    Mom and Pop breakfast place.

From the service to the vibe and the generous portion of food, Ogie's breakfast was delicious. The bacon and ham were especially tasty. Mainly locals and a packed crowd for Saturday breakfast but food came out hot in under 10.

I've been eating here for years but it's been a while since my last visit. A coworker and I decided to try the French dip. It was super meaty and came with a good amount of fries. The fries were the fresh cut variety and dripping, soaked in oil. I couldn't finish them because it was just too much grease. Service was interesting. The guy that took our drink order was super friendly. Another employee I asked a question of was just miserable. The interior is pretty grimy. The carpet should be cleaned or just all together removed. I'll still visit when I am in the mood for some comfort food.

I've had this placed booked marked. We were doing a volunteer service with our friends and they said he let's go! So it was perfect. Walked in on a Friday late morning 11am. Got seated right away. It was still packed out despite the time and being sat down quickly. We got menus coffee, juice, hot chocolate. They have different creamers if you ask for it. Hazelnut/ vanilla Coffee was meh tasted watered down. wish the coffee was better. They do come by often to fill your cup up. But I hate when it tastes like water. I notice a lot of breakfast places in Utah have weak coffee. We sat for about 15-20 months before the waitress coming to take our order. Yikes! didn't even know who our waitress was. Maybe they were short staffed, I ordered simple eggs bacon hash-brown and sourdough toast My husband ordered a burrito. The food took another 20 min or more. Kinda of surprising for breakfast since usually easier to cook and no one had any crazy meals like pancakes or French toast. I enjoyed my meal. The sourdough toast was not sourdough to me. Maybe she grabbed white bread instead? The bacon was thick and good. Hash-browns were crispy on the outside. I had over easy eggs my husband really liked his breakfast burrito,- enough for left overs! It was huge! One thing was like ugh really. the waitress came to refill our coffee and it spilled a little on the table and she said oh sorry and tried to use her hand to clean it! I couldn't help but to laugh and my friend immediately grabbed a napkin to wipe it. Another table behind us had asked about their kids food and the waitress said I'm sorry I'm not cooking but it's coming. The table was waiting a long time sounded like. Our friends who come regularly said it never takes long to order or get your food. Again maybe it was short staffed. People kept coming and even take out orders were constantly being picked up, I would come back.

Country Ham with hash browns, and three eggs over easy. Pancake.

Love a breakfast place with some great service and speed. Place was packed and popping! It's a well oiled machine. I'd never been here before and ordered the center cut country ham. When the waitress sat the plate down I said "holy moly!!!" My hand is in the pic for a size reference (I can palm a basketball). Largest hunk of ham I've ever had... and I admit I couldn't finish it. Each and every bite was delicious.

We went to Oggie's for breakfast and it was packed--with a small wait time, but definitely worth it! The servers were attentive and efficient, keeping coffee and drinks flowing non-stop. I had the Country Breakfast and my husband ordered the Corned Beef Plate. Both were delicious, but the standout for me was the biscuits with gravy--so good! Portions were generous, and the whole experience felt warm and welcoming.

Big portions!! Went here for brunch and we were glad they had both breakfast, lunch and mexican options. I got the country fried steak and my friend got the quesadilla. we were so shocked by such big portions for the price. it was busy inside and have very homey vibes. very kind workers and the inside is cute.

    Ogie's special

Not a whole lot I can add here that hasn't already been said. Ogie's is a WVC and Utah institution. The interior doesn't try to impress in the way that no great diner does. The food and history speaks for itself. Ogie's isn't purely nostalgia driven either - their food is several steps above decent diner fare. The special burrito is a classic but this time I went with the Ogie's special. I'm glad I did because their bacon really is something special. Like I have many times before, I'll be back eventually. Hopefully soon.

Time to add to the stack of reviews on why I come here practically every other day at 6:00 AM. First, it's local. That's right, it's not a chain. Not even a local franchise. This is it. Ogie's one and only. The servers and the cooks have been there for decades. The patrons that go are loyal. You'll often see the servers sit down and converse with the customers. It's friendly and welcoming. And zero pressure to vacate a table even when it becomes extremely busy. Secondly, the food service. All drinks are practically unlimited refills. You want a second large cup of OJ to go? Here, have one. Coffee until you're wide wake? Another one on the house. Don't want hash? Substitute it with fruits. Don't want the buttery toast or pancake? Get another egg. Want more bacon? Ask. Ogie's is West Valley City's best breakfast. Skip IHOP, Denny's, and Dee's. Here, you actually feel like family.

    Chicken fried steak and eggs
    Kristy R.

Omg... what a place for chicken fried steak. Hand breaded and very delicious. Should not have eaten it all but I couldn't help myself. Eggs cooked well, the only issue is they must use oil to cook the hash browns in as they had a greasy taste that made them off putting. Still very good and will be back for sure. Probably won't get the hash browns. Coffee was very good and the gentleman that went around serving it was very attentive.

Ogies is a great breakfast place! Super quick service considering how packed it gets. Prices are cheap and the food is good! Definitely recommend this little diner! They have lunch options as well if you don't want your typical breakfast items! I got the biscuit and gravy and it was delicious! Very good portion size as well!

This has to be the most mid breakfast place I have ever been to, please pass and go somewhere else. Bacon undercooked and bland food.

Kayley was patient with us a we were waiting. After our last part of our party showed up, we got food started, drinks topped off and hung out while food was being prepared. For breakfast today I got the Old Timers breakfast. And boy it looked great! My eggs were cooked perfectly, over medium. My bacon was nice and crispy. My hashbrowns were golden brown but on the colder side. It would have been not to have them on the warmer side. I was given two biscuits and a huge helping of country gravy. My favorite will always be country gravy on top of my hashbrowns. After breakfast we went and checked out the gift shop. I love all the Christmas decor everywhere. I appreciate that they have a little bit of everything here. I bought my husband a really nice camo sweatshirt and I got a nice U of U sweatshirt as a souvenir. You can never go wrong with Cracker Barrel. Food is always consistent and the gist shop is always fun to check out. Kayley food a great job taking care of us today. It was a great time at Cracker Barrel today.
