Disappointed in The Outpost. We gave this restaurant several tries to get it right. Either the service was off, or it was the food. After camping, we decided to give it one last try. I ordered the BLT on sourdough bread, no lettuce and the "bacon almost burnt" The sandwich came on white bread (no biggie) with the bacon not at all crispy. Not seeing our waitress, I took the sandwich back to the counter and asked for the bacon to be cooked more. Aprox 2 minutes later, our waitress appeared with my BLT. The bacon was crispy, but you could tell that it had been sitting for a while. It was cold. The fries that were originally served with the sandwich were now lukewarm. Sorry Candy, we gave it many tries and were not satisfied. We won't be back. read more

Interesting division of reviews here as I write this, with some of them pretty unduly harsh, at least from my experience. This is, for lack of better description, your standard greasy spoon diner. Those generally are pretty solid for breakfasty stuff and maybe burgers and often a crapshoot for everything else...I don't regularly go to these places too much these days, but did for a while and you get a feel for these things after a number of visits. Maybe I was feeling rangy that day, but I decided to take a swing at a spicy crispy chicken sandwich, not expecting any real spice, but nothing else jumped out at me too much, either. The sandwich I got, while nice-sized and juicy, with an excellent bun, was not at all spicy and once I looked at the receipt after the fact, I understood why. The order wound up being for a regular crispy chicken sandwich, so maybe if I wind up here again at the right time, I'll try for the spicy one again. All in all, a very solid chicken sandwich, though I can't say it was quite worth the $14 for it and the salad. The salad, meanwhile, was not good at all. I don't understand the thing of putting raw onions on a salad and since it wasn't listed, didn't expect it, but definitely they were there and lots of them. Rather ruined the salad overall, but what little bits I was able to get to were not too impressive. Clearly, it's meant to be a throwaway side (come to think of it, the lettuce on the sandwich wasn't great shakes, either). Maybe watch out for things with lettuce if you go. They did have a nice Coke Zero on tap, which is always welcome, and staff was pretty nice, so very solid first time. read more

It's a good solid diner experience. The bacon cheeseburger was quite tasty - I did add avocado. My husband ordered a breakfast burrito and was pleased. The kiddos had spaghetti. It was just ok. Our service was great! Attentive service and someone also to make balloon animals for the kids! read more

Great food and great service. Consistently our goto restaurant when we don't want to cook at home.

We came in at noon on a Sunday, we had a party of 8. We ordered from the kids, breakfast and lunch menu. Everything came out hot and fresh. Everyone came to check on us and make sure all the food was satisfactory. The food was amazing, fast, and priced right! I will be back to try other items. No table was left dirty for more than a minute, the bathrooms were cleaner than most restaurants. read more

Great breakfast spot! Had the breakfast bowl and some french toast and it did not disappoint. Waitress was nice and friendly.

The owner Candi Hall is very rude and disrespectful towards over weight people , she degrades them about sitting in her booths. Also cockroaches are. Everywhere in that restaurant. The cooks go outside and smoke and do not wash there hands they are dirty and nasty. I do not recommend this place most the time the owner is drunk on the job supplying the minors with alcohol. read more

I don't know why I didn't listen to everyone who said stay away, but I gave the outpost a chance and was left wishing I had listened to everyone. We placed an order for pickup via phone call. The individual we talked to sounded like a 13 year old boy who was too distracted to listen to us order. Half the call was the individual saying, "What?" And "hey, what do I push?" The name on the order was Scott, and when they asked what again, we spelled it for them, but they wrote Sops. Either they don't have a child's burger or they didn't hear us say children's burger cause we got a regular sized burger for my 4 year old. My spicey chicken sandwich was worse than school cafeteria food. My side salad had rotting leaves in it. My other son's grilled cheese was 2 massive pieces of texas toast with 2 kraft singles melted in it. To make everything worse, the cost was massive for what we got. The staff is super friendly and attentive! The food is delicious and very filling Highly recommend!
