We decided to do a walk in and was quickly seated at the bar which has the full menu. The location is great and it's within walking distance of a lot of the other shops, restaurants, and bars. The building is really beautiful and has so much history. Downstairs has a cool dark and gloomy old vault with a full bar, has individual rooms, and there was a piano player and singer while we were there. The atmosphere was definitely my favorite part. The drinks at the downstairs bar were just okay. I ordered the Pink Lady and thought it tasted a little watered down. The food was delicious but portions are a little small. I ordered the shrimp and grits, which was an appetizer, along with the crab cake and fried green tomatoes. Those two filled me up. The shrimp and grits came with five shrimp, but they were tasty. The crab cake was also really good, while the fried green tomatoes were okay. My coworker ordered the chicken pot pie and really enjoyed it. Our server was incredibly friendly and personable, and we really enjoyed talking with him. The manager also came by and chatted with us and told us the story behind why it's called the olde Pink House. Overall, the food was good, the service was exceptional, and the history and decor make this place worth visiting. Writing this review for those travelers that LOVE food and dislike tourtist traps. The Olde Pink House was definitely our most disappointing meal in Savannah. With so many genuinely great restaurants in this city, I do regret wasting one of our dinners here, as we are huge foodies and make it an integral part of our travels. The food wasn't bad exactly--it was just thoroughly mediocre, dated, and everything had such heavy preparations. Nothing was particularly wrong, but nothing was particularly good either. It felt like a restaurant coasting on its reputation, historic setting, and steady stream of tourists rather than a kitchen trying to compete with Savannah's much more interesting food scene. The service was also very awkward and medicre. Our food took forever to arrive (it was 50 minutes after we were seated before we even received a wedge salad) yet the waitstaff seemed almost obsessively focused on checking back with us while we were still sitting there without any food. We were seated in an extremely dark upstairs room that felt more like a former attic or hayloft than someplace you'd choose to have dinner. I understand that the historic building is part of the attraction, but our particular room had very little atmosphere beyond being dark. Overall, this felt like a classic tourist trap: famous, heavily recommended, and ultimately underwhelming. Savannah has far too many excellent restaurants to settle for an expensive, outdated meal simply because the building is pink and historic. I'd definitely pass. The main upstairs dining room, with the ornate molding and chandeliers, is stunning, the downstairs bar is moody and has a speakeasy feel. We had the special of stuffed grouper, friend chicken, pecan crusted salmon, and the chicken pot pie. The biscuits were insanely delicious. Drinks were strong. Everything's worth the $$$ splurge. The only complaint we had which was a mistake that the server explained and apologized for, was when they put in the table. The order didn't go through because they assigned to the wrong table or didn't hit submit so we did wait a little bit for our food. But the restaurant made up for it. We tried making reservations online but said they were full so we tried calling at it was so hard to hear the person on the other end of the phone so we opted for walking and getting a reservation in person. Even with our reservations at 9pm at night the place was still busy with people coming and going. The food we ordered was delicious and came out in a timely manner. The Olde Pink House was the perfect way to wrap up our first day in Savannah. First of all, it's a big beautiful pink house. All the vibes as you walk in. It's dark and cozy and so historic. We were seated in the best little nook on the lower level, just off the bar. We could hear the live music trickle in as we enjoyed dinner. The food was amazing, from start to finish. The drinks were some of the best we've ever had. We had the best service from the bartender at the bar while we waited for our table to be ready to our server - who was full of recommendations and suggestions. It reminds me a bit of the Goblin Market in Mount Dora, only not as busy with the decor. That search led me to The Olde Pink House--a magnificent historic mansion dating back to 1771, now home to one of Savannah's most memorable restaurants. The décor is beautiful, with antique furnishings, fireplaces, elegant woodwork, chandeliers, and enough historical character to make any ghost hunter feel immediately at home. The building is surprisingly large, with numerous dining rooms, each decorated and arranged differently. Exploring it feels almost like wandering through a well-preserved haunted mansion--though thankfully, the staff were much friendlier than the ghosts I had recently captured. The food was excellent, and everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered. I'm not usually much of a beer drinker, but I tried the Hostess City, a craft beer brewed exclusively for The Olde Pink House, and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Our server was wonderful, and we were even able to exchange ghost stories with them. We all had a good laugh, although I'm fairly certain one of the portraits nearby was laughing along with us. We arrived dressed entirely in black, and not a single person batted an eye. In Savannah, this is apparently considered perfectly respectable evening attire--or perhaps everyone simply assumed we were attending a funeral for one of the restless dead. After dinner, we asked whether we could explore the other sections of the restaurant, and we were told it would be no problem. We were able to visit the different dining rooms and examine the antiques and objects respectfully without disturbing the other guests. Be sure to visit the bar downstairs, Planters Tavern. It has a wonderfully haunted atmosphere, with brick walls, old-world décor, and a beautiful fireplace that must be especially inviting during the winter months. The basement's fireplaces were reportedly part of the home's original kitchen, which only adds to the feeling that the room remembers far more than it lets on. The Olde Pink House offers excellent food, beautiful surroundings, friendly service, and just enough supernatural atmosphere to keep a ghost hunter interested. We were there for a conference and luckily someone made a Friday night reservation months in advance. The grits were a grit cake, with the shrimp on top, with collard greens on the side. Amazing flavor, so delicious. The fish sandwich was delicious. I had mahi mahi with a flavorful dressing, and a side of spinach. The mahi was huge and perfectly cooked on a tasty brioche roll. Since we were celebrating our anniversary we decided on dessert. Before our dessert came, they brought a candlestick to the table. Nice touch. We had the Peanut Butter and Praline Mousse bombe. Outstanding! So rich and delicious. We had the Key Lime Pie with fresh whipped cream. So yummy. Jaden suggested we take a look around the mansion before we left. We looked at different dining rooms, the bar area, and the basement. For the life of me, I can't grasp any experience at the Olde Pink House as anything less than special. First, our server Brianna was excellent. In addition to her attentiveness, she never hesitated at getting answers to questions in which she didn't have expertise. Her manager, Justin, Aldo made multiple table visits to ensure our dining experience was exceptional. The food was outstanding, both my wife's salmon and my grouper. Perfectly cooked, with balanced textures and flavors. Our blackened oyster appetizer was also excellent. Even their biscuits were among the best I ever had. The wine list is not as extensive as other restaurants of similar class, but its diversity exceeded many of those others. Having access to a Spanish voldeorras was a real treat! On our next visit we plan on dining in the historic basement tavern. The candlelit walls and tables appear to take it back in time. As a side note to gentleman diners, if you're not comfortable in a tie maybe you can at least find a shirt with a collar. And maybe leave the ball caps at home. I must admit I was a little skeptical that this was one of those restaurants that was more about the "experience" than the actual meal but I would have been wrong! We booked our reservation two weeks in advance knowing it sells out just about every evening. So much history to this establishment, It's a beautiful place with food and service to match the beauty. The Olde Pink House is iconic for a reason. One bite of the butter-soft biscuits and it immediately made sense. It is impossible to stop at just one; Exactly what a Southern biscuit should be. The service is impeccable, the food well-executed, and the ambiance unmatched. We stopped by for a dinner for two at The Olde Pink House, and all I can say is wow. From the moment we arrived, everything--from the service to the food to the atmosphere--was absolutely exceptional. This was truly one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. While it's certainly not an inexpensive restaurant, every bite was worth it. We shared the Rockefeller oysters to start, which were outstanding. For our entrées, my husband ordered the tenderloin with sweet potatoes and collard greens, and it was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. I chose the chef's special: grouper with mashed potatoes and a beautiful glaze. It originally came with green beans, but they kindly substituted collard greens for me--no hesitation at all--and they were delicious. We both ordered the Pink Lady cocktail, which was fantastic. We were lucky enough to snag a table for two without a reservation since it's currently the off-season in Savannah. Shortly after we were seated, there was already a wait, so we truly lucked out. We dined in the bar area, as the main dining room was reservation-only, but even that space was charming. Next time, we'll definitely make a reservation so we can enjoy one of the beautiful historic dining rooms. This restaurant is an absolute gem, and we will most certainly be back. read more

Coming in on a Friday night around 9 pm, I was able to be seated right away. They had me up at the 2nd floor, and in that floor, there's multiple rooms. The interior is much bigger than I originally thought! There were several items on the menu I was interested in, but ultimately settled on their southern sushi appetizer, fire chicken, and fried flounder. I heard that fried chicken was a really popular item on their menu so was definitely excited to try it! I would say the fried chicken can be messy especially if you eat with your hands. I like how it had both white meat and dark meat. However, my favorite item that I tried was their southern sushi! read more

We tried for weeks to get a reservation for this place with no luck. We decided to roll the dice and see if we could walk up and put our name on the waitlist. It was only about 20 minutes before they were calling us for a table in the bar. We were shocked! I'm not sure how often that happens, but don't let it sway you from trying to get in. They didn't have a lot of people waiting outside or lingering around, which was kind of nice. So it didn't feel like it was overcrowded. The atmosphere itself was very quiet and romantic, and the staff were very friendly. Our waiter in the bar area was very knowledgeable about the menu which was helpful. It was also a little bit more lively down there, which was nice (personal preference). The food itself was good, but not exactly what I was expecting for a place that was that hard to get into. Don't get me wrong, I would absolutely go again without hesitation. It was definitely worth the trip! read more
