The woman on the phone's English wasn't great but from what I understood she asked me if I could make it before they close at 9:30. I said I could and at 9:00 the woman started calling me asking where I was. I had parked a block away and said I was walking over to Ashland. She called me a liar because there was "tons of parking" on Ashland and I tried to explain that I didn't park on Ashland because it was a snow route (there was snow on the ground) but she didn't understand me. She just kept saying "I DON'T SEE YOU! You're not here!" before hanging up. There were a few cars on the street, but I was in an hourly zipcar rental and it would've been costly if I got towed. Plus, as you can see in the screenshot, I had time. I saw her lock up and leave as I was crossing the street at the corner. I kept calling and she texted me. "Sorry too late." Which makes zero sense because I wasn't late and she said was willing to take me for a 30 minute or 60 minute massage. If I were late, why not just say that she could only take a 30 minute massage? The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and it sucks for them because I would've loved to find a late night massage place as I'm often up late.

And that's totally okay! The women here are very friendly and attentive, and more importantly they get the job done. It was a very relaxing and thorough experience. They also do plenty of walk-ins and are very accommodating time-wise. The not-so-good: As someone else mentioned, they don't ask for target areas. Also, the choppy English can get in the way sometimes, it's hard to take directions when the directions aren't clear. Cash only is a hinderance. Also, my treatment ended probably 5 mins or so early.

The space itself is just a small unassuming room - but it's very cute and cozily decorated. Before each session, she will give you a change of clothes (Thai massage is done over the clothes), and she is always sure to ask about which areas I'd like to focus on. My answer every time is 'My computer neck '. The massage itself is definitely tailored to each individual customer. She doesn't go through the same routine, and makes sure to extra time massage and manipulate every part of my problem areas. If you've never had a Thai massage, I'd say it's a combination of stretching and targeted massage. At times, it's so relaxing that I fall asleep - but other times, it's painful in a good way like a deep tissue massage!
