One of a kind. I attended Dan Tana's 50th anniversary party, and it was one of the best private parties I've ever been to in Los Angeles. What was once a big cement parking lot behind Dan Tana's was transformed to look exactly like the decor inside the restaurant - with red carpeting, green ivy lined walls, checkered red tablecloths, and brick accent. The heart of an authentic Italian restaurant - classy, traditional, and elegant - was totally brought to life. I felt like I was in a movie! One Up's presence on the stage was charismatic and inviting. He was charming and fun while very tastefully honoring the sentiment and history of Dan Tana's . The guests went from joy and laughter as we celebrated the restaurant's timelessness with upbeat music and memories, to tears of happiness as we reminisced of the history and pride of the owners with special musical performances and touching speeches. It felt like there was always another surprise around the corner. The dance floor was hopping, the drinks were flowing, the buffet was amazing, and the photo booth was so fun that we went in multiple times. I had the pleasure of working with One Up Entertainment and was truly amazed at their level of work. I have over 3 decades of experience working as a musician and business owner, managing bands and musicians in the events industry, and I can honestly say that these guys one up the competition. When Eyal contacted me for an event, he was very detail oriented, had a strong grasp of the client's needs and knew exactly how to execute logistically. Their equipment is top notch, which makes a world of a difference. Their technicians were very accommodating during setup and sound check and most importantly were super friendly. Eyal was amazing to work with! He took care of all the lighting and entertainment for our wedding and we had multiple guests say it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to. WOW!!! OneUp Entertainment, and particularly Eyal, were PHENOMENAL! I cannot stress the importance of picking a great DJ/MC for your wedding. Having been to a few weddings (while they are all beautiful in their own regard), the DJ/MC is the crux of the event. The DJ/MC is responsible for getting/corralling the crowd into different levels of excitement and energy throughout the event. The DJ/MC sets the mood and tempo for the event and when you have a good DJ/MC you know it. Not only do you know it, your guests know it. This might be a long review, but every point I make was a crucial aspect that I was looking for in our DJ and Eyal and his crew deserve all the recognition for making our event as spectacular as possible. I contacted Eyal after seeing all his reviews on various sites and had a fairly lengthy conversation on the phone prior to selecting his company to be the DJ/MC for our event. He did what all good business people do and he listened first regarding all the aspects of a DJ we were looking for and then afterwards he made small but crucial suggestions. After selecting him we carved out some time to meet (my wife and I were across the country but he was very accommodating regarding scheduling a time/place to meet while we were in LA). Again, he helped organize the timeline of our day and made critical suggestions to ensure the appropriate energy level/excitement for each moment of the wedding reception. He answered every call and email within 24hrs and even answered a call while he was in Israel! On the day of the reception, he had the entire crowd excited, amped, and with a level of energy unexpected for even our 70+ year old guests! He played the perfect music for every part of the reception and level of enjoyment from the guests was unprecedented. They also provide a separate DJ along with an MC, ensuring success!
