There are two sides - the bar side and a side with lots of seating. The bar side has seating as well but minimal. We sat on the side with all the seating at a long high top. The chairs had backs so it was very comfortable. They have lots of choices on the menu - I chose the Lemon Herb Ravioli, which sounded light and amazing. Unfortunately, it is swimming in a lemon-y olive oil which ruins the dish completely. If they just drizzled the lemon oil over the pasta, it would be a chef's kiss. I would recommend asking for that on the side - then you can control how much you want on the dish. I also got their "tots" on the side. These aren't your typical tator tots...they are homemade shredded potatoes scooped and fried. My cousin got the same items and when the tots came, it appeared they overly fried one of the orders so just split them up between our two orders. I ate the good ones and my husband sent back the bad ones to have them replaced. They did so without any question, which was nice. My husband had the Gouda Burger with Truffle Fries. He said it was the best burger he'd ever had. The truffle fries were excellent - served with garlic aioli. Highly recommend! So, while my dish was disappointing due to the amount of oil it was swimming in, the pasta and vegees on top tasted good, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and everyone else liked their meals (burgers and fish & chips) so I'm not going to give them a low rating. I'd like to come back and try something different on the menu.

He even wished my mom a happy Mother's Day before taking our order, which was a nice touch. We started with the Street Corn Nachos as an appetizer, then ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a grilled portobello mushroom sandwich, both with fries on the side (an additional $4 each). This was an excellent place to bring my mom since she's vegetarian, and the restaurant had plenty of vegetarian-friendly options. The food was excellent, especially the nachos -- the queso was amazing. The restaurant also gives you a lot of customization options, like swapping chips for fries for an extra $4 or adding protein to the nachos for an additional charge. That said, while the nachos were really good, they were still $18 without any protein, which honestly felt overpriced for chips, cheese, and vegetables. We came during lunch service, and overall the food, service, and view made for a great experience. However, it is definitely on the expensive side. Most entrees seemed to range from around $20-30. Still, if you're willing to spend a little more for quality food, generous portions, and a great atmosphere, it's definitely worth visiting.

We worried that we might be under dressed, casually in jeans and tanks. Yelp said this place was great. It was. We dined with 3 kids who all jammed out on the kids meals, spaghetti with homemade noodles, hand breaded chicken tenders and pizza that was SO good. Adults had salmon x2, scallop risotto, eggplant Parm and the almond crusted halibut. Everything was amazing, we were passing forks around like covid never happened. The clam chowder, Devine. I am so impressed. First time in , likely won't be in the area without stopping back. Our service was PHENOMENAL and our waitress knew the menu, made great recommendations and was amazing. The bread was soaked in what I assume was maybe garlic butter but it tasted like it was from a popcorn machine. Everyone ordered something different and the consensus was everything was sub par except for the lasagna. Perch was filled with bones, pizza was super oily and saturated from the pan it was on, shrimp was just okay. We were really excited to try this place but probably won't be back. Give it a chance if you're in the mood for pasta, I suppose.

Came in on a Monday night as we just pulled up into town after traveling for work and I needed Spanish Rice and carbs. After being seated the server gave us the menu and specials and the specials caught my eye as they had Fried Shrimp Tacos with a side of Spanish Rice. I didn't want to be too full so I thought it was going to be a good size. I was wrong their portions here are generous! 3 Tacos with 2 large shrimps inside and I couldn't finish the last one. ( I did take the shrimp and rice to go for a snack later) We also got guac and chips and it was nicely mashed, would def get again. Honestly will probably go before I leave the area. Hospitality and vibes were definitely there, you could see regulars come in and chatting it up with other diners and with the server. Really enjoy this interaction and this close nit community.

It's a fairly loud restaurant but it goes with the mood. Family friendly with the ability to seat large parties. The team that works here are personable and happy to be at your service. Our server tonight was no different. We were seated promptly (we did make reservations because we weren't sure how busy it might be and there were 7 of us) and our server took our drink order right away. Their margaritas are excellent - get the raspberry one (frozen) with sugar on the rim - you won't be sorry! I had the ground beef Chimichanga. It's served with cheese sauce over it with refried beans, guacamole, lettuce, sour cream, and rice on the side. It's slightly spicy but not too hot. A very filling meal. We stay in a neighboring town and come to Alpena for dinner once a month and Mango's is one we enjoy returning to.

This IMO is a sign of a establishment that wants to insure their patrons are happy and enjoying their experience. We would definitely recommend giving them a try when in Cheboygan or the area.

The patrons and staff have since then been overly patient, kind, helpful, honest, caring and mostly welcoming in nature. The thing is, with experience that is, it is that your certain experiences of whatever you may have ever gone through or had fun with or whatever may have stressed you out at some time or another, is incomparable to the fact that sometimes, someone may just have a bad day. I otherwise have seen the truth of the patron established best bar in Alpena Michigan, and it leads to a bountiful night of fun. They have pool, or what yall like me, the nerds, call billiards, they got darts and I dare you to count how many pennies are in the floor. The drinks are spot on, the staff is usually quite responsive and the patrons tend to like to have fun more than other locations that are similar or like Barilik's... Although, This place is my #2 spot that I've ever been to for this type of atmosphere. Right behind it is JJ's and behind them are Bogarts.
