Next they massage your feet and calves, then you flip onto your stomach and they end with a deep back, neck, and shoulder massage. You are fully clothed the entire time, so I would wear shorts and a loose fitting top. There is a small basket by your massage bed that you can put your belongings in. After your massage you can tip in cash.

The room was softly lit with low, soothing music. My masseuse put a finger to his lips indicating that it was a quiet area. He indicated that I was to lie down on the pallet. He then placed a towel loosely over my eyes and covered me with a blanket and began the massage. He worked on each foot for about 15 minutes and then I was done. Few words were spoken but we communicated with gestures as needed. I thanked him and gave him a $5 tip. He gave me a post massage bottle of water when we got to the waiting room. I put on my shoes and was out the door; feeling great. I'm giving all this description to highlight how easy and hassle free the whole process turned out to be. Since I was already sending the payment electronically, I asked if I could include the tip at the same time before my service, and they initially said yes. Then they changed their minds and insisted that I send another Zelle after the massage for the tip. I explained that if I was already sending one payment that included the tip, I wasn't going to send a second Zelle afterward. I included a $15 tip, but instead of appreciating it, I was told they have "recommended" tip amounts and that they were already giving me a discount. Let's be clear: purchasing a Groupon is not the business giving me a personal discount--it's a promotion they choose to participate in to attract customers. If they have an issue honoring Groupon pricing, then they shouldn't advertise on Groupon. A tip is a courtesy based on the service provided, not something customers should be pressured or forced to pay at a certain amount before the service has even been performed. Because I wouldn't agree to tip what they wanted, they became upset and refused to provide the service, despite the fact that I had called ahead, confirmed everything in advance, and arrived on time for my appointment. I've never experienced such unprofessional customer service. Turning away a paying customer over a tip is unacceptable. I will never return, and I would not recommend this business to anyone.

We had to take our shoes off at the front and then they escorted us back into the room. We had both a male and a female masseuse and we were able to talk and laugh while we got our massages. We were led to the room we would both have our bath and receive the massages. You can change into your swimsuit in this room as well. The bath water was a light blue color with slices of lemon floating in the water. We were offered tea or champagne to go with the fruits we could nibble on during our bath. After letting us soak for a bit, we received our facial and scalp massage in the bath which felt so luxurious. The technicians were very professional and checked in on us to make sure we were still good with water temperature. After that, we got a sugar scrub. My friend went to shower first and I was wrapped up in the plastic protecting the massage table and I thought this must be what a hard candy feels like. My skin felt so so so soft after the shower. The massage that followed for the next hour was excellent. The usage of the hot stones felt amazing and I only wished they could stay on longer! I actually had a healing ankle that was still giving me trouble and it felt so much better after the massage. Unfortunately, when I called to make an appointment I learned that Rondeann has not worked for Salon Moka for a few years now, which explains why no one has written a review for her since 2008. The stylist who answered the phone, Kelly, assured me that she'd be able to get my unruly curls straight. She even offered to come in the very next day, which just happened to be her day off. Seriously, so sweet! While Kelly was washing my hair I mentioned I was planning to use a YouSwoop. Kelly informed me that I had to use the entire $110 at once so it didn't really make sense to use it on a $40 blowout. I did see a note on the certificate that you can't combine YouSwoops, but I figured that meant I couldn't use multiple certificates (not use 1 certificate a few different times). Regardless I decided to save the YouSwoop for another time when I could come back for a blowout and a much needed prenatal massage. Kelly was true to her word and had no problem getting my hair straight. She was also very fun to chat with and the 45 minutes I spent in her chair flew by. Salon Moka isn't the fanciest of salons, but nice. And it was super easy to find a parking spot right outside on this Tuesday afternoon. I plan on going back with my YouSwoop very soon for another blowout and a massage. Can't wait!!
