Once again the food was amazing. This was my first time trying the lamb. I always/ofter have the chicken platter. This was my first time trying the spicy pepper dip. It had a nice kick to it! Size, taste and freshness is what we find at the olive branch. I really want to mention the little attention that Andreas gives his customer really makes you feel at home. We had originally tried The Olive Branch in Manotick during the first week it was open and they were good, but we didn't feel the need to come back. After hearing some recent reviews on a Manotick Facebook group, we decided to give them another shot almost a year later. We used the online ordering system and our order was ready on time for pick up. I ordered the Lamb Souvlaki Platter ($26.95) and added in the comment section that I wanted the meat to be done medium-rare. It came with two skewers. My wife ordered the Keftedes Platter ($22.95), which she heard from others was really good. Each platter came with Greek rice, medallion potatoes, Greek salad and tzatziki sauce. The rice was a little more plain than we would have hoped, but it improved once we squeezed the provided lemon over top of it ourselves. The medallion potatoes had yummy dry seasoning sprinkled on top. Next time we will ask for more of that dry seasoning in the comments in the online ordering system because it was delicious, but not spread very evenly. The Greek salad was fresh and tasty with a good amount of feta and the dressing was packed on the side. The tzatziki sauce was thick and creamy. We also ordered a Pita Bread ($2) to go with everything. Now let's talk about the meat! Wow! We were impressed with both the Lamb Souvlaki and the Keftedes (4 mini meat patties). All the flavours and spices used were perfect, plus the cook on the meat was very memorable. We kept raving about the meat throughout the meal, savouring every bite. We would easily go back again just for how good the meat was! We're also curious now about how they would handle seafood like their Calamari Platter. The food is slightly more expensive than Cozmo's on Greenbank, but the quantity is fair and the quality is excellent for the meat. read more

Authentic Greek cuisine. The lamb kabobs were so juicy and flavourful. Excellent potato wedges and dressing. The vibe also brings you back to a local Greek restaurant. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Will be coming back and recommending it to friends and family. read more

Good afternoon My Friend and I decided to visit Manotick today (Sunday, June 4th, 2023) and after checking out all the restaurants in Manotick, we decided on the olive Branch. We went in and sat at our table immediately and were brought menus. We weren't too hungry so we each ordered a chicken kabob with rice. Two people came in after us and ordered a full plate with a salad and they were served before we were. After waiting awhile I asked Andreas if he forgot to put our order in, we were told (after the fact) that it could take up to 20 minutes to cook, however we ordered before the other couple and they were served before us. Because we were getting hungry now, we just ate the rice and chicken. The chicken was dry and I was not told I would be charged extra for some tzatziki sauce. When I went to pay, he asked if everything was ok and I said no, the service was terrible and , of how we were treated and I didn't even state the fact the chicken was dry. He basically said you are entitled to your opinion and then went to his colleague working there and laughed it off. Unbelievable custom service, he did not care one bit. A very disgraceful attitude, We were looking so forward to eating some great Greek food and turned down all the other restaurants to eat at your establishment. This sweet restaurant is the best little secret in Manotick! Succulent lamb and pork, huge portions, best Greek salad, and the host, John, offers superb service! Take out or dine in and experience some of the best Greek food in the Ottawa Region! Well worth the drive, we plan to return soon! The Manotick Olive Branch takeout, just opened, offers Kalamari appetizer for $14.95 which it describes as "Dusted in seasoned flour and lightly fried. Served with tzatziki and lemon wedge." We opted for a larger serving by ordering the Kalamari Platter as our main course to go with our own salad. The Platter is also described as "Dusted in seasoned flour and lightly fried. Served with tzatziki and lemon wedge", however it was nothing like that: the platter was misleading as it was mainly rice, with potato wedges and a handful of calamari that was so rubbery it was inedible. Giving the Manotick Olive Branch a one star rating is more that it desserves! read more
