The BEST truffle fries in the tri-cities.... I'm a foodie, I'm also a sucker for a good crispy, flavorful & obnoxiously truffle-y truffle fry, and lemme tell ya these hit the spot every time. I dream about them, I crave them 24/7. 10/10 Pickle Pizza - hand rolled crust, perfect blend of garlic oil, crema and pickles to cheese ratio is just perfection. The Drinks - their bartenders are some of the best in our area! I asked for a spicy marg, and this one was divine. My one, teeny tiny, complaint if I may - the ranch isn't homemade, and it totally breaks my heart. With some of the amazing recipes and finesse they have here, you'd think the ranch would be top notch... Kids perspective- Why are there so many bad reviews this place is great! My family came here around 7 and got right in, no wait. We were seated outside and it was great. They have an outdoor bonfire and corn hole, also a view of the river! I ordered the root beer and it was very good. I got the pretzel charcuterie and it was soooooooo good. The bar and grill has been open for 10 days. So it needs tweaks etc. I am disappointed in the small inept menu. While I understand it's a bar and grill it's so loud I could barely talk to anyone at the table. We had the pretzel as our appetizer. It was the best part of my meal. I had chicken tenders and a bowl of a chicken corn chowder soup. It was ok. Overpriced. Hubby had the smashburger. He liked it. I don't see us frequenting the new establishment unless they add to their menu. I prefer Riverside next door. read more

Staff and service was great and bloody Mary bar was excellent. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in the brunch. The avocado on the toast was so hard you couldn't even mash it by hand, let alone bite into it. The eggs came out wrong three times. If I could give this zero stars I would. It is super Loud inside, we asked to sit outside. We We're offered waster. I asked for No ice with lemon. The seater brought me no ice but told me they don't have lemon, she said to wait for the waitress and she would have to get some froM the bar. We waited 10 minutes and no one ever came. We left and went next door. This is a place that is trying to be trending with the barn type sort of hip decor but the service is crap and from the reviews So is the food. The one star is for the kindness of the server, who was great. Excited to get out this new place, love the concept. Food was pretty good. It feels like a high school club. At 730pm we couldn't hear each other talking, a group of 8ish friends of the owner were loud, rude, and their conversations were totally off and not ok for the general crowd including families with little kids. What was really disheartening, they were sitting with the owner who just let it go and go and go. He'd get up and walk around, go in the back and come back out drinking a beer in his hand. Really not a good vibe. Clique-y and if you know the owner -- anything goes. The table behind us -- same reaction -- it was gross and weird especially at 730 in the evening. Hopefully the owner reads this and can make some changes so that people can enjoy the place and it can be a more positive vibe, for everyone. read more

We stopped by to try it and it was okay. We ordered the big app and it didn't come out. We finally got dinner after a while and the app came out. It was tiny for $16 and it was cold. I didn't even take a bite. The chicken I ordered was also room temp/colder and the salad was like it was bagged. I was really disappointed for the quality from cost and hoping for the best. If you've travelled outside of Freeland, MI or any rural area for lack of a better word, you'd recognize this type of bar as pretty standard. The style reminds me of some of the breweries in GR. The menu is front and back and has plenty of heavy options to choose from. Sandwiches, burgers, appetizers. The pretzel and cheese is very good. I took a look at the cocktail menu and $8 dollars for a cocktail is on the cheaper end if you live outside of Freeland. I got a whiskey and coke for $4 - I was pretty shocked. I live in GR and travel quite often; understanding the demographic of Freeland (and other rural areas), the negative reviews make more sense. If you want to go to a sit down restaurant where it's quiet, the menu has multiple pages, and the food is what you've been eating for years - go next door. read more

Don't confuse this with the restaurant in Freeland PA. This one is in Freeland Michigan. I went there (Michigan) after it opened with my friends. The menu is totally overpriced and sub-par and extremely small. The young lady that waited on us was wonderful. (that is the reason for 2 stars) Of course the place is clean, it's brand new! I, along with one of my friends, got the prime rib French dip. It should be called an onion and cheese sandwich on a hotdog bun with a tablespoon of meat with brown water as the Au Jus. (No flavor at all and hardly any meat! At all! Loads of onion). The Espresso martini was nice, but, in a mini martini glass for $12 and a splash of Kahlua and a dollop of vodka! (don't eat the coffee bean!) The pretzel charcuterie appetizer, for $20, consisted of a nice big soft pretzel with a small handful of grapes, canned pitted black olives, pre-cubed cheddar cheese, unsalted almonds, 8 tissue thin pieces of lunch meat, a spoon of Philadelphia herbed cream cheese along with a liquid cheese and a jelly. It looks cool on the plate but when you break it down, where's the actual Charcuterie experience? Just a soft pretzel with canned olives and bagged cheese cubes, grapes and thin lunch meat. For $20! There are 4 entrees. Only four! Two salads then 2 others, chicken strips and a corkscrew shrimp with 2 sides. There are wraps and a burger. My other 2 friends got the smash burger. One said Culvers is much better. Nothing to brag about at all. Good for the 2 sons of the Riverside restaurant next door that want to build something different, but don't cheap out on food. I don't want to pay $82 for 2 onion and cheese sandwiches on a hot dog bun with 3 drinks and a soft pretzel with cheap additions and try to call it a charcuterie board. I will continue to support Freeland MI but not here. I will go to the Log Cabin where they have really great food along with Entre Amigos for wonderful Mexican. read more
