The food here is the BEST. I stop by at least once a week! The service is great, wine list is very good, and there is plenty of parking. The chicken parmigiana with angelhair is my personal favorite, but I also suggest trying the seafood, which would put most of those swanky downtown joints to shame. We were very impressed. After reading the yelp reviews we decided to give the place a try and we will be returning. The parking lot is not large and was full except for the space we luckily nabbed right by the door. There is however plenty of parking in the adjoining hotel parking lot and there was an obvious sign as we pulled in letting patrons know that that lot was available and permissible for parking. We were immediately seated around 5:30 pm on a Saturday evening although those coming in after us may have had to wait a little bit. They were busy but not crushed. The ambiance was very pleasant and while being busy, the restaurant was not overly loud even with a large party right next to us. Our waiter Johnny was about as close to perfect as a server gets. He was attentive without hovering and his timing for everything was perfect. The food was excellent and the portions were large enough that we brought plenty home. We both had seafood dishes and I can't wait to go back to try the steaks. The shrimp, scallops, and pasta were cooked perfectly and the alfredo sauce was wonderful. Our salad was crisp and fresh and we both loved the dressing although some may find the dressing a little on the salty side. The bread sticks were very good and came to the table piping hot. The bathrooms were clean which I always consider to be a good indicator of probable overall cleanliness. Olive Garden isn't even in the same category as The Olive Tree. read more

I always order the chicken chesapeake when I come here. It's usually delicious. This time however, the crab imperial was tasteless. What happened? It used to be so flavorful. The color was even different. My fiance had the cream of crab soup which was great Esp with the breadsticks, but his main course, fish tacos, were gross. (Don't ask me why he ordered fish tacos at an Italian resturant) it was basically fried fish sticks with a slice of avacado and some wilted slaw and an odd cream sauce. Service was good, sangria was yummy, and we love the salad and breadsticks. For $60 though, we left underwhelmed and won't be returning for a while. read more

Up front it has been a while since I have eaten here. Sadly the Tortalini ala Fini was not what I remembered. The tortalini use to be the smaller green orange and white one's and the sauce use to have more flavor. It did not taste like it had even been seasoned. The server was good but a little slow on the follow ups. I was disappointed and expressed it to our server who did apologize and did ask if I would like to order something else. But by this time I had lost my appetite and declined. My wife had a very good Crab cake and others seemed to be enjoying there meals. So I learned my lesson do not go in expecting your memories to be fulfilled. read more

This is supposed to be like Olive Garden; they've basically copied that brand and logo but gone solo with it. Not sure how that's legal, but the people who own it have more than one and have been in business for years, so they must be legit. That said, Olive Tree is not as good as a typical Olive Garden. Food quality is spotty: breadsticks are good. At a recent lunch (December) salad was mediocre, and alfredo was overcooked. I was disappointed in the overall cleanliness (or lack thereof; the table was downright greasy) and the server's inattention. Just wasn't a great experience. read more

Passing trough Aberdeen and staying at Courtyard for a night, The Olive Tree seemed like a good choice. The layout of the restaurant seems odd, with best sitting area around the bar. Visiting the bathrooms is a must! odd black colors for the vanities...We've had two of their "new" items on the menu, both seafood related...Salad was not fresh and had a gooey mix. Food was served extremely hot, overloaded on "house made pasta"... pretty much tasteless...everyone walked out with a "to go" box, probably feeling bad to throw away so much food(I mean pasta). The ingredients seemed cheap, best part was probably the bread. I am not a big fan of Applebees, but since is located right across is a much safer choice. read more

My favorite restaurant around town. Seafood is always very fresh. The portions are large and fulfilling. My favorites are the complimentary salad and breadsticks (ask for a side of Marinara they are amazing); the crabcakes are filled with lump crab meat- large- tasty; and one of my favorite chicken parms! The sangria and orange crushes are always delicious and on point. Service is always great and the ambience is so chill and relaxing. Feels like home every time I enter. read more

This place has good Italian food for a reasonable price. The only reason I wouldn't rate it higher is because the pizza tastes like it is made from a pizza kit you would find at the grocery store and there is almost nothing on the menu for people trying to avoid consuming 1,500+ calories in one meal. read more

Have not been in awhile but everytime I have went my food has always been good, we always have leftovers to take home also for lunch the next day. We love the breadsticks and the salad is also not to bad, plus you get as much as you want of those. Also the service has always been nice and polite, never an issue with that either. We went on a Tuesday night with a large group, and they were very accommodating. Drinks, bread, salad came out promptly. Unlike other reviews said, the salad was fresh and not over-dressed. Our server was on it, and was not rattled by the size of our party -- and we needed separate checks on top of it. I ordered the shrimp with pasta, spicy, and it was terrific. Everyone else enjoyed their meals, too -- everything came out at the same time and the presentation was great. Cashing out was error-free with all the separate checks and credit cards. That kind of service looks easy, but it's really hard to do. Would go back any time. read more

I had the WORST experience at the Olive Tree! We had a large group (32 in all) for a 7:30 reservation. The restaurant was clearly understaffed, despite knowing we were coming. I was ok with that. It happens. We ordered drinks, and our waiter, Scott, was slow, but again, not his fault that they were overwhelmed. Our drinks arrived 15 minutes later and we ordered. I ordered gnocchi primavera with a pesto sauce instead of the cream sauce, discussing with Scott that my favorite meal is gnocchi with basil pesto. He said it shouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, it was. I ended up with gnocchi, red cream sauce, no shrimp. When I asked Scott about it, he replied "you were supposed to get shrimp too?" It's on the menu. I didn't send it back. He did not offer to take it back. Just apologized that I did not get what I wanted. Scott said he felt bad and, when our bill came, he noted that my meal and several cocktails were not on it. We paid the bill, and then, as we were leaving, we were told that there had been a mistake. We got a new bill, which included my meal and all of our drinks again. I asked to speak with the manager because I wasn't sure why this was happening. Dwayne, the manager, was extremely rude about the entire situation. I was not looking for a free meal. I had even been willing to eat the meal that I was given, that I didn't order. To be treated so poorly after the fact just added insult to injury. All I wanted was an explanation of what happened - why a meal and drinks had been comped and then not comped, after the bill was already paid. It's unfortunate that the food was good, but the service was so awful. For that reason, I would never recommend this location to anyone I know. I hope that the restaurant can read this review and retrain its staff. Waiters and waitresses should know the menu and the managers (at least Dwayne) could use some customer service training. read more

my new favorite Italian place! A co-worker highly recommended the Olive Tree when we moved to the area and started looking for great places to have a delicious meal. We were highly impressed with how versatile the menu is (easily twice as much to offer as Olive Garden or Carrabbas). I liked the salad better here.. it has chunks of cucumber and the dressing is much more flavorful! The breadsticks here have some special seasoning on them and they aren't drowned in butter and overly salty. We started with an appetizer, the bang bang shrimp, which had a spicy, delicious sauce on it, and with a spicy surprise: the calamari had a few fried pepperoncini rings mixed in there too! Such a nice surprise. Our entrees were also completely fabulous. The Olive Tree offers more options of protein, plus thicker, richer, more delicious sauces. The wait staff was extremely prompt, friendly and pleasant. Our food arrived super quickly. Of course, my major test of a restaurant is how clean the restroom is. The restroom here is beautiful, trendy, and CLEAN! Easily the cleanest bathroom I've ever seen! We left the restaurant completely full, completely happy, and with a goody bag full of leftovers! Doesnt get any better than that! We will DEFINITELY be returning SOON! Next time we don't know where to go or have company visiting, we will definitely be bringing ourselves to the Olive Tree! read more

We usually go here over the years for big events but haven't been on that side of the county in awhile so we decided to go last Saturday around noon. The place was empty, with only one other couple in the dining area. They removed all booths in our section so we had to sit at a table with chairs, which were a little uncomfortable. For an Italian place, the mood was eerie bc of the Jazz playing in the background. We ordered the crab pretzel (one of our favs) but was surprised at the small portion of crab this time around. Before I could never see the pretzel bc there would be so much crab around it. This time it was all pretzel and a small one at that. I understand it was lunch time but it's the same price as dinner $12? My sons friend ordered burger and fries and the fries were cold, breadsticks were dry. I had about 4 shrimp in my shrimp Milano and I only took 4 bites of that before it turned cold. The only thing that saved my lunch was our waiter. He was amazing and I even felt bad for him and gave a huge tip. He was there before I ever needed to ask for anything. For the price, I will do what most of the locals are doing and make my way towards White Marsh or the city for a good Italian meal. read more

If you are planning to have a large party for dinner, STAY FAR AWAY from The Olive Tree in Aberdeen. Short story on my visit: they are not accommodating at all, the manager Dwayne needs a serious attitude adjustment, he is downright rude and could use a lesson in customer service, and the managers all together need to communicate things to each other if they promise a customer something. I would also like to note that I emailed the email address listed on their website olivetreeitalianrestaurant@gmail.com - on Tuesday 1/24 and by Sunday 1/29 I still hadn't heard anything back. I have been to Olive Tree many times over the years and the food is always great, and usually the service is as well. Not the case this time. We were getting a few families and close friends together for dinner. When I called to make my reservation my headcount was still not final and it was three days from the reservation date. I called to make a reservation for 15-20 people on Tuesday January 31st at 7:00 pm. I was put on hold so the hostess could "get approval from a manager" - once the manager picked up the phone I had to repeat all of the information to her that I had already relayed to the hostess. Once she had the information she needed I was met with "we need a final headcount." She said that I needed to call in the next day or they will call me due to the fact that 20 or more people the business requires you to sign a contract and provide a $100.00 deposit. I thought this was particularly strange for a reservation on a Tuesday night, I could understand a Friday, Saturday or even Sunday. The manager then continued to tell me with a larger party like this we would have multiple tables side by side, back to back etc. Obviously my reasoning for making the reservation ahead of time was to get a large table TOGETHER. When I asked her about a large table together she said if I had closer to the 15 people she could work that out for me, if I had closer to the 20 people we would need multiple tables which was understandable and reasonable in my eyes. The next day I called and speaking to the hostess reminded her of our reservation and told her I had a final headcount of 18. I was placed on hold again to "get approval from the manager." The manager picks up the phone again (without giving me a name) and says no problem we will get you taken care of. I asked about having one large table for the party and she said "We can push together two nine-top tables." At this point I thought great, they have it all worked out for us. The day of the reservation came, I arrived at 6:30 pm to make sure the table was ready once everyone else arrived, I told the hostess "I know I'm early - whenever you have it ready is fine." The manager on duty Dwayne asked me if it will still be a party of 18 without even looking up from his computer screen or acknowledging me in any way. I told him it would actually be 14 now (I had a few people bail last minute.) Dwayne then told me "We will seat you once half of you are here." This felt a little untrusting to me, as if he didn't believe I really had a large party coming. Either way the few of us there headed to the bar to grab drinks. We were then seated in the back of the room which is usually ideal for a large party - but upon seating I noticed this was a table set for 10. When I questioned it Dwayne said the table for ten and a back to back table of 6 was for us as well. When I told him a manager told me we could have a table all together he said "which one?" I advised him she didn't give me a name but it was a female. He dismissed me very quickly with that. I asked if there is any way we can have a table all put together he said "we don't do that for large parties." (Which unless this is a new rule I know to be false I've been there with a larger party than that before.) Meanwhile there were at least 5 six-top tables in the same area unseated that easily could have been put together for a large party. These tables remained empty the entire time we were there. My entire interaction from the time I walked in the door with Dwayne he came off very entitled, ill-mannered, unprofessional, and unhelpful. He made me feel like he was doing me a favor, while my table was EASILY spending $300+ that night in his establishment. Once we sat everyone and made due with the seating, the night did get better. Tony was our waiter, he was great! Very personable, friendly and helpful. He took very good care of us and made sure we had everything we needed - no complaints there. The food was as usual, wonderful. The breadsticks were hot, the salad was good and we were given extra salad dressing as we asked for. Our meals were great as well. I really hope the managers get things together, and I truly hope Dwayne fixes his poor attitude. He has already made my decision I will never bring a large party there again. This is a great restaurant with great food, the staff just needs some work. read more

This the worst place to eat. My 3rd let down. I know shame on me. My last and final let down was today 01-1-19. Happy new year. The manger on duty was incompetent. She doesn't know her elbow from her knee. Rather call my wife and I lairs and other names. How professional. Ordered a chicken Alfredo and they screwed that up. It was a carry out order and I should have checked the bag before I left. I just didn't realize how bad they are. I mean last time I found metal from a cleaning pad in my soup. The manger on duty this evening is an embarrassment to the restaurant business. Doesn't know customer service nor how to manage herself on a daily basis. Surprised she's knows how to breathe. Refused to believe us and wanted me to drive 30 minutes back to restaurant to show proof of how she is even more incompetent. This is in Aberdeen. I live in North East. She insists that my wife and I are liars. The rest of the carry out was correct. Why would I lie about this? She would rather tell us to piss off and contact a real manager tomorrow at 4 pm when he comes in. Don't or Dwain. Not sure. Her English was poor as we're her words to my wife and I. read more

Oh my god there fish tacos are absolutely perfect from the chipotle mayonnaise to the fish absolutely extraordinary 10/10

We have not been here for a little bit, so some things might have changed. To pretense - it is a better version of Olive Garden, but still is Americanized Italian. We have noticed a little decrease in the quality of food over the past couple of years, but we are big fans of the blacken chicken alfredo and the crab cakes venetian. Service is hit or miss. Portion sizes are generous, and the salad and breadsticks are usually pretty good. Close to home, so it is convenient, but if we want some better quality Italian we would go to Chiapparelli's in Havre de Grace. read more

Today 3-11-17 at 12:20pm me and my son went into this Olive Tree for lunch. This is my fourth time at this location this year. The first 3 times I was with my fiancé and they sat us, in a not busy restaurant, in the back by the service doors alone. All of the other patrons that were white in color were in booths and in the front of the restaurant. I complained and they eventually sat us somewhere different with the rest of the customers. Now to today, me and my son walk in and the don't ask if we want a table or booth they just say, two and then proceed to sit us in the back by the washroom food doors at a table that would swing open every time someone walked pass. Mind you some other people not of my persuasion was seated comfortably in a booth in the front. I guess there is still segregation in this restaurant and we have to sit in the back. I complained to the manager and she tried to explain to me their seating arrangements and in the process of that four white men walked in and the hostess asked if they wanted a table or booth and sat them in the front. I turned to the manager and said wow, say no more. My point was made right in front of her. I guess Olive Tree doesn't realize this is 2017 and slavery and discrimination ended. Maybe just not here. Respectfully from a black educated man who holds a Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree and serves our citizens everyday while putting my life on the line in the process. read more

The Olive Tree is no doubt better AND unrelated to Olive Branch and Olive Garden. The bread is fresher, the salads are WAY better and the food is superb. My Mother and I go to Olive Tree in Aberdeen for every special occasion. Their chicken parmigiana is excellent-very large and very filling. I wish they would give more spaghetti :p The spinach ravioli is amazing and so is the chicken chesapeake. Alright-to be honest everything's good. The atmosphere is really nice and at times peaceful. Usually don't have to make reservations unless it's a holiday. So delicious, I wish I was there right now. read more
