Best restaurant in Durango!!! Best vibe, food & people!!! The drinks & delicious dishes!!!

Made Valentine's reservations for our family, we had a good time. You can get dressed up to celebrate here. The fixed menu was good but there were some regular menu items I would have liked to try more that were not available. Btw, there were other families with kids there as well so we did not feel like we were crashing a couples night. My mushroom pasta was delicious but I would probably not order again, it was extremely mushroomy which is not what I usually go for. Still glad I tried it, as it wasore appealing than the other options. The caprese salad was my favorite, large portions and beautiful presentation. The caesar salad was well done and tasted homemade. My Italian old fashioned was *amazing*! The steak and mashed potatoes were cooked well. The included prosecco was a nice touch but I didn't drink it, it gives me a headache. There was a kids menu and they enjoyed their butter noodles. The dessert options were good, a bit uninspired: strawberry cannoli and blueberry cheesecake. As someone who typically detests cheesecake, this was excellent. Had less of that gross cream cheese texture I despise and more like a pound cake texture. Ambience was classy and they had lots of holiday decor and photo ops. Attentive service. Would go again. read more

Want to feel like you've been to Italy? Go to Perbacco. I sat at the bar to have a glass of wine and a salad. Greeted at the front of the house with a big smile and a Welcome. I knew good things were coming. The bar tender introduced himself, Alex, and before I could sit down a plate of focaccia was before me with a side of olive oil and balsamic. Wow. Plus the focaccia was slightly browned on top inviting me to "dip." Next a super Tuscan before me. Alex drops a little in the glass for me to taste and the manager walks by grabs the bottle and drops in more than a taste- smiling laughing and telling me to enjoy. I'm feeling like I'm having a Lake Como experience only I'm in Durango, Co. Weird huh? Good weird. I wish I had tried the dishes I saw. Next time. Go, you won't be disappointed. read more

Excellent local Italian restaurant. The service was great and very friendly. They went out of their way to make my wife a custom pasta dish that she'd like with vegetables. They were very good to our three children and made them some custom desserts are they are picky. We will come back when we visit my brother again. The food was delicious. We had an early reservation on a Saturday evening. We were sat quickly. Our server came over to welcome us and provided us with the list of apps and specials right away. Our server brought bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Delish! We ordered the mussels for an appetizer, which was tasty. We used the remainder of our bread for the mussel broth. I ordered the venison, with mased potatoes and broccolini, one of the specials. I was amazed at the portion size. My partner ordered the seafood risotto, again portion size was amazing, and the food was absolutely delicious! Our last course was dessert. We ordered cheesecake and a cannoli, and both were amazing. I absolutely loved the food and portions. The restaurant itself, has three rooms to it, one room had the bar in it. We were sat in the room closest to the train, and there were large windows in the room, which provided a lot of natural light. We will be going back to try the other food choices. read more

We had such a great experience at Perbacco Cucina Italiana! Even though it was a last minute and busy 4th of July evening we were greeted right away by a few friendly staff members. Our server which was also one of the owners was fantastic, super attentive and kind as well as personable! The seafood pasta was absolutely amazing, full of flavor easily a 10/10. Reminded me of one I had in Italy..just tasted so authentic and fresh. The focaccia bread was delicious, and the Chardonnay was perfectly chilled. Portions were big! Service was fantastic. Food was worse than mediocre but not to the level of bad. The salmon was super over cooked the Brussels sprouts or came with were cold and flavorless nor luke warm they were cold, the cubed potatoes it came with were luke warm and flavorless. The pesto sauce if you detected a trend also flavorless. The ambiance during Christmas is also nice. Maybe come and get a drink while waiting for the train but definitely skip the food. read more

The good- the service was spectacular. They welcomed us in our PJs from the Polar Express ride same as they did the "appropriately" dressed customers. We did not have a reservation on Christmas Eve but they took us in. The ehh‍- the food was okay. I've had better ravioli at Olive Garden. The lasagna was bland. The BAD- teenager stopped eating his spaghetti and meatballs bc the meatball tasted off. When did he tell us it tasted off??! Our server was Dillion and he had plenty of help, seems everyone there chips in to make sure you have a wonderful dining experience. We shared the Cesar salad to start off with. Then we both had an entree. I chose the parppardelle w the 4 meat bolognese. My wife had to try the Lasagna. The lasagna is so meaty and rich! Both entrees were amazing and huge portions! I made a last minute reservation and got a friendly greeting when I arrived. I was lucky to get a spot outside because it was so nice out. My server was very knowledgeable about the food and wine. I started with a cocktail that I didn't love, so I probably should've stuck with his wine recommendations. They brought out a variety of bread to start, which was nice. I enjoyed my pasta, wine, and I had limoncello to finish. This is right by the train station, so it's a great way to end a day on the train. read more

Terrible not properly trained waiting staff. Got served bread and the waitress forgot the dipping sauce. Also no training on how to properly pour wine. It was awkward to watch. We asked for the kids food to come out first asap with our appetizers, did not happen. My beef carpaccio clearly had been premade as the overwhelming lemon zest sauce had oxide the meat and it was glued to the ice cold plate. Main course was smothered in heavy cream and it arrived while we still had the empty appetizers plates that our waitress refused to remove. Even after passing multiple times. So we had to remove the plates for the new food and set them by the window. This restaurant is beyond overpriced for the quality of service and food. Same glass of bourbon is $3 cheaper a few establishments down the road. Also not kids friendly at all as mentioned in other reviews. read more

Our visit to Perbacco's couldn't have been better! Highly recommended by our hotel staff we stopped in for an early dinner before taking the train. Sure, it's a little pricey but really, not much more than some others in the area and so well worth it! We made a reservation and sat as soon as we arrived in a cute corner table in the bar near the windows. The waitstaff was excellent, as was the food. We had a caprese salad which was a great size to share. Then, for our entrees we had the pappardelle ai funghi porcini and it was excellent - the pasta was perfect with the fresh noodles, mushrooms and a bit of truffle oil. We also had the BYO pasta with pappardelle, cacio e pepe and some sizable shrimp. We were so full - our only regret was not getting a dessert to go. read more

Their Fennel sausage that was part of the dish was outstanding .the entire dish was great! Generous portions. Brought some home. Their Cesare salad was perfect. As a celiac, I'm so grateful to have a locally owned Italian restaurant that is so intentional about their ingredients. Massimo uses a specific gluten free flour he has delivered from Italy to make the gluten free gnocchi, which is delicious! Our family has tried it with the coniglio (so yum!), pesto, the boscaiola, and the short rib ragu, and every one of these sauces has been incredible. We've also orders the branzino, which we also enjoyed. Massimo and I his wife Kim are thoughtful, delightful restaurant owners who are passionate about their food, their business, and meeting our community. Perbacco was quite a nice surprise! The ambiance of the entry and bar area is very historic. I had the Burrata salad, it was excellent and generously proportioned. For the main course I had the cannelloni. It tasted really good and was hot throughout. The Tiramisu was Da Bomb! They really crushed it. The service provided was very good, we were a party of 5 and was well taken care of. This is a must stop for dinner when in Durango,CO. read more

We came to Durango for a little getaway and found this gem. Came in one night and they were 30 mins from closing but said "please come in no problem". We sat in the bar area and ordered the pappardelle bolognese and when I tell you this was the Jesus Sauce, you listen. Absolutely authentic, 4 meat bolognese did not disappoint. Capped off with a nice Espresso and it made the night. We came back the very next night and were even more blown away. Our group had a fantastic dinner here for our Board of Directors. Kim was so professional. She intuitively knew what our group would need for a successful event, and the planning process was so smooth. Our final menu had a variety of chicken and beef dishes, and all of it was deliciously prepared. The Arancini Marinara (fried risotto ball) appetizers were a big hit and such a creative addition to our meal. The wait staff was also very friendly and attentive.
