Avoid on Saturday and Sunday. The parking lot is designed by someone who does not understand traffic. For example, the entrance goes from four to one lane in the space of 100 yards. I just spent 32 minutes in traffic just to get to the parking lot. This place is not your place. read more

Ok lets just think about this. You may not be in hell... but you definitely can see Sparks from here... but an outdoor mall in Sparks? WHAT ARE YOU THINKING DESIGNERS??? Its not like this place is LA, Phoenix, or Texas. Yay lets go do our Christmas shopping in the cold and likely inclement weather of the Reno area... Furthermore, this places winds around on itself several times. I think that it is not that great of a place. However if you need a chain store, this is one of the newest places to go here in Reno. The facility just needs more overhead coverage, in the worst way! The shops range from giant box stores to large box stores to standard mall shops. Parking is plentiful as well. Heck they even have a number of restaurants sprinkled throughout this place. Now be warned, this is the SECOND WORST PARKING LOT I HAVE EVER SEEN OR TRIED TO PARK IN! Seriously whoever designed this place must have been on crack. First they have the primary entrance with a single lane roundabout! WTH IDIOTS what were you thinking. This place gets 15 times too much traffic for a single lane roundabout. Everyone I know avoids this place at busy shopping times simply because of this stupid idiotic roundabout. Then to work the parking even worse is that there are only two other points of ingress/egress. One is through the target parking lot and the other is between the freeway and the main entrance. I think that they really need to redesign that part of this place... it is just pure hell to try and get in/out of here. One word: Meh. I'm from Alaska, so I can handle "cold" and whatever smart guy thunked up outdoor malls in Reno should be flicked right in his ear (when it's cold). I'd even venture to say the bigger problem is not the "cold" but the wind, or lack therof on certain days which makes it very hot. The weather in Reno is bipolar- and therefore hard to predict which makes it hard to know how to dress when shopping at the outdoor malls. I love to shop, but we walked around and I was not impressed. There's a ton of shoe stores, with let's be honest- ugly ass shoes. We went into the kids store, Carters I think it was- and tried to pay for about $100 worth of clothes- but for whatever reason their card reader was not working. It kept denying my card!! Before you get all worked up, let me add that there was PLENTY of money in my account- absolutely NO reason for it to not work. The girl behind the counter was giving me 'that look' - you know, the look where they seem as if they pity you and at the same are disgusted by you. The girl argued with me when I pointed out that this was, in fact, a problem with HER machine. I told her that I'd go get her CASH since her machine wasn't working properly- but funny thing- we couldn't find an ATM! We walked around for an hour looking for a stupid ATM- on the directory there was the little dot that said there should be one- but it wasn't there! And of course, trying to find security or someone who knew anything- was impossible. That, and it'd be nice if there was a snack bar, somewhere NOT across the way from the stores. We got thirsty walking all over the place looking for an ATM and the only places we could see that had drinks were the restaraunts across the way. I have no plans to go back. The lady in Carters was snotty, we couldn't find an ATM (hopefully there's one there now) couldn't find anyone to help us, nothing to drink, crazy winds with a freakish chill in the air....meh. Not impressed. Plus, the roundabouts are just...annoying. Too many people have no clue what they are supposed to do or which way takes them to where. From what I've seen, they cause more traffic delays than they help remedy. I've seen drivers almost smash into each other because they thought they needed to go this way to get into this parking lot. Crazy. We ended up going to Olive Garden so that we could get something to drink (and eat) and amazingly my card worked just fine in paying for our lunch as it did for all of our purchases later that day at Meadowood Mall. It's not the best outlet that I've ever been to but for Sparks/Reno, this place is not bad. They don't have a huge variety of named brand stores but personally I'm not the type that would go to every single store anyway. They have NIke, Converse, Guess, Banana Republic, Kenneth Cole to name a few. Out of curiosity, why is Banana Republic's pricing still so high even at an Outlet store?!? I just don't get it. All other places are considerably lower with the same quality of clothing. The complex is still fairly new, there are a few vacancies here and there, the stores are clean, and feels spacious. I would definitely come back when in Reno. read more

The mall is close to me and the mall area is laid out fine. The fireplaces, water features and seating areas are all very pretty and I love the "ode to Nevada" themed sculptures. There are a few great stores, a fantastic movie theater, some decent restaurants and the location, next to the freeway, Sparks Marina and ...ahem.... 1/2 mile from my house is perfect. All that being said, it needs so much more. It's too empty and blah. The parking is confusing. Many of the retail spaces are sitting empty and there are very limited choices for dining especially within the main mall area. Now that we are coming out of the Great Recession and companies are moving into the area, I'm sure that this will change and I'm excited to see what's in store. I'd love to see some creative fun interactive things. Places Like a blow dry salon, any kind of breakfast place, maybe a few more dining choices, small plates or tapas types of places would be so great near the movie theater. A wine bar, even better with live music, would be a hit as Sparks is sorely lacking in this area If they build it I will come ;) I promise....This area has so much potential. read more

The is a nice outlet mall. We always find ourselves here during winter and when it's snowing. It's not that big but the outdoors is nice. They have large fireplaces, sitting areas and art pieces outdoors. When it's snowing, it's pretty nice sitting by the fireplace. I wish they had more shops and a good eating area though. read more

I feel like while some of the stores employees are very courteous, there are a few stores that have employed snobby, impolite young girls. BCBG - the girl working there today was incredibly rude. She looked at me like I didn't belong there and walked away almost as soon as I walked in... Never offering any help, so I left. Converse - the girl working here was very polite and helpful. She always had a smile on and was happy to show me a few different selections of cons for my boys. Guess - the girls there were about as delightful as a stocking full of coal on Christmas. I needed help putting an outfit together, but neither of them really showed me around or told me about any specials they had. They also seemed annoyed that after I got to the counter with clothes I found myself, I turned around and put some items away. I put them back exactly as I found them so there shouldn't have been a problem. Carter's and Oshkosh - I love the deals they always have and the employees are very sweet. They don't gawk at you if your kids happen to be misbehaving or if they're loud. The stores are both well kept and organized as well. Overall - I have to agree with Allie. The prices are not really outlet prices. Nothing I could find anyway. read more

The stores themselves would probably get 4 stars from me, but that's for the actual store pages on Yelp, not the mall one, yes? The mall itself....not so good. A) Only slightly more walkable than The Summit. And I think that's only because there's less stores. I do not really want to hike from Scheel's to Gamestop to Target on a casual shopping trip, nor do I want to drive from store to store. I probably wouldn't shop here casually for that reason...I'd only go here to go to a specific store and park nearby. Not good. B) What kind of #$%&i developers keep building this outdoor mall crap in Reno?!?! Have any of them ever set foot in this city?! We have a total of maybe 3 days a year that I'd want to stroll around an outdoor mall. It's 100 all summer and snowy all winter, why would I want to be outside shopping in that?! The Summit didn't do spectacularly, why on earth would you build another one?! C) THE ROUNDABOUT MAKES NO SENSE. I don't have a problem with roundabouts. I have never been confused by a roundabout before. But jeez, the exits aren't clearly marked at all, and 90% of the drivers can't seem to figure out what "yield" (or, not yield, as the case may be) means. Roundabouts are supposed to ease traffic, not cause traffic jams. Do you like shopping at outlet stores? Are you proud of what Nevada has to offer or are you curious to know more about Nevada? The Outlets at Legends is a unique outlet shopping center for what it provides. Scheels is touted as "the world's largest selection of sports, sportswear, and footwear under one roof", with special attractions like the 65 foot Ferris Wheel and the Walk of Presidents. Name brand outlet boutiques like BCBG, Banana Republic, and Guess offer shoppers a great variety of stores. If you're hungry, there are restaurants like Grimaldi's Pizza and Jazz, A Louisiana Kitchen, Freshberry Frozen Yogurt, and Gramma Gina's cafe (inside of Scheels). Don't forget the latest additions, CBQ and O'Cleary's that offer drinks, food, and bowling and darts! Probably one of my favorite parts of this shopping area is what you see in the "courtyard" as you walk in between the stores. It's like an outdoor museum that displays people who have made a significant impact on Nevada's history, like Sarah Winnemucca and Mark Twain, and aspects that make Nevada a cool state like the sculpture of Lahontan Cutthroat Trout, Comstock Mine, and Bristlecone Pine. Be sure to walk around the water fountain that also displays the Nevada state items like the state bird, reptile, and fossil. Wear something you don't mind getting wet, and run through the fountain on a hot day! It's refreshing! This is a great place to hang out with friends or to bring visitors from out of state! Every time I come, it seems I learn something new! read more

I LOVE Legends! We have been coming here regularly ever since it opened. Sure, it says it's an outlet mall and some of the stores are decidedly NOT outlets. But I'll overlook in favor of Legend's being a enjoyable outdoor mall. A lot of people love Summit Sierra clear south of Reno. And... it has an Apple Store and a movie theater and a few other gems but other than that? Not really enjoyable to shop at. At Legends, you can park your car and wander around in a pleasant outdoor environment, decorated with various historical and cultural Nevada sculptures and signposts. There's not much to be proud about, living in Nevada. But darned if I don't feel a small stirring of pride when I shop there. All that from a mall? You bet! In the summer months, the center of the mall features a fountain that begs children to run through it. In the winter months, the fountain is shut down but a big fireplace is lit, pumping out flames for the chilled shopper. My favorite stores here would have to be Bath and Body Works (NOT an outlet), Carters, Gymboree, Sketchers and MAYBE Farmer's Almanac (though you'll have to see my review for the issues I have with that particular shop). But we generally wander in and out of a good 10 or so other stores, including Scheels (the kids love to look at the fish). I would only complain that there isn't a whole lot in the way of eating. There are a few sit-down places, and a Subway for the fast food. There's also a coffee shop and a frozen yogurt joint. Not much variety. We do love Jazz though and often stop in and get take out to eat at home. I do admit that sometimes the weather is a factor in whether or not we choose to come. If we're expecting a really windy, wet and ugly day, we'll stay away. But as long as the weather isn't too inclement, Legend's is always a nice stroll. read more

This is a long over due review from my family vacation this past March. We stopped over at this outdoor outlet mall during our road trip. Coming from Hawaii where prices for everything is inflated due to shipping, we were surprised to get some really good deals here. My 9 year old niece forgot her purse on a bench and luckily we were able to retrieve it from the security office. Yay for the good samaritan who turned it in. :) I recommend the outlets for back to school or christmas shopping. Can't go wrong with a nike outlet! read more

If you're a true outlet shopper, you'll brave the elements (and the idiots) for a good deal. This is exactly what we did. On our recent trip to Reno, I had the itch to outlet shop. After arriving at Reno/Tahoe airport, we were greeted by a huge ad board for Legends, equipped with handy fliers. We scanned through the offerings and decided this was the place for us. However once we actually picked up the car and hit the road I forgot to bring the darn thing with me. I remembered that it was in Sparks, and that it was exit 20. No worries, it's clearly visible from the freeway, with a huge sign telling you when to exit. I picked up some workout duds at the adidas store for a song (shirt for $6 that was $30 elsewhere/cropped workout pants for $3) and my bf found a cashmere ralph lauren sweater marked down from $400 to $20! That's just sick! Also found some Life is Good shirts for my parents at Scheels, which was so HUGE with their ferris wheel, salt/freshwater fish tanks and gear for every single sport imaginable. Definitely worth a browse. It was freezing cold, but a good deal is worth it. We both walked away happy campers. read more

A meh selection of shops with gorgeous surroundings. The store selection is nothing to write home about, the usual outlet mall suspects without anything high-end like the outlets in parts of California. On top of that, many of these companies are manufacturing their products specifically for the outlet stores. It's an annoying trend that keeps me from buying much of anything at the property. However, it's a lovely place to walk around. The mall's design is incredible, well landscaped and full of water features and planters. There's also rarely a crowd here, thanks to its out-of-the-way location. Ultimately, it's a mixed-bag that could be improved with a better selection of stores. read more

This place feels like Southern California and I don't know if that is a good or a bad thing. It's an outdoor mall and when I was there yesterday, the freezing wind was blowing. I kept thinking, wtf? An outdoor mall in Reno? It's cold in the winter, hot as hell in the summer, so why would anyone want to wander around this place in either? Is this a mall made for fall? For spring? For hard core shoppers who don't give a shit? That's my guess. The store selection seems okay and I am sure once you get used to the place it lays out better than it does upon first inspection. Since this was my first time here (visiting my family), I felt very discombobulated. It didn't make a lot of sense. Store signs were hard to see and everything felt off in design. It's hard to explain. I think some people would like the stores. I saw a Guess and Bath and Body works, but really, this place seems like it's trying to be an upper-end mall type, but it ends up being just a regular old mall. And because it's an outdoor mall, it ends up being a freezing mall or a hot as hell mall, depending on the season. Plus, I think the sports store is completely ostentatious; a ferris wheel, really? In a sporting goods store? Plus no one would go on it with me. Lame family. The rest of it would probably appeal to hunters and the like, but it didn't really do it for me. That doesn't matter though, since I am not the demographic for the place really, so you probably shouldn't listen to me there. Overall, it seems this place would be good for Reno and especially good for the area where it's built. If you're around, well, I guess it's a mall, right? Nothing to go out of your way for though. And it still feels like Reno's just modeling itself after the crappy parts of California anyway. Meh. read more

Outlet stores are always popular. This area used to be a very large indoor mall that failed and an even larger venture, The Outlets At Sparks, took its place. I only gave it three stars due to it's parking rather than its occupants or maintenance. Parking is nice, until it gets busy, especially around Christmas time (For my PC friends, holiday time). With only one way into the front parking lot and pedestrians walking from the mall to their cars, it's amazing no one gets into an accident! Parking does keep me from frequenting this mall more than I do. Who would create an outdoor mall in an area of the country known to have sub-freezing temperatures? Reno/Sparks would! The area is home to The Outlet At Sparks and another outdoor mall south of Reno. But, I know that I'm in the minority or I treasure things that may freeze and fall off more than the average person! Aside from that, this mall is gorgeous! The layout of the stores and decorative items, benches and fire pits are a nice addition to this mall. Even the upkeep is good. Repairing broken art work, benches and displays, year round. During the winter, most of the snow/ice was removed. But, be forewarned, if you go to the Imax theater in the winter, the walkways may become icy if its below freezing and wet. There wasn't very much saline/salt to make it safe for patrons. Especially if you used the back parking lot. The best time to visit this outdoor mall is during the spring, summer or fall and The Outlet At Sparks, is no exception. Bottom Line --------------- Yes, I will come back. Stores that I would frequent would be IMAX Galaxy Theater, Grimaldi's and The Old Farmer's Almanac store. read more

The outlets at Legends is a very nice outdoor shopping mall. It is a great place to walk around before or after a movie or just to get out of the house. The stores that are located here are decent. I think my favorite would be Scheels. There aren't a lot of choices for teens or young adults. I love coming here just so I have an excuse to get some grub at Grimaldi's. The only reason I didn't give the place five stars is because those damn round-a-bouts that you have to drive through to get into the parking lot are plain AWFUL. I try to avoid them like the plague but even if you go through the back way you still have to face them. I think the only way to avoid them is to enter on Sparks Blvd right before the I-80 West freewat enterance. There is an entry way next to the Taco Bell and Popeyes that you can go through and avoid the round-a-bouts. read more

Who doesn't love an outlet mall?! This mall has a wide variety of stores to chose from for whatever you might need to shop for. There are the usual baby stores, teen stores, athletic stores, health and beauty stores, shoe stores, jewelry stores, adult clothing, and plus size clothing stores. This mall has it all. This is not your average decrepit mall though. It looks brand new, is always well kept, and very clean. There are lovely sitting areas and even a little splash area that is open during the summer for kids to run thru to cool off. It even has several restaurants to chose from if you get hungry while shopping. This is a great mall for all of your shopping needs! read more

Up until now, I have had a hard time finding a decent selection of good Toddler-sized shoes in Reno, so I decided to hit up Legends for winter shoe-shopping. WOW! What a jackpot! Between Converse, Vans, Adidas, Nike, Gap, Gymboree, Osh Kosh, and Scheels, there is a wealth of awesome tiny shoes! (The Off-Broadway store does not carry kid's shoes, though.) Shoes, shoes, shoes...if you like shoes, this is the place! If you're shopping for other stuff, it's just okay. What I really love about this place, though, is the public art. Legends is crammed full of terrific installations, all of which represent the history of Northern Nevada...very, very cool. It's really worth coming here just to wander around and take a look. Toddler particularly loved the central fountain. Other more prepared parents actually had their kids out there in swimsuits and water shoes; it really is a lot of fun for kids. However, as nice as it is, I have to agree with Sabrina about the lack of foresight in creating yet another outdoor mall in Reno. It's like the designers of these places think that Reno is no different from Vegas...don't they know what the weather is like here? Not only is the whole thing outdoors, but there are zero shady spots to escape the sun (including around the fountain, where parents have to suffer in the heat while their kids play) and zero overhangs to protect the walkways from snow and ice. That's just dumb. At least they have an enclosed pedestrian area, which puts it a step above Sierra Summit. read more

This is a nice, clean open-air outlet shopping center located just off Interstate 80. Cool landscaping, seating ares and fountains are showcased throughout the property. I was surprised to see quite a few stores - to name a few: Athletic gear - Adidas, Nike and Scheels. Kid-friendly brands - Carter's, OshKosh and Gymboree. Technology - Bose, Lowe's, and Best Buy, Fashion - Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, BCBG, Forever 21, Guess, Gap, Old Navy. and many more. read more

I love outlet malls - great brands for lower prices, what's not to love? I especially enjoy the ambiance of this outdoor mall, even though it can get pretty freezing during the winters. Since this is in Reno, and not a location like LA, there aren't a lot of high end stores and the selection of stores are limited here. I'd like a Kate Spade here. But, I come because of the Nike, Guess, Banana Republic, and Express factory stores. There is also a Target, Scheels, and a lot of accessible restaurants in the surrounding area, which is another perk. Unlike outlets in California, this place isn't crowded with a million Asian tourists 24/7 and endless lines which makes shopping much more enjoyable. The stores are also usually pretty organized and clean, making it easier to browse. Parking during Black Friday was a pain but usually isn't too bad. Overall, this outlet mall is on the smaller side but it's more enjoyable and less stressful than most outlets. read more

Came here before leaving Reno to do a little shopping. This place is alright, I guess. Nothing spectacular about it. I left empty handed. I prefer the Gilroy Outlets in Cali over this one where there's a better selection of stores and a few spots to grab a bite at. I must say that Legends has a really nice Forever 21. The outlet here also has an outdoor water fountain area and very pretty landscaping. There were a lot of kids running around in the water while their parents sat back and enjoyed their coffee. read more

This was the first time here .. and I'm a happy camper. I live in Napa, CA down the street from the outlets there, while this place has many many more selections .. I like that it was spread out .. tons of parking .. everywhere .. I feel the peeps and the somewhat confusing streets through the outlet, but seriously .. park somewhere and remember what store is around, or hit the panic button on your keyfob to find your car hahaha Definitely going to hit this place up again .. trying to beat traffic back to the Bay Area so I didn't spend the time I wanted there. read more

Legends at Sparks is really quite large. Very spacious. It's easy to locate of off freeway I80 at Exit 20. Parking is crazy. Be careful of all the cars coming in and out. Yikes! The current stores are very nice. Off Saks 5th, Tommy Hilfiger, GAP, BCBG, Final Cut, Banana Republic to name a few. They always have good sales going on every time I go there. Recently they opened a Best Buy across from the Legends. In the same lot there's a Target. and Olive Garden. read more

Just visited the newly opened stores couple of days ago. I am really excited to have a Saks off Fifth and other factory stores like Banana Republic and BCBG in Reno area. We needed another shopping option for this area, besides driving to Sac. I agree with previous posts that the layout of this mall is horrendous - useless roundabouts etc. And yes, an outdoor mall without plenty of overhangs in Reno seems idiotic. It was raining (in July) when I went and we were all drenched, certainly not excited about visiting in the winter. Overall those things won't keep me from going back though. read more

As far as malls go, this is a really good one. Easy to walk around, plenty of parking, and relatively easy to get in and out. Great selection of stores too. We were there on a Saturday and the place was hopping. We hit Adidas and a few other stores--great choices here. This mall blows the Summit out of the water. I don't get the complaining about the roundabouts. They are easy to navigate and make things much smoother than traffic lights. Roundabouts work all over the world, and the rules are easy! I also am sick of the complaining about the "outdoor malls" here. NO ONE builds indoor malls anymore because CUSTOMERS DO NOT WANT THEM. There is not a single new indoor mall being built ANYWHERE in the US. The outdoor mall is what people want. Any argument that its too hot/cold here is ridiculous. read more

I would give ZERO stars but it wont let me! I have only tried to shop at lane bryant a few times, their clothes never fit right. In May I bought 2 bathing suit tops online hoping they would fit right. First they showed that they where delivered but I didn't receive them, so I got online and the virtual assistant said it would refund my money, they Never did. Then a couple days later my order showed up in the neighbors mail. The items I ordered where not what was described on the web site. I decided to return them. Took them to the outlet store in Sparks and they tried to only give me back $2.97 on a $95.79 purchase. I was like um NO I paid $95.79 and while I may not get the $7 in shipping back $2.97 is no where close to what I paid for merchandise that is not what was described on their website. first they lady was saying I got over a hundred dollars in discounts, which I did not and even if I did it would not have any barring on what I get back when returning the Entire purchase. The lady couldn't figure out why and wasn't really even trying just kept saying she didn't know why the computer was only trying to give me $2.97. After 10 minutes of her not bothering to do anything to figure it out I said forget I'll deal with it later and left. Calling the company 800 # was no better. This is a HORRIBLE company. Their clothes suck, they are extremely over priced and their isn't a shit in the fucking place that will ever fit me regardless of my waist size as they don't fit my shoulders or arms, Their jeans are no better quality than what you can get at wal-mart and don't even last for more than a month or two. Will Never try to buy anything there again. FUCK Lane Bryant! read more

This is a great outdoor mall that is easy to navigate with tons of parking. Also for local history buffs they have sidewalk plaques that describe much of Nevada's key historical figures. But back to the shopping, there is a descent variety of stores anchored with Scheels Sporting Goods store and a nice IMAX theater. The Scheels store is worth the stop all by itself. With an indoor ferris wheel, massive aquariums, and unique wildlife display it offers plenty to do when you are done shopping. read more

I like this outlet, it has nice outdoor hang out spots, water shoots in the centralized shopping plaza during the summer. Kids look like they have a lot of fun during their play. In the winter, there's heaters spread out. People are usually circle around the located heated areas. There is a movie theater towards the end of the plaza, a park with a lake across the street. Target department store with a bunch of chain resturuants in the area as well. Great go to place to almost do it all. read more

I mean Forever 21 doesn't need to be any cheaper but it wasn't an outlet anyway, neither was Bath & Body Works or the shoe store. This place is basically a semi outlet mall with some cheap stores in between. There are some good stores where you can find cheap stuff like Michael Kors and Carters but honestly you can wait for the Gap and BR sales to buy the same stuff there.... minor discounts at other stores. Love these outlets for 2 unique reasons: Scheels and The Old Farmers Almanac General Store. I can spend all day in Scheels alone, there's so much to shop (I especially like sportswear and home goods) and see, including the infamous ferris wheel, aquarium, presidents, and animals. Scheels also has cafe dining, have yet to try it. The Old Farmers Almanac General Store reminds me of a old-fashioned blend of Williams Sonoma and Pier 1 diningware. It also features seasonal gifts; I bought Easter themed items on clearance. It is an outdoor shopping mall with sculptures, fire pits, water features, and plenty of benches and chairs. Generally peaceful, usually not much people traffic except in the movie theatre, IMAX to boot. Very good sound/music playing thanks to outdoor Bose speakers. Visit Mark Twain to see what he's reading. Some areas under construction, so look forward to new stores and restaurants at my next visit. read more
