JW Kennel was great. They were a huge help with a last min need to kennel our dog. The staff was great. Only reason for the 4 not 5 star is the facility/lack of outside space for the dogs. Staff: 10/10 staff was extremely caring and helpful. Price: $ probably the best price in town. Dog runs: 6/10 some of the runs need some love/updating. There is also no option for outside time for dogs. Our dog is a high energy runner and needs the outside time. Responsiveness: 10/10 call or text back fast Overall 9/10. Would highly recommend of your dog/s don't need a lot of outside time to burn energy. Staff is awesome and price is more than fair. read more

So I have never placed my dog in a kennel that I didn't own. Nor have I ever left her with anyone who isn't family. This time I was in a bind and needed to place her somewhere with someone trustworthy. I found JW Kennels here on yelp and Jennifer was super responsive and right on point. She answered my questions and made it easy for me to drop my best friend off and feel comfortable. I scheduled the night before and dropped off in the morning. Alex was the one to help me through the drop off and pick up process and I must say again he mad me feel comfortable and it was a smooth process. I am a military combat veteran and I don't trust to many people but I would absolutely work with Jennifer and Alex again with out a doubt. Thanks you guys for being, kind, honest, & flexible people. I have taken my two little fur babies to get groomed and to stay and the owners and groomer Diane are very accommodating and nice. I love the set up indoor and outdoor setting for my fur babies and the fact that they can stay in the same kennel. I definitely recommend both the grooming and the boarding here. Diane was so patient with my little fur baby who is very anxious and overprotective and did not get scared away unlike the groomers when I took her to Pets Mart which I can understand. read more

I was going out of town for 2 nights and needed someone to watch my dogs. I was having a hard time finding a spot due to kennels being full and policies so i didn't think i would find a place. I came across JW kennel and Jennifer made my search so easy, she responds quickly and have great prices. This was my first time leaving my puppies, so i was nervous but after speaking with Jennifer and meeting Diane it made me feel comfortable, so i left my two puppies. The owner, Jennifer is extremely rude. Each time I talked to her for drop off and pick up, she had a very nasty attitude, and spoke like I was bothering her by calling. I never even saw her in person(good thing), because only her son came out for both the drop off and pick up. He was pleasant. Also, what made me go with them in the first place is the woman who initially helped me, Diane. She was awesome, great customer service, and very knowledgeable. I paid for a week of boarding for my dog, the pricing was fair, but I won't use them again because of the horrible customer service from the owner. Shame because I work with so many people who inquired how the boarding went, and I did not refer any of them. read more

I'm giving an honest updated review so people are aware of the possible situation like what I went through. So I made an appointment two weeks in advance for 9am. My parents took them exactly on time and my dad said the lady groomer told him to come pick them up at 2pm. I questioned if he was sure. Because they never took more than three hours in the past both here AND everywhere else. Angelina's sometimes takes just two hours. About an hour after, I get a phone call from the groomer, there are alot of dogs so that they will be done at 3pm. I don't know.. I thought it was taking too long but assumed it would be okay. So I get there five minutes before three because I was concerned of my two toy poodles. They are like babies to me. But she was still working on one of them, in fact, she wasnt completely done with the other one too. Nevertheless, I just waited trying to understand her situation. So I leave there with my two babies thirty minutes after three. I get home, and my entire family noticed that two of my poodles didn't eat, drink, never got out of their crate looking very depressed. My parents almost called to ask what happened today. But I just said, we just don't take them there anymore. The next day, I rescued a dog and I told the person from the shelter about my two toy poodles how they've been depressed. And he said, "there is no way it takes more than two, three hours for your little toy poodles to get groomed." After hearing a 3rd person's opinion, I realized my parents and I weren't overreacting. I don't know... They were there for six hours? Where there is alot of noise going on especially because of blow drying, dogs barking and everything. I strongly don't recommend this place especially for the dogs that don't like to be in crate for a long time like this. read more

This kennel came recommended to us from a friend and I am glad to have found them! Dropped off two of our dogs for a "test" night before leaving on a long trip and all went very well. Dogs really stunk after just one night there but I think that is normal and they do offer bathing services. We then dropped them off when going on a ten day vacation. I thought they would stink to high heaven but NO, they had to have bathed them because they didn't even need a bath. They doggies seemed VERY happy here and I know they let them out to play at no extra cost like some kennels. I really can't say enough great stuff about this kennel. And to top it off they are VERY reasonably priced!!!! Staff is great and very flexible with drop off/pick up times. read more

One of the best dog kennel experiences that I have ever had! They are always flexible for drop-off & pick-up times... even last minute ones because the owner's (Jennifer) house is conveniently located right next to the kennels. Even after normal business hours, you can always reach one of the workers either by calling the cell phone # posted on the bulletin board outside, or by just walking over and knocking on the front door of the owner's house. My dog always seems happy when I pick him up, and when I drop him off here. Last but not least, they have the absolute best price in the AV that I've found so far! read more

I was very happy with JW kennels. It is a smaller place with a family atmosphere. Prices are very resonable. My boys looked very clean and healthy when I pucked them up. I had them bathed and they did a great job. After hours contaxt number makes you feel more at ease. I would highly reccomend it. read more

I had used Ken Niell twice before trying JW Kennels, since Ken Niell was booked, I called JW. They are more laid back and have a family environment going on which I liked. Dropping off happens a little later in the morning but picking up is more flexible which I appreciate, you just have to call them since I've experience Sunday and Monday's no one seems to be in the main office. My dog seemed to like it there and ate all her food. I will be using them again and they are located right behind the Cinemark at the mall, which is not as far to me as the other kennel. read more

From the moment we got there we felt very welcomed. You can feel the love for animals here. They had plenty of help. Friendly kids greeted us and our babies to help carry in our dogs bedding. Our dogs seemed relaxed when dropping them off and were very excited to see us when we picked them up. Again, upon leaving, they helped us carry our stuff back to the car and walked us out.
