This is my favorite pizza place in a 15 mile radius from my home. They have fresh, hand-tossed pizza crusts (which you really can't find in the big chain pizza places); their ingredients are all fresh; they make everything to order (try to get garlic salt on your pizza elsewhere). Every time I've got my ham and banana pepper pizza with garlic salt, it's been a pizza to die for. I've been eating here since 2008, and I'll keep coming back so long as they keep making great pizzas! read more

We picked this place because a fellow Yelper posted pics of skateboard decks, food and atmosphere that all looked awesome. When I pulled up to the lot, there was ample parking as no one was there at 2pm on a Monday. Disappointment set in when we entered as there was no clear expectations as to seating... seat yourself, don't, order at the counter, nothing. One employee was leaned over on his phone at the end of the counter. He grunted about the menu being online. We sat ourselves and saw one other family with an infant enjoying their lunch. A second employee appeared from the back, she was very friendly and smiled at the family and their infant. We placed our order, and here's where the 4 stars come in.... - hand tossed pizza crust (good start, I've been searching for a joint like this - further menu exploration identified some eye popping options, and I can't wait to try more - more customers popped in, seemed like regulars who were excited to get their orders - table service and friendly (same dude from the counter) - good pizza/grill food. One of the best pizzas I've found in harford county. There is room for improvement here -- (bathrooms need attention) -- but all in all, what a cool little shop with darn good pizza, suns, sandwiches and other very intriguing items! read more

We ordered 4 cheesesteaks. 3 chicken cheesesteaks and 1 regular. When we got home, opened them and saw that the rolls were toasted and edges burnt on all cheesesteaks. The rolls are very dry. Cheese is laid on the bottom of the roll and it's a minimal amount of cheese. The steak is then placed on top of the cheese and not mixed into the steak. This was disappointing as the steak was on the dry side to begin with and so could barely taste the cheese. We ordered fried onions on 2 of the cheesesteaks and the onions were semi-raw with a bit of a crunch. I put ketchup on the cheesesteak to moisten it some. The cheesesteaks are expensive and if you want provolone (instead of American cheese) you pay $1.50 extra. The fried onions (which were barely fried) cost another $1.50. Overall the cheesesteaks were a real disappointment... $62 total to realize we should have just gone to Wawa for 1/2 the price. We won't frequent this establishment again. read more

So .... What have I done to piss you off? Ordered at 8:07 tonight and the person who answered the phone said "that's not what you ordered" when I asked to verify what I was getting. They changed the order and said it would be more than an hour - okay. At 9:23 I called to check on the order and got the same person, who still sounds pissed if at me and said "Your order is out for delivery ". Got my food at 10. If I would have gotten a person who wasn't so crappy to talk to all would have been fine because the food is good. read more

Normally the food is pretty good BUT Today I ordered a cheesesteak and fries and let me tell you. The sub was extremely soggy. The meat wasn't drained right it tasted like nothing but grease. The lettuce was old and slimy. The Tomatoes were yellow and basically was just the outside of it. The fries were old hard and soggy also very cold. Delivery over an hour. They said 45 minutes-1 hour. So not a big deal there. but they really need to check the food before sending it. read more

Decided to try Frank's Pizza as I had heard from locals this was one of the better pizza shops. They did not disappoint. Crust was amazing. Pizza had a nice balance of toppings and sauce that allowed for crust to be flaky yet flavorful. This aspect is the point that separates Frank's from other places in my opinion as often time other pizza shop pies taste like the came out of a package. Pizza is hand tossed and cooked in a traditional pizza oven which is the way pizza should be made if not in a brick or wood fire oven. My advice, skip the chain restaurants and their conveyor ovens. Treat yourself to more tradition experience and give Frank's a visit. read more

So I am a New Yorker and I am very serious about my pizza....with that being said Frank's is the spot. My wife and I came in today and tried them out and had the Hawaiian volcano pizza and bbq wings. The pizza: HOLY FUCKING BALLS MAN IS IT GOOD!!!!! The pizza was a medium that they made to order with speed. The crust was Jersey style which is very similar to New York style. Crispy thin and not doughy. The cheese was just the best and that Spicey marinara gave me life. Pineapples were sweet with the ham and the hidden jem of bacon on the pizza was amazing. The wings: Ok the fact that the outside was crunchy and drizzled with bbq sauce rather than drowned in it was so good. The inside of the wings moist and hot,Flavor on everybite. The staff: The owner made my pizza and thus man knows his pizza. Answered questions I had and was very nice. Even gave me a sticker for my car. When I ordered at the counter the owners wife took our order and was so nice and helped us pick a good meal. The restaurant: as you walk in you notice this is not your typical pizza parlor. Along the walls they have boards lining with all different types of designs. They have posters of they have a large Leonardo Ninja Turtle there there's different types of stickers posted everywhere. The restaurant is bright well-lit bathrooms are nice and clean the whole place just look like it was brand new. The restaurant itself has a very welcoming atmosphere. Hands down this was an excellent pizza experience. I recommend you go to Frank's Pizza and Grill and Gorge as much as you possibly can. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. My fam and I have patronized this place several times over the years at we've lived in HdG. However, recently we ordered food and we saw that it was being prepared without the use of a face mask and gloves. Normally I'm not overly cautious about someone using proper PPE when preparing my hot food. However, we are still in the midst of a global pandemic!! For the protection my elderly parents who would've consumed the food it would be good if they took precautions to protect their customer's. When my husband pointed out that PPE is still required right now. They proceeded to verbally assault him and call the police to have us banned from their eatery, as though we would've ever wanted to come back. I hope anyone that is in the high risk category for mortality from the coronavirus takes this into consideration when buying food from this company. read more

This is a pizza carryout or sit down style restaurant. It's not really a place that has to serve you anything except the pizza if that's what you are looking for. Drinks are fountain style and you get them yourself. I think most people do the carryout option at this place and we had the place to ourselves. The pizza was great fresh, but a little dry as leftovers. We would definitely like to try this place again. And as one person mentioned, don't let the outside scare you off. It looks a little run down but the inside is fixed up and is really nice. The pizza can range from cheap to a little more pricey but they don't skimp on the toppings. We had chicken on ours and they heaped the grilled chicken breast on for sure! read more

We accidentally ordered, but didn't find out until my wife went to pickup at Frank's in Aberdeen. I hate the idea of standing up a small business owner, so we did the right thing and drove to HdG. Good call! This was good pizza, with good dough, sauce, and Grande cheese. Our second visit was for dining in. The outside is far from a showpiece, but don't let that stop you. The inside is fixed up, and features lots of local art and accents. We agreed that the pizza was better eaten in-house. Frank's in HdG is my current go-to pizza place, and will probably continue to be for a while. read more

We recently moved from New Mexico to Maryland and thought the pizza would improve but NOPE. We had both a white veggie and a mushroom pizza, and neither were good - tasteless and dry. I don't do reviews often. I have to be extremely impressed or extremely unimpressed. I think it'll be easy to guess which end of the spectrum I'm on. We waited 40 minutes for this pizza. 20 minutes before getting to the shop and another 20 upon arrival as they had given our pizza to some random person apparently. And there's nothing more disappointing than waiting 40 minutes for food only for it to be barely edible. I hate soggy doughy undercooked pizza. This pizza had absolutely no flavor. The sauce was bitter and under-seasoned. I'm not sure if it was because they had to rush to remake it, but I couldn't be more underwhelmed. We got cheese and meat lovers. All of the toppings slid right off the dough trying to pick the pizza slices up. The cheese pizza tasted like cardboard, flour, and processed cheese. And the icing on the cake is that the two pizzas were $30. Top dollar. Wouldn't recommend. Only giving two starts because the meat on the meat lovers was pretty good. read more

I have not been this disappointed by service in a long time! I ordered a pepperzoni and a soda for delivery. I live 10 minutes from the store. I was told that my order would arrive within 35-40 minutes. I placed my order at 7:15, at 8:15 I called to see where my food was. I was promised that the driver was on route and wad encouraged to call back in 5 minutes if I did not receive my food. I called back at 8:30 to inform Franks that I still had not received my order. The person on the phone apologized and after I asked, agreed to refund my meal. He struggled with the refund and told me that he would call me back in five minutes to confirm the refund to my credit card. Again I waited and received no confirmation call back! The employees obviously don't care that they lost a loyal customer. Next time I'll order from Nonnies. They are just as good and at least with them, I will actually get my order! read more
