Mediterranean Burrata Salad: Arugula, Couscous, Tomatoes, Pesto Vinaigrette, Burrata, Balsamic-Honey Glaze, Pistachios, Garlic Crostini

Visited three times so far and find the food and service consistent. Small cozy space. Reservations recommended. Bar seating is available. Service is attentive but not intrusive. The shrimp spring rolls were everything you want in a fried spring roll. The burrata salad was fresh, bright and so flavorful. Both the crispy iceburg wedge and the fries were declared the best we've had. The carrot cake and tiramisu were also favorites. Other items enjoyed by our party: Prime Rib special, scallop special, cedar plank salmon.

We are sooo glad we chose this spot for dinner. After a week of hikes we wanted a rewarding, good, hearty meal. This hit the spot Make RESERVATIONS!!! We set at the bar while we were waiting on our reservation time and its a lil warm inside, so we chose patio seating. Its all covered! Service on the patio was awesome, shout out to our waitress Rachel! We started with the calamari. OMG! Some of the best I've had. It's the rings, battered perfectly (good taste & batter stuck), served with house-made fettuccini pasta and fresh marinara sauce (bold, flavorful and a great addition). Lil drizzle of lemon aioli on the top. There was just 2 of us in our party, but we were kinda full after finishing just that. I ordered the filet mignon. It was so tended, well seasoned. Perfectly what I wanted. Potato lasagna (think scalloped but creamier) was really good!!!! Even the spinach was decent and I hate spinach. My husband got the NY strip and was very pleased it was tender and a great cut! His came with asparagus, which he shared and was cooked perfectly crisp, and mashed potatoes. Overall we would definitely dine here again when in Durango!! Honestly I chose this over 2 other steak restaurants based on website and menu visual appeal, it looked the most legit and well put together, and it did not disappoint!

we were fortunate to stumble across 636 Main Ave. on July 3 while in town for one day. So incredibly thankful to have had dinner in this fabulous restaurant the food is off the charts and the service was excellent as well. They must do well in Durango Colorado. And there's a charming patio in the back where you can eat as well.

Really good food and a great overall experience. The server was super friendly, easygoing, and made the night feel relaxed. It's a perfect little date night spot. My wife and I split the porterhouse steak, and we both agreed the filet side was noticeably better than the strip side. The scalloped potatoes were good, but despite sounding fancy, they were pretty much just standard scalloped potatoes without anything especially unique.

I really enjoyed my dinner at 636! I stopped by wanting to try either the grouper or the gnocchi, but I wasn't very hungry at the time. I ended up getting the gnocchi which came with a little bit of spinach, and was the PERFECT amount of food, and it was delicious! The vibe inside was also just really nice in general, and my server Braxton was very attentive. This is a great option for a date spot right on the Main Street. Had super clean bathrooms too. I was a big fan!

Due to (for us good) staffing the owner was our hostess. She has a restaurant that completely makes sense why they are packed. The ambience was subdued inside be we opted for the outside dining alfresco style. Patio lights, heaters, and foliage that made it magical. Food was scrumptious. I didn't get the pork shoulder green chill stew but, yum. The wine braised beef tips over roasted mashed potatoes was well balanced and deep in flavor with tender meat. Head here, pricing is very reasonable given the package.

Appetizers are huge, just an FYI! We had ahi, lettuce cups and split the halibut which was fabulous! It was all really good and we will be back.

636 Main Ave is a lively dining experience. I arrived for the prime rib but sadly the restaurant ran out. Still, the ribeye was a good substitute and was cooked to my order. Served staff were friendly which added to the meal. I loved the crème brûlée. My Old Fashion cocktail did not live up to the hype and arrived warm quickly melting the cube. Even so it was a good place to dine

The food was exceptional. Pistachio covered grouper delicious with sweet potato mashed potatoes. The pot stickers appetizer was very tasty and showed off their Asian inclination. Good wine list by the glass. Convenient location. Recommendation. Be careful with their reservation system. I made one for the dining room or patio. When I got there, I said that and the hostess would only seat us on the wet, damp, cold patio. I asked for inside seating and was told it would be an hour wait. A server came by and said, she'd been cut because no one was eating outside. Yep, We were the only ones on the patio. It seems when it rains in Durango, everyone but me, eats inside. My recommendation. Do not make a reservation. Take your chances on walk in and if its an hour wait, go somewhere else.

The restaurant is tiny, a narrow shotgun type unit in a building along main street. We managed to get one of their five tables and were promptly served drinks and time to look over the menu before ordering the Country Benedict. My coffee was kept filled as we waited for our order. As soon as the plate hit the table, I knew that even though the owner had changed, the spirit of the place remained. The plate of food was massive; more than the two of us could eat. The plate included two halves of an excellent biscuit, half of a large sausage patty on each, an over easy egg; all smothered in country sausage gravy. The other half of the plate had a mound of beautiful browned hash browns. Enough for four people or at least two very hungry people. It was glorious and nostalgic. The flavor was everything I wanted it to be. If you are in or near Durango, please consider giving this true old diner a try. Thanks to Greg, the new owner, for continuing Gary's recipes and hospitality.

We stopped in for breakfast when we didn't realize there was an art festival going on in the city of Durango, so we expected it to feel crowded, busy and rushed. They found a table for us right away (part of that was lucky timing on our part), but provided great service.... Answering all of our questions and asking where we are from and overall friendly service. We all ordered the breakfast burritos and it was better than what we expected. I highly recommend the green chili sauce they smother the burrito in.... It's super tasty! And in the end, the price was lower than we expected.... So, great environment, great food. 5 stars! I would be happy to come back to this one!

To her credit, our kind waitress had the kitchen quickly make me a new one, but honestly it was still borderline inedible. This time, due to the salt. Not only was the meat heavily salted, but the breading was overly salted as well. I couldn't even taste the meat or the breading (or even the potatoes) because it wasn't a giant plate of salt. I ate all the broccolini, a few bites of potatoes, and a few bites of steak. I hate that all restaurants, because of patrons and their salt-conditioned palates, serve the most sodium-laden monstrosities possible. I didn't feel good eating it, I didn't want to eat more than a few bites, and I left the restaurant full of regret for the bites I did take. On the plus side, the beer is exceptionally tasty, and my kids both enjoyed their meals. We are leaving tomorrow and so we won't be back, but I wouldn't be back otherwise as well.
