Marty Mcfly(he knows who I'm talking about) was real about the options and even hunted down a vehicle that fit my wants when the one I wanted was sold. Still not happy about the payment but I'll get over it . Not sure why everyone on yelp has had the worst luck? Yall must have rubbed reeves the wrong way because him and Tim took care of me no problem and I came out with a new truck and a new friend . Alright I'm done. The other guys automotive may not be a world class dealership but the job got done and I'm happy with my purchase and I'd go somewhere like this versus a huge dealership any day of the week. WOW!!!! I had a great sales experience. I left an amazing review about it..THEN the CHECK ENGINE light came on. They reset it and told me it was fine... it wasn't. Compression problems in the engine in the first week. Service wouldn't even talk about it unless I had the gold standard warranty, even though we were still in the 15 day sales warranty. I did, though. Extremely condescending return from the service dept. I emailed the sales manager Reeves, who i prior had a great experience with. He said he wanted to get it right, come in Monday at 830 as planned to get it all fixed. I arrived at 833. Service asked if I had an appointment, yes. Now they want to diagnose the problem they've already seen twice. Reeves doesn't show up until 11, catches an attitude because I sent him an email saying it was crazy work for me to be here to fix this as advised and he isn't here. He said Ay, our hours are posted. I'm on time. After his response I went on yelp....omg... the reviews!!! How many people they've done this to!!!...I told Reeves I'm in trouble here huh? He asked what i meant and I told him...the reviieeeewwsss... he said it's not his fault, in his words, their service department sucks, service sold me a bad car, not him and I could get out because I wasn't going to give him a bad day just because I was having one. He literally said have fun waiting for service to fix it, you're not getting any help now. I didn't get out. He told me to wait outside. I waited right there in the office... I'm waiting as i write this review, sitting in the sales office being utterly ignored by the sales manager... waiting for parts that should have already been here since they knew the problem wasn't fixed and I'd return for service soon. I've been here for almost 5 hours and the car is still on the lift. When the service department sucks so bad that the sales manager tells you they suck instead of being accountable for selling you a terrible car... you know you're in trouble. read more

I went there to look at a particular car that was on the website. I communicated with the salesman Reeves which car I was going for. When I got there that car was gone. He tried telling me he didn't know even though I specifically stated which car I wanted and why. I was told to look at other cars, I found two I liked. I test drove both. Both weren't bad. I asked about a very important service being done (piston ring replacement ) he had no knowledge and gave me the car fax which never showed it being done. He went to run the numbers and came back with a payment higher than I wanted and when I asked if I could think about it over night he got very aggressive saying "if you leave now the deal is off" so I put the car fax down and I left. On my way home I received a message from the gm Tim and he proceeded to harass me stating they went through hoop after hoop for me which I know they didn't. I watched everything and listened to the calls. From there Reeves felt the need to send me a text harassing me. I don't ever recommend this place no matter how desperate you are. read more

Months ago I came to the dealership with a low down payment. I came back to them after being in a car accident that resulted in a car loss. They came back and stated I needed to give them at least 3000 down payment. According to them they had a hard time finding a leader to work with me. Reeves let me borrow a car with a deposit of $500 I didn't sign any paperwork just my receipt. I took the car home and did not hear anything back. It took two days of no communication I had to reach out to them. I ended up giving the car back to them because I did not want it. When I asked for my money back refused to and gave me an attitude. I had to file a dispute with my bank and because of no response back I have to pay that money bank. This dealership is terrible and treat customers like nothing. They tell the customers to put in a review to get $500 off the down and payment. It's a scam. I emailed them and I still can't response back. I beyond angry and think it's unfair. I'd give one star but they were nice. Professional? Not so much. I get they have quotas they need to meet, but I came in there with a specific budget and they attempted to pressure me into buying a car that was almost 50% above my budget. I get the kind of dealership this is, but come on, people are out here struggling and you take advantage of people in a not so good situation. Also, selling a car way over the fair market value is insane. Especially with an open safety recall and the former driver averaged almost 30k miles a year. stay FAR away from these guys 7/9/2022 my son bought a car and since day 2 the A/C don't work. .It has been taken to their service department multiple times as well as several others and over a year later still doesn't work We tried to get this corrected within our 15 day warranty, it was taken to their service station multiple times. I really thought I was gonna have an amazing experience with The Other Guys Automotive.... But the day I had an appointment scheduled (7/16 @ 1pm) with Mike, I texted a couple times to confirm the apt was still scheduled and the complimentary Lyft ride to the dealership was scheduled as I was advised the night before... but I waited about 30 mins.. no text back so I called. Mike sounded annoyed and was short/rude towards me. He acted like he forgot the plan he set up after confirming he could work with me and all my special circumstances. Later on he blamed his shortness due to answering the phone while at a doctor appt.. he answered a few more texts but that was it... He NEVER SET UP MY LYFT OR TEXTED/CALLED ME even though we had a whole appt set up for me to come buy a car from him... Update on 8/24/21: I have a hard inquiry on my credit report from this place even tho I NEVER filled out an app, only a pre-qualification app which was agreed upon between Mike and myself. After working on my credit with my husband for the last 2yrs. and I personally was sick of Cactus Jack's because my credit sucked that hard (LOL) I saw this ad for a 2009 Acura TSX with less than 85k in miles. My husband is also a mechanic (a very good one I might add) and we checked everything and took it for a spin on the back road behind the dealership. This is the epitome of shady used car dealers! The six positive reviews you see are probably friends and the other negative review you see is an honest customer. We went through three cars before we found one that wasn't having major issues. I agree that they are really nice when it comes to selling you a car, and they even realized they had to continue to be nice through the selling process, but once you are past the lemon law period of time, you are on your own... Bought the car in April and the tags expired in May, lots of electrical issues, made them replace a bunch of the suspension parts and they never told us that there were two major recalls on the car! We got everything fixed, but at our own financial and time expense. Save yourself the hassle and go to a real/reputable dealership. read more
