    BLT
    Grayson C.

I've been Wednesday nights for trivia several times. The food was pretty quick the first time or two, but now that the terrace is open the wait for food is terribly long. It's good food though, the BLT I got was great when it did arrive. They have rules about team sizes for trivia, but it doesn't seem like they enforce it. It was a little silly to lose to a team with 12 people. I still think you should get points for being the first to answer, but maybe that's just because my team is quick haha. Solid spot, but sticky tables and leaves a little to be desired.

The best part of this place was the rooftop. They have typical bar-food/menu. They only take cash so come prepared. I had the steak philly. The sandwich was really yum. I wish having fries was an option instead of chips. This place is a cool ambiance and fun. I would not call this a destination for food but more the experience.

Great local bar with local beers. This was the only place we found with a roof top setting. Unfortunately, it doesn't provide a view of the temples but you get a glimpse of the mountains and will catch the sunset. Big dog beers, 32 oz, seem to be the go to choice. The burgers are good and grilled right there on the rooftop. The grilled is a great guy! Staff is friendly, busy and efficient. There is a awesome pool hall downstairs.

Turkey avocado sandwich is delicious! Sitting up on the deck in the summer is fun, even if you aren't drinking, it's a fun atmosphere!

Love the Owl! We frequent there often, usually 3 to 6 times a month. The food is on point and the beer is frosty and cold!

Nothing beats the burger big dog combo on the deck with a couple jalopeno pickles and a bag of chips.

The restaurant is long with a large bar and tables as well as some areas with couches and chairs, which gave a chill and relaxing vibe. We started off with drinks and appetizers! We ordered the spicy cheese curds (not spicy) and garlic parmesan fries. Both were yummy and the best part of the meal for me. The fries came with ranch and their house-made "Utah fry sauce"! And if you are from Utah, you will get the fry sauce thing. It's a staple and a must with eating fries in my opinion! Then we ordered dinner. My hubby and I shared the steak and mushrooms, and my bestie and her hubby ordered the buffalo chicken sliders and the spaghetti. The mushrooms with our dinner were huge and so good! Everything tasted really good and fresh, and we were all very pleased! Definitely check them out if you're in the area!

As a SL Valley resident, these prices for craft cocktails blew me away. I tried the maple Old Fashioned (with regular bitters due to a walnut allergy, which they happily accommodated), the Rye Smash, as well as a shot, and a beer. I got out for under $40, which is a great price. We sat at the bar and talked for hours. The bartender wasn't pushy or bothered by our long stay. They did a good job with the ambiance of the place. This is pretty standard for Salt Lake, but unseen up north in Logan. Well done. I will be sure to come back to this spot whenever work brings me up to Cache.

But my wife's Seared Salmon ($21) was perfectly cooked--still translucent inside--and seemed a far better value of quality for cost than my pasta. My son went for the Red Chimichurri Flank Steak ($28) that was also delicious and prepared really well. But the $4 cup of add-on Lobster Bisque tasted more like assorted shellfish trimmings-- not inedible but not amazing either. The vanilla bean vinaigrette on the Summer Berry Salad ($14) was a pleasant surprise hit with my son's partner, but her $12 add-on of Blackened Salmon for it was unmasterfully overcooked for the thinner portion cut. Overall a poorer value for $26 compared with the Seared Salmon plate (a narrower, thicker portion). Elements is probably a better meal choice for the $30-40/person base range of their menu offerings-- and will obviously push higher with alcohol service. (The $15 Empress gin and Chambord Bartender's Roulette cocktail we ordered was pretty well prepared.) Perhaps even better a destination when the elements of weather suit sitting outside near the river overlook -- would help make up for zero table bread service offered; very odd for a "near fine dining" restaurant and menu. Otherwise on a rainy autumn evening, our tight-quartered, bouncy bistro booth was adequate but not great ambiance. 3.5-4 stars
