Want an unlicensed groomer that communicates poorly? This happened: 8am wash and cut appointment. Had to call them at 11 and again an hour later and they still were not finished. Went to rescue my rescue dog and she was in a crate, two hot dryer tubes blasting! Her body temperature is still too high. I had to tell the "groomer" to turn off the dryer! I can't say enough about how happy I am with Shaggy Dog Shop! I've been bringing my 10 year old golden mix to SDS for a few years now and EVERY time they do a beautiful job. As my girl has gotten older-she can't sit for long in a crate and SDS is so accommodating. I am able to bring her early in the morning and they phone me as soon as she is done so I can pick her up. She is always so beautiful and happy when I get there and I know she has been in good and loving hands. My girl is VERY floofy and they brush her out so nicely-she looks like such a lady! The products they use are good on her sensitive skin, they clip her nails really well (and we all know how scary that can be!), and they are always asking for feedback (which I think is the sign of a GREAT business). So Id like to start by saying we dropped our dog off at 3pm, and they told us pickup would be 530. We asked for a full bath, ear cleaning, nail trim, sanitary trim and brush out. They asked us to push back our pick up time to 6:30pm, and that was fine. Then i called to confirm pick up, and they asked us to pick up at 7pm. Still ok, i understand they are busy with one groomer and my dog is quite large. I arrive at 7pm to pick her up, and they asked me to come back at 8pm. I said no that won't work, and we have already extended our time with you and my toddler is waiting for bedtime at home. The one groomer was busy with another dog, and they had communicated multiple times throughout the day how much of a handful it was with the other dog. They did bathe my dog, trim her nails and clean ears, but had not finished with her brush out, which is the most important part since she has a double coat. The groomer had a HORRIBLE attitude, and was very irritated at both myself and the very nice woman working the front. The receptionist asked the groomer to finish my dog first, to which the groomer replied, "ok well the other dog is supposed to be done first, and now that she's here her dog won't behave...'" and i proceeded to get very irritated. I told her, you know what, give me my dog, I'll brush her myself at home. Overall horrible experience, the only nice thing was how nice the receptionist was. I paid $75 for that. Then that night they text my husband and I, and blame it all on the groomer, saying she has a medical condition, (which i don't feel it was appropriate for that to even be shared with me.) they offered to pick up and finish my dogs groom, but we have already since brushed her out. We won't be returning, but the bath and nails were very nice. read more

Took my dog to get a haircut and he has been difficult to cut before but other locations have always manage to cut him. So they were not able to fully cut him because he was nipping at everyone so I understand their concern to stop. they didn't even bathe him and they still wanted to charge me the $77! She took $10 off because she "thought about it" but Even if things went fine this would be the most expensive doggy cut I've ever paid for before tip. That's one. Two people should not be charged full price if things like this happen. I definitely would've tipped regardless if they finished or not but I find it very rude to be charged full price when half of the job was done and it was less than 45 minutes There at the facility. I appreciate their efforts but It should never have been a thought to charge people full price when the job wasn't fully done. Wonderful service!!! I can tell they love my dog as much as I do just by how careful they are with her. You can tell that the staff really loves what they're doing. They always listen to how I want the cut done and I'm never disappointed. Also whatever bath products they use take a while to wear off leaving my pup smelling good for up to two weeks after her bath! Also they are right on time when they say they're going to be done. That helps with a busy schedule. You can count on them for giving loving, timely and professional grooming services. 5 stars. read more

The staff was extremely nice right off the bat and they were experienced in what they do. Usually my dog hates going to groomers, but she seemed to love this place.
