    Seafood Melt (special)
    Billy T.

Eggleston the town seems to be a nice, quiet town. On the outside, the Palisades looks like a small, homey restaurant that seats maybe 15. On the inside, however, there's a ton going on. The parking situation is interesting - it's next to the restaurant but very sloped and not the easiest to manage. However, when I arrived and entered the restaurant, the energy was the opposite of the town of Eggleston itself. There were tons of people and it seemed to be very fast-paced. The food itself was good. I ordered the supreme pizza, which surprisingly had an option for vegan cheese. I asked what kind of vegan cheese it was, and turns out they don't use a cheap brand like Daiya or Follow Your Heart. The pizza was wonderful - seasoned well and the cheese was not differentiable from dairy cheese. On the other hand, the seafood melt was just average. It tasted good, but the sauce was too runny and cost a lot. Overall, I had a good experience here. The only reason I'm not handing the five out is because of the seafood pasta, which I expected to be better, especially given the price point.

Love this place! Great fun menu and delicious food. Great service and vibes too. Definitely a favorite for the area.

Great food and atmosphere. Broccolini was cooked just right and the Lamb was also delicious. I prefer grilled over pan fried though. Hostess was very knowledgeable about the dishes and specials for the day. Waitress also checked on us a few times before the main course came out.

From the food to the drinks to the service, every single detail is outstanding. On my first visit, I tried the fried green tomatoes, the famous chicken & waffle nachos, and the Bleu Monday burger with sweet potato fries each dish was so good that I found myself planning my return before I even left. Sure enough, the next day I was back and had the ridiculously delicious smoked Gouda shrimp mac, maple bacon Brussels sprouts, fire-roasted tomato soup with grilled cheese, and the chimmied fries. Absolutely phenomenal. The fried green tomatoes have officially become my standard nobody else compares now. The Samurai Jack salad so fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable. The drinks deserve their own spotlight. The Breakfast Club with a Sidecar is a must try, and the Basilto All Flavors series (strawberry, blackberry, blueberry) is out of this world, blueberry was my personal favorite. Creative, refreshing, and perfectly crafted. The RailYard is the kind of place that makes you excited to come back again and again. The vibe is cool, the staff/manager Brad is friendly and attentive, and the food is truly next level. Whether you're a student at Bluefield State or just passing through town, this place is an absolute must. The RailYard sets the bar high for food, drinks, and atmosphere in West Virginia. Worth every single visit and then some.

The beer was solid and we drink a lot of beer. We didn't want to get too full so we ordered 3 appetizers and all of them were AWESOME. Not kidding. My husband was very satisfied. We got the Tenderloin Crostinis, Spinach and artichoke dip with chips, and peel and eat shrimp that was cook in their own beer. So. Freaking. Good. As for beer, I got the No. 4 Porter (loved it) and my husband got the 1/2 Shot IPA (loved it). Service was great. Our waitress was very sweet. As it's winter, we didn't get a chance to enjoy the back patio but the inside was very cozy. We sat in a booth and it was nice and secluded. You can even see into the room where the magic happens! Bulls & Bones: Burgers, BBQ & Brewpub has a lot of "B" alliteration going on. I felt like a steak when I visited, so I went for it. I got the USDA Angus Sirloin, which comes with two sides (I chose steamed broccoli and fries). The steak and sides were good and simple, which was just what I was feeling like that night. I visited Bull & Bones with a group of people, and we ordered a few appetizers to share, so I got to taste some things on the menu. First of all, we got complimentary potato chips for the table. Sweet! We also ordered the fried pickles (not my thing, but people were going off on them). Also, we got two orders of the wings: one was boneless wings with buffalo sauce, and the other was regular bone-in wings with Caroline Gold sauce. My favorite were the wings with Carolina Gold sauce, because of the flavor. They were so savory and slightly sweet. For dessert, we got the warm cookie with two scoops of ice cream (yum!) and the blueberry lemon cake, which didn't look like much but tasted amazing. A little bit of dessert goes a long way, and I think you could get away with sharing a dessert, for sure. The ambiance at Bulls & Bones is casual.
