This review is for the people in the great white Northern part of Utah. Anyone who has ever been to Logan and its surrounding cities know there's not much to do up there, so if anyone needs a nightlife review, it's them. So, if you find yourself near Utah State University with nothing to do but farm some land or attend a frat party (which have a history of being deadly) try The White Owl out as a worthy alternative. The White Owl is one of Logan's oldest taverns, and brings with it a great environment. It has a patio open in the spring and summer months, as well as a large selection of billiards tables and a great selection of food from their kitchen. They also have 3 large rooms full of tables and chairs to accommodate everyone in Cache County looking to get their drink on. Located in the heart of town at the intersection of Center and Main (which is how you know Logan is still a small town at heart), the Owl is sure to please. First, since the Owl is a Tavern the drink selections are limited to beer and wine, but don't let that turn you off. The Owl has a large selection of bottles and drafts, and their "Big Dog" mugs give patrons 32 full ounces of delicious frothy brew sure to stave off any thirst. Add in a burger and some fresh air on their patio, and The White Owl is summer relaxation at its finest. The best part about the burgers is that they cook them right in front of you on a grill on the patio. You literally get the burger placed on your bun directly from the grill, and then have a full condiment table to dress it up (be careful, those pickle wedges are soaking in jalapeno juice, so they have some kick to them!). The White Owl is a great place to start the night, grab some food, and just hang out with friends or mingle with the locals. It's a place you don't ever have to leave, nor will you want to. My advice is to get there before the kitchen closes so you can grab a burger on the patio, and when the sun goes down brush up on your billiard skills, because The White Owl is waiting for you, and you're not going to want to miss out on this. Can you say trashy? Beer is good. Big dogs are awesome. But if your not a regular they treat you like crap. Bartender is rude. Waitress are rude and impatient. Sorry ladies your paid to take people's orders and hey you applied for the job. In general place is horrible. Food isn't even good! I was told they have the best this and thst. Hahaha...no. Exactly as it ought to be. The burger and huge beer special is one of Logan's few redeeming qualities. You can sit and eat something and drink some decent beer and watch a baseball game and nobody will bother you. I would give 5* but that would make it a different kind of place. Ohhhh, the White Owl. The common haunt of many a folk, a dive bar through and through. Burger and big dogs get me through my undergrad, and the deck manages to calm even though most lacking of summer days. Well, we don't have a lot to choose from for bars in Logan, but The White Owl does a pretty good job of delivering. Food options (even veggie) are good, and represent typical bar food. The White Owl especially shines during Spring, Fall, and Summer - sitting on the patio with a cold one and a big @ss salad - yep, that's nice. Please note, at some point it's indicated on the Yelp wall that they accept plastic - nope, cash and checks. Good news is there's an ATM close by if you find yourself in a jam. read more

We went here, because we were told it has the best burgers in town. We drink, but all they had was beer and cheap crap that was over priced. I do not care for miller's or bud light. Went to the top deck, because I was told it was a great area to eat at. Well the place has lawn chairs to eat in and a large bbq. They take their FROZEN patties and cook them, but then its up to you get the bun and put on toppings. The waiters/waitresses were rude. We went downstairs because there was no seating and no one planned on moving even though they were done with eating and drinking. (Waiting 15-20 minutes and no one moved.) There was no place to sit upstairs to wait either. We been to plenty of bars and like I said all they have is cheap bear, but they don't even have flat panel tv's they are the 10-20 year non-hd tv's. The place needs to be upgraded and it is very run down. Go to the Bee Hive Grill down the street! They make their own food, and their own Beer! Plus have other drinks. Great little place. Hadn't been there in a very long time and its grown substantially from the smoke filled pool hall of the mid 1970's. Nice selection of beers and great service. We ordered a cobb salad and some wings. Both were very good. Recommend getting the sauce on the side for the wings. The bartender asked but we chose to get the sauce on the wings. Our mistake, they were pretty much swimming. The mid sauce was plenty hot. Highly recommend. If we lived here, we'd frequent it often. Very reasonable prices. read more

Turkey avocado sandwich is delicious! Sitting up on the deck in the summer is fun, even if you aren't drinking, it's a fun atmosphere!

BEER ONLY, CASH ONLY! First impression: a typical Wyoming bar - there are a few game-heads on the wall, and some locals sitting at the bar no matter the time of day - but with a lot of seating. We tried out the white owl after hearing lots of hype. I loved sitting on the roof and the great view. The burger was one of the best I've had in Logan, and I love that you get to dress it the way you want, and select your bun and everything. The veggie basket was delicious as well. Downside would be that you have to pay in advance, in cash, which we didn't know, so we had to use the ATM downstairs, which charged us a fee, so make sure you take cash with you. The only other semi complaint was the tables are really close together and everyone at the table next to us was smoking, so we sat in a cloud of smoke the whole time while eating. Which I can't really complain too much about, because it's a bar, but it was just a LOT at once. We will for sure be back though, we were very impressed with the food and service! read more
