsieur or to try something else from the breakfast or lunch menu because that part of the meal was excellent. As for the pastries, they certainly look beautiful, but based on my experience, I would probably pass on them next time. This would have been a solid 4 star if those eclair had of been good.
