Made quite the trip to this eatery as our first venture out, they were closed for summer vacation (they close first week of july so call if it's the summer) The place is small, cute and quaint and no visible bar in sight, but they have a full bar! The hostess was an absolute doll and the waitress was attentive form the get-go. They bring you out fabulous bread with your choice of butter, oil or bean dip--the oil is lacking so settle on the butter and bean dip. The oil is way too light and does no justice to the fabulous homemade bread. We ordered the lasagna poppers to start and for entrees had the lasagna bolognese and the baked lobster penne. The poppers were very good and held up nicely together. the table next to us ordered the rice balls and they seemed big, yummy and didn't last long at all. Our entrees came with a nice fresh crisp salad--they even make all of their dressings. Their lemon vinaigrette was excellent and had some good flavor to it without having any tones of citrus to it. The entrees came fresh to order--lasagna was tasty and nice sized and the sauce was simmered t perfection. You picked up the ricotta, the spices and the cheeses along with the meat flavor--perfect blend in every way. Th baked lobster penne had generous chunks of lobster meat with peas and shallots in a vodka sauce....was delicious and pasta was cooked to point but in my opinion, it could have used a little more sauce. We ordered a chicken farm to go and that came with penne and marinara....evidently that was devoured by the teenager at home who said it was excellent. Will come here again. Food was good, fresh and service was attentive. This place is small so be prepared to wait. We went on a Wednesday and by 5:30 pm, every table was taken...clearly I know why! My husband and I absolutely adore Antonio's. Mina, her family, and the entire staff are truly lovely people and the food here is always amazing. We used to live down the road and would walk over to pick up our order quite frequently. It is our favorite local place to eat. Now that we live a bit of a drive away we still do our best to make it out to Antonio's when we can. Their restaurant is very small, but they have done an amazing job of making the interior feel warm and inviting. Their new porch for outdoor dining is perfect for a nice day. Everything on the menu here is good, but my top two favorites are the chicken marsala and the lobster baked penne. Every time we have brought our friends or family to eat here they have had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend The Original Antonio's in Beacon Falls. What an unexpected find! Both the lasagna poppers and the antipasto were delicious. The bread is addicting. Clams Casino Royal pizza was uniquely wonderful. This place is amazing! My dad is getting a house up here soon so we were in the area and decided to stop in after hearing so many good things from my uncle. I don't know why, but I always find it really difficult to find Italian food I love and this place really hits the spot! The inside is friendly and inviting as is the staff and the owner. Prices are fantastic and you can tell everything is really fresh. I had the best pasta of my life here last week. It was a pasta special that contained amazing meat sauce, mushrooms, large shrimp, and extremely tasty goat cheese! Best goat cheese I have ever had! They also serve fresh bread nice and hot! I love how they give you the choice between olive oil, butter, or hummus its great! They also gave me a free soda refill which is always a plus. It feels like Sunday at Nonni's kitchen table--very southern Italian flavor. Started with their homemade bread dunked in their homemade sauce (I think the old folks used to call this "pan oonj" (phonetic spelling.) Then had their lasagna. Crazy reasonable prices, very friendly and helpful staff. Very tiny place--wheelchair accessible with a little help from the owner. He knew the technique for maneuvering into the slightly tight entrance. You could tell he'd done that before. Checked tablecloths, of course. Did not have a good experience here. Very small inside. Not many tables. Noisy. The phone that they use to take takeout orders is right near the tables so you constantly are hearing that in the background. The bread was kind of stale. The salads weren't very fresh. Wouldn't go back. read more

Excellent Italian food with menu choices at any value point. We showed up on a Wednesday evening for a special dinner with a friend. They were very busy but worked to accommodate us. I recommend reservations as the restaurant has a very nice but small dining area. My wife had the lobster with penne pasta and ricotta and she said it was delicious. I had house made gnocchi, our friend had chicken parmigiana and my son had pizza. All delicious! My son had almond cake for desert and it was wonderful. Plus the staff and service were fabulous! Fantastic food with great service. My Wife & I, and sometimes with friends, drive 45 minutes to eat at The Original Antonio's. We usually order a meal each to eat there, and another each to take home. Last time my wife ate the Shrimp Parmigiana and I ate the Pollo Scarpariello. Both were very delicious, and the salads were fresh and delicious as well. We each only ate half as the servings are generous. The fresh baked bread was great too! Fantastic food with great service. This is one of my absolute favorite places to go. It's so small that you can't help but feel like family. Mina is always there and gets to know you by first name after a while. Their homemade bread is simply incredible and their sweet Italian marinara sauce could be perfect to drink out of a glass. Great food, great portions and very fair prices. My husband and I took a chance and just popped in without a reservation last night. We ordered the chicken parmigiana over gnocchi. It was the best meal we have eaten out in a very long time. The gnocchi were homemade, light and amazing. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the breaded crust was also crispy and delicious. The bread is homemade and has doughy center and hard, crispy crust. We had to control ourselves and not order a second basket so we could eat our meal. We highly recommend you visit this hidden gem. Stopped by for lunch due the great reviews and have to say we weren't disappointed. Loved the place. Employees all had on masks and we were seated in a corner with room in between guests. Started off with a huge portion of mozzarella frittas. There were three pieces and at first we did not think we could finish it all but it was so delicious we eventually did. Wife said her chicken parm was delicious also...was really impressed by the tenderness and taste of the chicken. I had a lunch portion of spaghetti and meatballs and that was also delicious...they make a great meatball and sauce. Will be back soon. read more

BEST quality FOOD and our favorite place to eat. Coming from an Italian family, our standards are pretty high and this place does not disappoint. Everything is fresh and tastes homemade. I could eat their fresh bread for days. Service is always stellar for eat in or take out and the food has always been consistent and amazing. We ordered take out this evening (only our 2nd time here). Food was a bit delayed but all staff was extremely courteous, attentive & honest. In appreciation for our patience and understanding we were given a bottle of wine to enjoy with our dinner. We arrived home only to realize that our salad was missing in our bag. I called just to bring it to their attention and told them we could just make do for today but they insisted on delivering it to us immediately! They had it delivered to our door within minutes (a town away!). We will continue to bring our business here due to this outstanding showing of transparency and customer service. Great job! This was our third time there for dinner. The food has been fantastic each time. The service is attentive, but not intrusive. They serve warm crusty Italian bread with choice of olive oil, butter and home made humus. All entrees come with a spring mix salad, try the creamy balsamic. Had the lobster baked penne tonight. Out of this world, with plenty to bring home. Only disappointment tonight was the lobster chowder, it was a "lobster blend" with that imitation crab/lobster meat in it. Which We only found out about because we asked as we had someone in our party that's very allergic the imitation stuff. They did the right thing though and took the charge for it off our bill and served a different yummy soup in it's place, no charge.Keep in mind this is a small family owned place. If you're uncomfortable with a cozy tight fit next to other diners you might choose to try take out from here. read more

The food is good! But I have to say I am always on hold and multiple times the order is messed up. Placing an order is painful! Can't hear me or understand what I am saying. Have to repeat multiple times and they just dont get it right. Yes they will replace when the order is wrong, but who wants to go through that?!
