Pasta was extremely dry. I got the bolognese and there was barely any sauce and the little there was dried up the pasta. Would've given it less stars, but the pasta itself was made very well. Just a bummer to see at dry pasta with barely any meat. Wanted to use my bread to soak up the sauce but there wasn't even enough to keep the pasta wet. Ordering experience was odd, having to walk up to the counter. Pretty pointless. Bread was good. Wine was awful. Definitely would not return. Salad was way overpriced.

Soooo good! Stopped on our way to Pagosa Springs and it was the perfect dinner. Brought our two dogs & sat on the patio. The pesto pasta was delicious.

The most amazing pesto pasta I've ever had in my life, and the pasta bolognese in the back.

We headed to Durango for our honeymoon, without realizing that reservations are SO important on weekends, and this tiny place caught our eye when all of the other restaurants were packed to the gills. We headed in to the counter-style service and put in our orders, along with a bottle of Barbera D'Asti to split as we enjoyed the sunshine during happy hour. The dishes came out pretty quickly and smelled delicious! I got the pesto pasta dish (it's no longer on their online menu since they switched to an Autumn menu) with thin slices of pancetta, and my husband got the Bolognese with local ground beef, and a red wine and cream sauce. Each dish came with a pillowy piece of focaccia bread that was garlicky and heavenly. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that this was one of the best Italian meals I've ever had in my entire life, hence only one picture since I didn't have the patience to wait to dig in. The homemade pasta was perfectly al dente, the sauce coated the noodles without drowning them, the bread was like eating a delicious cloud and the wine was an absolutely perfect pairing. The staff came around to refill our waters and see how we were enjoying the dishes, and were very helpful with recommendations while we ordered, suggesting different styles of noodles and describing the differences and most popular combinations. They have the noodles sitting in the glass case so you can see what the styles are before you make your selection. We had an amazing time and were shocked that this place wasn't overflowing with customers, seeing how delicious the food was. We went back twice more just to enjoy the patio, the happy hour wine and the delicious aromas.

Besides being super friendly, this place has amazing food. I had the Caco de Pepe, and (I can't remember the name of the salad!) we shared an arugula salad. The focaccia bread is perfect, we got a basket for the table. It comes with marinara that is authentic. Soooooo good, I will be back.

Great place or the price, been there several times. I highly recommend. One of Durango better places.

My meatball sandwich was underwhelming. The roll difficult to cut and the meatballs were extremely salty. I would never order this again.

Great service but not so good food and ambience. Food was extremely greasy. I hope it will improve.

what is there to say about this place?…read more i personally have never eaten anything here EXCEPT their bakery goods which were superb, best in town, hands down. Every morning they seem to have a wide selection of freshly baked pastries, good coffee, big smiles and a beautiful building. I have seen their breakfasts being delivered to tables and can say they look delicious but a big breakfast sends me straight back to bed... When i am in town.. i stop here every single time, always, without fail.

She took the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad to Silverton, but unfortunately I wasn't able to go because of a medical condition that prevents me from traveling to high altitudes, and the train climbs to around 10,000 feet. After she left on her adventure, I decided to find some breakfast. While I was walking around town, my aunt called. She and my uncle used to vacation in Ouray every year, so she knows the area well. She recommended Jean-Pierre Bakery, so that's where I headed. I was seated right away and ordered a coffee while I looked over the menu. My waitress was very friendly, and we chatted for a while. She even recommended a few places around town that I should check out. I finally decided on the Croque Monsieur (brioche, béchamel, ham, and Swiss cheese) served with a salad. When my meal arrived, it looked fantastic. The sandwich was delicious, rich, and full of flavor. It was my first time trying a Croque Monsieur, and I really enjoyed it. The salad was fresh and crisp, and the vinaigrette paired perfectly with it. After finishing my meal, I couldn't resist ordering a pistachio cream-filled éclair that had caught my eye when I first walked in. It looked beautiful, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The pastry was very dry, and the bottom was quite hard. It definitely didn't taste freshly made. The pistachio cream had a nice flavor, but there wasn't very much of it. I mentioned my concerns to my server, and she kindly brought me a chocolate éclair to try instead. It also looked wonderful, but it had the same problem. The pastry tasted old, almost like it had been sitting for a couple of days. I would absolutely return for another Croque Monsieur or to try something else from the breakfast or lunch menu because that part of the meal was excellent. As for the pastries, they certainly look beautiful, but based on my experience, I would probably pass on them next time. This would have been a solid 4 star if those eclair had of been good.

Started with the Pepper de Gallo - a spicy tequila libation - and had the calamari on a recommendation from Roxy. I love buttery Chardonnays and Rombauer may be among the best I have had, it reminded me of the award-winning Château Montelena, Chardonnay. For those of you who have never seen the movie Bottle Shock, watch it, It's a wonderful lesson in wine history. I'm definitely buying some Rombauer for my personal collection when I return to Vegas. My appetizer was a tasty peppery kick calamari dish. The kick wasn't too bad for you non spicy folks. The dish was light and crispy just how great calamari should be. Then came the branzino. I do not eat the skin of fish typically, but this dish was to tasty and the skin was the perfect level of crispy. The branzino and the wine went so well together, I was eating my desert early. The flavors popped in my mouth. At this point I was done but my amazing waiter Tyler did ask if I wanted to see the desert Menu and since I thought if the rest of the food was this delicious why not. I ended up ordering the white chocolate cheesecake. OH MY GOD, it melted in my mouth. The cheesecake wasn't overly rich but it was smooth, definitely fresh. The berries and the whipped cream balanced it out and that cheesecake didn't stand a chance. As a foodie from Las Vegas, I have been to a numerous amount of amazing restaurants. I cannot express my surprise at finding seasons here in Durango. This is definitely going to be one of my go to restaurants every time I visit this beautiful town. From the moment I walked through the door to the time that I left the service the food and the ambience was simply perfect. I highly recommend this place for anyone who enjoys great service and even better food. Take a bow Chef, you have a new fan. From Vegas with love!
