Absolutely useless. Called for delivery. They told me I can only do it online. I ordered it was gonna take about an hour for one pizza so I canceled the order and they only refunded me five dollars and change the order was not made yet that is ridiculous. I'll never order from them again whether in person online over the phone. I wanted to try their pizza I never will. DoorDash is just as bad. read more

Been going to Marios for so many years that they put John's pizza out of business they were so good. Haven't been in about a year so decided to stop in for a pizza and was sorely disappointed. Family owned and operated Connecticut business, Mario's Pizzeria is a must try. Their pizza is delicious along with their garlic knots - you cannot get one without getting the other, trust me. Their prices are affordable and all of their product is made fresh upon order. You really cannot go wrong with anything on their menu. The service is great and you could tell it is a family run business. Everyone there is very kind, greets you with a smile, and holds small talk while handing over your meal. Terrible. The gyro meat was dry as the Sahara desert! They have a $5.99 cheese pizza special during the week, but you can't even up-charge for extra toppings, it's full price plus toppings if you want 1/2 pepperoni. What is up with that? The pizza sauce is sweet and it's the pie was just greasy!!! Instant heartburn. Never again. I paid $60 for a large cheese 1/2 pepperoni, and 3 gyros. Not worth it if it's that nasty. read more

I'm sad to report that this place doesn't taste that good after trying several times. I've given ample chances at going back but none any better than the first time which was also dismal . It's bare bones basic so so pizza. The meatball parm isn't that good either. The service upon picking up is always pleasant and upbeat but it ends there. The food unfortunately doesn't measure up to the nice demeanor that you receive. Smaller right parking lot. Sorry to rain on those who feel this is very good in their standards. It is ok for a last minute filler if that's all that's available to you. Just giving our views on the handful of times we've tried them. Well a friend of mine was treating and I told him to go somewhere else because the last time I went there they charged me 4.00 for extra onions in my burger, anyway I said please get me a order of BBQ wings so when he arrives with the wings they didn't smell or taste like BBQ I don't know what the flavor was but it wasn't good and the worst thing was the wings had those thick hairs on them so that means they weren't cleaned before they were cooked just disgusting, this definitely means I will never go to Mario's again and I will spread the word to my friends and family, just nasty Mario's You Need To Do Better!! read more

Mario's pizza is decent when you're hungry. The pie can be a bit greasy at times and the sausage is sliced like lunch meat, which diminishes the flavor quite a bit. Overall, you can't beat the prices when they run specials. If you're looking for affordable takeout, then definitely stop here. read more

Every time we order from here we're blown away by the flavor and quality of the food! We've lived nearby and driven past for decades and never tried it. One Monday night - for a birthday - we needed pizza and of course most Italian restaurants are closed Monday's! I asked on Facebook for recommendations and was told to try Mario's - we did and have ordered multiple times since! Don't let the outside fool you - these people can COOK!!! We order through Grubhub and the food us always perfectly packaged and hot as well as delicious!! I don't have pictures as the food never lasts very long but we've tried their pizza (I LOVE their Sicilian and I don't eat thick crust pizza!), their dinners, wraps, grinders, garlic knots (OMG!!!!) and much more! Not bad-not the best but not the worst but definitely very affordable and probably one of the best garlic knots I have ever had-so fresh with oil, fresh garlic, oregano, basil and parm, an order of these just once will ward off any vampires coming your way for your lifetime! All kidding aside, we loved these-texture was great and everyone loved these in our home. As for pizza, it was solid and tasty. I would not make the trip out to Naugatuck for it but if I was here, I would definitely stop by. Great open space with very clean kitchen and conscientious workers who are meticulous in their preparations. Best Italian style pizza that I've tasted in Naugatuck. Food is very consistent. They also sell a variety of slices. Everyone who works here is super friendly. Conveniently located close to the highway. Easy on and off Route 8 exit 26. Let me start by saying I never write reviews. Stayed right up the street this weekend for an event in town, wanted to grab a quick bite to eat before the show and found a little pizza/deli with a hole in the wall vibe. Convinced I'd probably have some kind of stomach ache due to greasy mediocre sub shop food but whatever I'm used to it. So when we got back to the airbnb and unpacked the bag with these massive sandwiches I wanted to eat fast so I had time to let it settle before the show. No. I had the best chicken parm sub of my life. I usually go for like an Italian or a steak and cheese but I ventured out, regrettably. And I say regrettably because my boyfriend got the Italian sub and I've never been so jealous of someone else's meal in my life. 10/10 recommend. So sad I live 3 hours away and this isn't my neighborhood sub shop. I'd also probably weigh 300 pounds. Also since the sub was so massive I couldn't eat it all. The food deserves a 3 but because they had excellent customer service, they receive an overall 4. We ordered several items off of the menu including a large pizza, cheese sticks and garlic bread & also a 2 liter of coke. The pizza crust was really great- but the part under the toppings was pretty soggy, which neither of us cared for. The cheesesticks were a bit firm & very basic, especially for the price. We liked the garlic bread and I loved the marinara sauce. We don't particularly feel the need to go back, but we absolutely loved how kind the employees were. This place is rediculas. I ordered 2 pizzas and garlic knots. They gave me one price then when I get there they want to charge me a different price and give me less food. Ordered 30 minutes before they closed through door dash (i know last minute orders before close can be a pain)... everything was perfect! I got a chicken bacon ranch wrap, fries, and a salad. Wrap was loaded and hot, fries weren't soggy, and the salad was fresh. I got all my dipping sauces and salad dressings- and the salad came with a piece of fresh garlic bread too. Mario's is so yummy! When they have their $5.99 pizza special we get it multiple times a week. Their calzones are great and the pita's are a must try. The salad with grilled chicken is delicious and comes with a roasted pepper medley. The small is so big! It comes in a round tin as opposed to other places that come in that small styrofoam container when you order a small. I'm kind of surprised at some of these lower reviews. I had two slices of pizza with bacon at $2.00 a piece. The owner said that if I didn't like it, he will refund my money "double". I took it home and enjoyed every bit. My dog loved the crust. Don't spend your money here. Extremely unpleasant experience. The owners threatened to damage and then tow my car , a customer mind you for parking inside the parking lot of the establishment. On top if it the place was less than 30mins from closing and I wasn't in anyone's way because no one else was even there. I have never witnessed anything so petty. We ordered pizza and wings for our business from here and it was the worst, greasiest pizza I have ever had. They must have changed something in their ingredients because other times we have ordered it was decent. This was a thin, very limp crust pie, the toppings were lost in the grease. The "wings" were basically boneless fried pieces of chicken breast, obviously from frozen, sauce was bland. I doubt we will order from them again. read more
