Walked in shortly after noon today. Placing order was easy and fine. Ordered two beefs juicy and one french fry. Waiting for my order is when it all went downhill. The lady assembling orders and yelling out instructions and names wore a face mask----AROUND HER NECK. It covered no part of her face , mouth and nose were wide open from protection. This while packing the orders to go. Her hands were also not protected and several times touched french frys while packing them into bags. Then a cook carried an uncovered pizza from back with no hand or FACE protection. Obviously management does not take the health of customers very seriously. The sanitation practices of the staff were non-existent! If you want good health practices and proper sanitation for your food orders avoid CHICKIES. read more

I took my 3 kids there about a week ago, spent anout $50, no problem. Then after we arrived home with the order, we were very disappointed. I have been an original Chickies fan since the 70's from the Pulaski days. We purchased Chicago style Hot dogs, these were very poor Quality with very minimum trimmings. The chili dog had maybe a teaspoon of chili and so not worth the visit. Fries were not as flavorful. I hope they get their act together, soon. read more

Best place in the neighborhood! Top notch everything. Love the fresh cut fries and pizza. You can tell by the taste that they are using high end products, unlike the other places around the area. Yesterday I went in with my family. We walked in and no one greeted us (this is a usual occurrence). We got to the counter and started to order. We told the (masked) cashier that we would like pizza. But they only had 2 slices of sausage. So we asked how long until they had more. We were told by the unmasked (unacceptable during the pandemic) staff member that it would be 20-25 minutes (which makes sense for the cook time). So we decided that we would order the 2 sausage pieces and were told that those 2 pieces were sold already to a to go order, who was told over the phone that the "pizza would be ready in 20-25 minutes" (an overheard conversation). The (masked) cashier taking our order turned to the (unmasked) employee and said these people want the 2 pieces. And the unmasked employee said, "no they're already sold." Then I said but we are dining in and we are right here in front of you. To that the unmasked employee said, "sorry but they are sold to the to go order." We decided to walk out and go somewhere else for dinner. I would like to say that this was an isolated thing, but this happens almost every time we try and have dinner there. From not being greeted to the staff "selling" pizza to people not in the restaurant standing in front of them. It's really a shame that we aren't allowed to give 0 star reviews because that is what I would give this place based on yesterday's visit. read more

April 3, 2023 we had a luncheon for funeral. The atmosphere was very nice. Clean bathrooms. The service good. Unfortunately when of my guest brought me a plate with hair on it. I observed ad they refilled food for guest. Slow and the amount of food for the next serving was as a guest told me skimpy. I reserved the larger room for over 60 and I had 68 guest. I made sure as a hostess to go last to serve myself. There was not much left. I felt embarrassed. What if I would have had 84 guest as they say they hold. There would not be enough. We had the luncheon with salad, green beans almandine, mashed potatoes- which got replaced with steak fries, gravy, fried chicken. You pay good money for this space but was very disappointed in the not having enough food for the 68 people. I would not recommend this place even if it is good tasting food. worst thing to not be able to handle your customers when you say that that it can handle. Nope you did not WOW me Chickies. You need to up your quantity of food you put out. I was embarrassed. Not being prepared with enough food. "They are being skimpy with the food" from a guest - I'll never forget that! read more

Stopped in today for the first time here. Greeted by super friendly staff and perused the decent size menu. After recommendation, I got the beef and it was excellent. just the right amount of spice and generous size. Service is fast, restaurant is clean and comfortable. Went and stopped for a quick bite on lunch break. Sue was fantastic! She had great energy and the food was awesome!

I have never been to a fast food restaurant that has a more efficient and pleasant drive thru staff as Chickie's. They always have a smile and speak kindly. Most other places give attitude when a customer tries to add on at the window or ask for extra condiments or whatever else and I have never had this problem here. I love the food. I would give 4.5 stars if I could- I have a personal pet peeve with places that give me the shaved jalapeño slices when I ask for my beef hot (The traditional way of ordering a Chicago beef with giardiniera). But the reason my 4.5 star review tips over into 5 instead of a 4- the beef itself was moist enough that it did not taste like tuna out of the can and their pan pizza knocks it out of the park. Love it their food is so good that I have been their places so many times. They were originally from Chicago for a long time then they move to hillside and still great. It is own by family. Their pizza is the best but overall all their food is great. We go there all the time for different foods. Love the people they give u respect and they also help if you need anything. I just want to start this by saying i only get dogs from here so as far as my knowledge of the menu goes dogs and fries are about it.
