Club Sandwich with fries. Some of the best fries I've ever eaten.

We haven't been to Jim's in years. Since my husband and I go out to breakfast often, we decided to go somewhere new. The restaurant looked packed on a typical Sunday morning. Which would typically dissuade us from even going in. But I decided to check and to our delight, they seated us immediately! The restaurant has been remodeled since we were there last, it looks great. The only problem is the cement floors and partial open ceiling make it really loud. But the wait staff was good, even though they were busy and the food was incredible!! We'll definitely be back!!!

My family of six (including a two and a four-year-old) decided to have dinner at Jim's family restaurant in Riverton. The appearance was clean and well lit. We were seated immediately and our waitress introduced herself and took our drink orders right away. Her service was professional, friendly and polite. My Patty Melt was a classic, crisp sourdough toast and full of meat, onions and dressing. Our fries were extra crisp, just as we like them. The grandkids both had chicken tenders and fries, which they enjoyed. This is important because they will not eat dried out chicken or soggy fries. My wife had the Basso fish dinner that included a salad, soup, vegetables, and choice of potato. All of this was very good and nicely presented. Service was a bit slow, but to be fair she was covering a lot of tables and we had made a number of special requests to customize our meals. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I would certainly recommend Jim's as an excellent, reasonably priced family dinner spot.

Reviews Jim's The entrance of this place pushes customers away. You walk into a small lobby area where people check in and pay their bill but if you have a few groups waiting for their table it gets very crowded and like I said, pushes potential customers away. While we were waiting at least two groups walked in and right back out thinking it was too busy but in reality it was just people checking out. They would benefit from a redesign of the entrance. While they are at it, add a second register and some acoustic damping materials because that place is loud! We were taken care of by Shantae, she was great , super friendly and helpful. Huge shout out. The family ordered a variety of breakfast items which took about an hour from order to serve (it was pretty busy). 1. Country fried steak skillet - the potato's, peppers and mushrooms were on point! This was the best dish of the table. 2. Cowboy Jim's breakfast - the gravy is a bit bland but just add some hot sauce and/or salt. The use of sliced cheese is weird. The steak was really good! For sure recommend. 3. cakes and eggs (kids) - the strawberry syrup was great on the fluffy pancakes. 4. Strawberry smiley cake (kids) - pretty tasty, good strawberries. 5. Strawberry French toast - good, nice thick bread that held up to the syrup 6. Eggs Benedict - good and silky. 7. Country fried steak and eggs - enough to feed two people and tasty. Overall it was good, would come back but avoid the breakfast rush.

We had breakfast and lunch. Everyone enjoyed everything. My club sandwich was made with real roasted turkey and fresh lettuce. Our server was very nice, fast and friendly. The restaurant was not very busy so we got in and out in less than an hour.

This restaurant is being super careful about covid! A sign on the door says maskless people will be charged $1 and given a mask. They have a list of covid symptoms and ask that if you have any, you order takeout instead. They have a sign in sheet to aid in contact tracing. They're limiting group size. And all the tables are spaced out. My kids got the strawberry smiley cakes and loooooved them. They said Jim's is now in their top 5 restaurants. I feel like everything could use more seasoning- more salt on the potatoes, more flavor in eggs, more egginess and cinnamon in the French toast. But allll this food was only $20 so I'm cool with it :)

At our last visit, they were not full and it still took them almost a hour to serve our food. When the waitress finally brought our food she also brought our check. I absolutely HATE when waiters do that! It's like they are saying, "here is your food and see you next time because I'm not coming back to this table." Well, sometimes I like to order extra fries, dessert or even a soda refill. As we were expecting she did not come back to bring the pancake syrup and I had to track her down to ask for it. She took her sweet time to bring the syrup. Not even once during the visit did she ask if we needed something. I would have thought that with all the Covid restrictions and people not going to eat out as much, restaurants would take good care of their clients that visit them. Sadly after our last two bad experiences at this location, we are not going back.

What an amazing place to have breakfast. Been to three different Jim's restaurant and it is always the same. Good service and good food is hard to find. Can't go wrong here with food. I enjoy it every time. Thank you!

Great breakfast with lots of hometown cooking feel. We had super nice service, hot coffee, jumbo cinnamon rolls, An avacado bacon and cheese omelette. I would recommend even sharing a few things because the portions are very generous. They were awesome with keeping my coffee filled and checking to make sure we were comfortable. I highly recommend stopping for a bite to eat.

The food was so bad that my hairline has started to recede so it can be as far away from a Jim's restaurant as possible.

They all were so good that we couldn't agree on a favorite. Breakfast burrito and ube pancakes for mains. The burrito was STUFFED with delicious chorizo, cheese, egg, and veggies. Wrapped in a super large tortilla then grilled for crispy exterior. Served with a fantastic salsa with hints chipotle heat. Great flavor but not so much that it buries the flavor. The ube pancakes were also incredible. Four large, lightly crisped cakes topped with ube whipped cream, blueberries, blueberry syrup drizzle, and a mint sprig. First bite was so good that I didn't talk for at least five minutes, so I could shovel in more and more. They came with a side of syrup, but it was definitely not needed. I'll certainly be back to try more menu items, but it'll be hard to resist temptation of the burrito. I tried the meat on both the birria hash and carnitas hash and I'd have to say I prefer the carnitas over the birria! Because it was Father's Day they also sent the dads away with a bottle of root beer, which I thought was fun. I would definitely recommend and will also go again and try something new. We did end up getting there around 9:30, which was great timing. When we were leaving there were a lot of people waiting around for their table.

Every dish that came to our table looked like it belonged in a magazine, but the best part was that the food tasted just as incredible as it looked. We started with the Eggs Benedict, which featured perfectly poached eggs, flavorful rosemary ham, rich hollandaise, and crispy potatoes. The Funky Monkey French Toast was over-the-top in the best possible way, loaded with Nutella, bananas, berries, roasted peanuts, and real maple syrup. The double cheeseburger was juicy, packed with flavor, and paired perfectly with crispy fries. We also loved the Beet & Strawberry Panzanella, which balanced sweet strawberries, earthy beets, creamy whipped goat cheese, crunchy pecans, and fresh mint for a refreshing combination. The biggest surprise of the meal was the beignets. Warm, fluffy, and generously dusted with powdered sugar, they were easily one of the best we've ever had. While there were some things we enjoyed, the overall experience didn't quite justify the price. First, the restaurant is beautiful. The décor is modern, stylish, and very Instagram-worthy. It's easily one of the nicest-looking brunch spots I've visited in Utah. Unfortunately, the dining room feels overcrowded. The tables are placed extremely close together, making it difficult to have a private conversation. We often had to raise our voices just to hear each other, and even the servers seemed to struggle moving between tables. The atmosphere looked great, but it didn't feel very comfortable. The service was polite and friendly, but one thing bothered me. Shortly after we finished our main dishes, the check was brought to the table. We hadn't asked for it, and it made us feel a bit rushed, as if it was time to leave even though we were still talking with our friends. It's a small detail, but it affects the overall dining experience. For drinks, I ordered a piña colada, and unfortunately it was disappointing. It tasted overly diluted, with very little pineapple flavor, while the rum stood out much more than it should have. I also ordered the Vital Boost juice. The flavor was actually good, but it was served at room temperature, which wasn't what I expected from a fresh juice. For my meal, I ordered the breakfast burrito. It tasted good, but I couldn't justify the $20 price tag. It consisted of a thin tortilla filled with eggs, bacon, cheese, and potatoes, served with shredded potatoes and a small side salad. While everything was cooked properly, the ingredients felt simple, and the portion didn't match the price. I've had larger and more satisfying meals elsewhere for the same cost. My girlfriend ordered the birria tacos. They were decent but nothing memorable. We've had better birria at other restaurants. The consommé was much spicier than expected, and while some people may enjoy that, it wasn't our preference. The tortillas were also average. On the positive side, the lemonade was refreshing. I should also mention that Mexican food isn't usually my favorite cuisine, so I know my preferences may differ from those of other diners. Still, I always evaluate a restaurant based on the balance between quality, value, flavor, and the overall experience. In this case, I felt the food was good but not exceptional enough to justify the prices. La Condesa is definitely worth visiting if you're looking for a beautiful brunch spot with a trendy atmosphere. However, between the cramped seating, the value for the money, a few disappointing dishes, and feeling rushed at the end of the meal, the overall experience fell short of my expectations. I don't regret trying it, but it isn't a place I'd personally choose to revisit anytime soon.

The crowd here feels very local, which I always take as a good sign. The vibe is casual and unpretentious. Staff was friendly, though not particularly attentive, something to keep in mind if you are in a hurry. Now, the pancakes. I went with the apple pancakes, and the moment they hit the table, the smell alone almost sold me. Warm cinnamon, sweet apple, the whole thing. They arrive as a generous stack and they are beautiful. That said, they are extremely sweet, more dessert than breakfast if I am being honest. If you have a serious sweet tooth, you will be in heaven. If you are like me and prefer something more balanced, just know what you are getting into. The menu description does not fully prepare you for the sugar level. Here is a tip: share a combo. Pairing the pancakes with eggs and bacon or sausage cuts through the sweetness and gives you a much more complete meal. I asked for crispy bacon and they nailed it, which honestly earns some serious points in my book. Portions are large and prices are fair for what you get. Best value is definitely in the combo options, even better if you share. The wait list is worth joining as you get close, just as a precaution on busier mornings. Three stars. A dependable, no-frills breakfast spot that does what it sets out to do. Not trying to reinvent the wheel, and it does not need to.
