They called me 30 min later that they have to charge me extra $25, that they saw 2 fleas. For less than 7 months, I have used them for 4th time, and they charged me for fleas twice already. My puppy does not have fleas. I wash him every 10 days and had flea medication from the vet and also treat him with external flea treatment every 30 days. The person who called me for extra charge was very rude and raised her voice and I felt very uncomfortable. When I got there to pick up my puppy, I waited 15 min. I called "Excuse me" at least 10 times, but groomer inside just looked at me and did their grooming job. The dogs were barking but the groomers were saying "Shut your mouth!" I saw my dog in the cage shivering like crazy. I just wanted to pay and take my puppy home but nobody was responding. I felt horrible. I said loudly, "Excuse me, I want to pick up my puppy!" Nobody answered and I had to see my puppy shivering and looking so sad I the cage. Finally, the front desk came out behind the back, and say why didn't you knock on the door? Which door? I was inside and waiting in front of the front desk. I just gave them the money envelope and left with my puppy. When I saw him inside the car, his haircut looked horrible. They had the full grooming in less than an hour. Never ever going back there again! Rude Rude people!

The store is clean and provides a variety of dog & cat items (from treats, pet food, baked goods to accessories). We appreciated the samples for our dog prior to buying and that they have soo many freeze dry food items. We use freeze dry toppers to mix with our dog's kibble. The costs were average price and they have deals depending on when you go. The most important is that they have the items we need in stock. We'll be back if we are in the area or want to try some new treats or dog food.

Over the past few months I've dealt with multiple last-minute cancellations -- usually about two hours before my appointment -- because a groomer called in. I get that it happens occasionally, but it became a pattern, especially on Sundays. In April, I had to cancel for one of my senior dogs due to illness. I called the day before, but was still charged a fee for not giving 24 hours' notice. I paid it without complaint, even though I'd already been cancelled on multiple times with only two hours' notice, and even though I drive 30-35 minutes each way. My senior dog also has a medical exemption from her rabies shot due to a blood condition, so this is the only groomer I can take her to. In June, I scheduled again for both dogs -- cancelled two hours before, again. I let that one go too and rescheduled for the earliest opening, two weeks out. I showed up that Sunday with both dogs, and was told my 9am appointment was cancelled because the technician had called in -- again. No one had called to warn me. Staff at the desk didn't apologize, just said "you can reschedule." I overheard them say they hadn't had time to call anyone. At that point I calmly told them I was done: I'd paid a cancellation fee once, been cancelled on within two hours of my appointment, and now I was cancelled with zero notice for both dogs. That's two cancellations in one month, on top of a fee I never should have been charged given how often they cancel on customers. No same-day rescheduling, no credits, no accountability -- customers eat the cost every time, but there's no consequence on their end. I really did enjoy this place, but the staffing/call-in situation is out of control. I won't be going back, and I'll be finding another groomer for my healthy dog and grooming my senior girl myself going forward. *** i don't know why my last review says i posted that 1 month ago. more like 1 year ago.

Luckily they had availability within an hour to take my doggie. The signage now shows this as Cobb & Co. There was plenty of parking and I was able to get checked in quickly. The exam didn't take too long and the vet took the time to explain everything to me. I went home amazed that I went from panicked to perfectly calm thanks to how they handled everything. Prices for the exam and the medications were perfectly reasonable and I've now told 4 other friends to check them out. I will be bringing both my dogs here from now on!

My wife and I recently moved to the area in Late August. We own two cats, Molly, age 12 and…read moreCarlton, age 11. we were looking for a Vet in the area who was established and well-known. We were referred by a friend to Tri City Animal Hospital ion Elgin. Although our home is in Algonquin we found that Tri City was not that far and easy to get to. Molly, the older cat had some problems with her fur matting (she is a long hair) and had been pulling the matted fur out in clumps. She also needed her yearly rabies shot. So we made an appointment for Sept 11th to get her checked out. On that Date she was given the rabies shot and had the mattes fur removed. She was then given a blood test to look for any issues. I was told once they received the results back from the lab they would call me. Probably a Day or two. So far- so good. Now we made an appointment for them to see our other cat, Carlton. Carlton had been a rescue cat that my wife adopted and is her special little friend. They are very close. However, recently, Carlton had been acting lethargic and was losing weight. He was also drinking HUGE amounts of water constantly and missing his litter box. So we needed to get him checked out as well as to get him his rabies shot. We took him in to Tri City on September 16th at which point I still had not received a phone call, email or text from them concerning the results of Molly's tests. I assumed that a lack of a call could be interpreted as everything was well with her. And she was back to acting normally anyway. So I didn't raise a ruckus at this time. Our primary concern was Carlton who seemed to be in declining health. So on Sept 16th we brought Carlton to Tri City and a girl came out to our car and took our information and Carlton's History. They examined him and gave him his rabies shot. He was found to be severely dehydrated and had sores inside of his mouth. To them this indicated a possible thyroid and/or kidney problem. They took blood and urine samples and sent them to the lab and, again, promised to call us with the results. At this time they also rehydrated Carlton before releasing him to us. This was on Wednesday the 16th. we heard nothing from them on the 17th. On the morning of the 19th a Doctor from Tri City called my wife at work at a time when she couldn't talk and blurted out that the cat had 3rd stage kidney disease and hyperthyroidism and was in bad shape. My wife was extremely upset at being told this in such an abrupt and matter-of -fact manner and told them she couldn't talk as she was at work and she'd call them after work. So all Day long she was upset and distracted from her work by this call. Once she got home she called them back while was at her side. At this point she got a different Doctor who told her that all of their files were mixed up that had come from the lab and they didn't know which lab results belonged to which animal. He admitted to the screw-up which at various times during the conversation was blamed on "some other Doctor" because he is not there every Day or "the lab" or just somebody that works at the animal hospital. My wife was now crying so I took the phone and told him I didn't like the way that they had given my wife the bad news that morning when she had been at work and had told them she couldn't talk. Also that the result of that phone call she had been in a emotional wreck all Day- AND to NOW be told that they didn't even know which test belonged to which animal!!! And then I mentioned that I had never even heard the results of Molly's tests a week earlier. Well he fumbled around and eventually found those results, again blaming the lack of a call on somebody else. So now we were back at square one. We had to bring Carlton back in on Monday the 21st to go through the tests all over again. Over the weekend Carlton grew more lethargic but didn't seem to be in any pain. We duly brought him back in for our appointment at noon. They didn't see us until after 12:30 but that is a minor complaint. They drew blood but were unable to obtain a urine sample. They also rehydrated him again and told us that the samples would go to the lab that afternoon we should hear from them the next Day (Tuesday). We didn't hear from them on Tuesday. We didn't hear from them on Wednesday nor Thursday. At this point it really didn't matter because Carlton died late Tuesday Night, cradled in my wife's arms. On Friday September 25th my wife got a call from Tri City. The Doctor on the Line told my wife that results of the test showed that the cat was in very bad shape. My wife then told her the sad news that the cat had passed away on Tuesday Night. At this point the Doctor told her that it was to be expected because of it's condition and age (the cat was only 11- hardly old). Incompetence coupled with lack of empathy was our experience there and we won't be back.
