We met the owner, Emily, and she was the sweetest--you could truly see her passion for what she does! She highly recommended the gluten-free sourdough, which is made by her friend in New Orleans. As someone who is gluten-sensitive, I'm usually cautious about gluten-free bread. However, it was amazing!!! I ordered the Farmhouse Fresh Plate, which was simple but delicious. My boyfriend tried the Blackened Chicken Caesar Wrap with a gluten-free tortilla, and it was also great! Greenville, SC is a town that encourages supporting local and the reason why I like to write reviews. This cafe embodies the meaning of supporting local with attention to detail and interesting menu. The menu as shown rotates every 2 weeks with a few items swapped out each time. The rotating menu also includes a seasonal drink menu and a soup of the day. The prices itself are similar to other downtown take-out options ($10-20 food | $4-7 coffee). The food itself it's simply great. Emily's has a way of making your standard breakfast/lunch items with quality ingredients and portions on the small-medium side. The Manchego and Fig Jam Grilled Cheese is something that I don't know where else to get in Greenville, but MAN was it great! I recommend trying that because it's one of the reasons why I'll be retuning again. Asides the food, this curated market screams quality. This cafe has an assortment of items from store merchandise, to-go food and drink options, and numerous miscellaneous items like bamboo toilet paper! I will be uploading the new menus as I continue to visit this cafe, but I'm looking forward to see what becomes of this place going forward. The Pantry by Emily's Table is a lovely experience! Definitely a [new] hidden downtown gem. It's both a cafe and gift shop with curated selections for both food and items (i need the GVL mugs!) and a lovely quiet vibe. Employees were all very friendly and helpful - it was awesome that the person who rang me up suggested cold foam for my latte because I wouldn't have assumed they had it :) The iced Teddy Graham latte with the cold foam was perfect for me - good flavor without being overly sweet (I don't usually even put sugar in my coffee). The manchego fig grilled cheese was delicious - the bread was toasted to a T and tasted so fresh! I also tried my friend's pasta, which was gluten free pasta but really didn't taste or feel like it. The whole dish was surprisingly yummy (I'm not GF myself and have never been a fan of GF items like pasta when I've had them...until now!) and my friend (who is GF) was very praiseworthy of it as well. I just visited yesterday and I've already suggested this place to another friend and my mom and can't wait to return and try some more of their sandwiches (and hopefully grab one of those mugs ;) ) read more

I stopped in for a cozy grab and go for a later dinner treat and was blown away by the care in every bite and sip. I loved the level of care and dedication of quality of service that I got to experience just stopping in. There was a level of care provided for what are recommended soups and lattes, with a fun twist on a sweet treat. One beautiful nod to the owner is the level of detail of being a woman owned business and having ethically sound products and brands as a part of the retail space all while, promoting local artisans as well. I started with the turkey kale soup, which was rich, hearty, and beautifully balanced. The depth of flavor was impressive--comforting without being heavy, and packed with wholesome goodness. Then came the maple bacon cupcake--dairy-free and gluten-free, but you'd never know it. The texture was perfect, the maple subtly sweet, and the bacon topping added a savory crunch that made it unforgettable. Truly a standout treat. To round it out, I had the peppermint mocha latte, which was full-bodied and handcrafted to perfection. The mocha and espresso were in harmony--not too sweet, not too bold--and the peppermint added a refreshing lift that sang through the latte. So glad to find out about this new spot through yelp! If you've seen Schitt's Creek, this place is giving rose apothecary vibes. A little upscale bodega right on Main Street tucked away under Menkoi with everything from flowers and shampoo to to-go salads and coffee. As someone with a dairy allergy, I was thrilled by how many dairy free options they had. I got the vegan cauliflower dip to-go, which was so good heated up with the complimentary chips. I saw they had vegan soft-serve, so I had to try, and it was delicious. We also got a latte. I expected not to be able to have it due to shared equipment, but they had an unused frother and offered to sterilize the other if needed, so I was able to have vegan latte! This is very rare for me. Not only did the friendly staff go above and beyond to make sure I could have dairy free items, they also turned the soft serve machine back on so we could try the soft-serve (they were close to closing). Everyone went above and beyond service-wise. I can't wait to go back for more soft serve, a latte, and also a salad (or just more ice cream). Hands down the best place my family and I visited during our stay in Greenville. We walked all over town looking for somewhere with genuinely clean ingredients -- a place where the care for food quality shows through in everything, from knowledgeable, friendly staff to the food and drinks themselves to the clean-living, low-tox products on the shelves. My one piece of feedback: hot food served in to-go boxes. Most to-go containers are lined with plastic even when the outside looks paper-based, which is a concern for anyone sensitive to microplastics. A parchment liner or plastic-free container for hot items would make this even better. Otherwise, everything was delicious -- real food and real beverages, free of preservatives and junk and very allergen friendly. We'll definitely be back. read more

Downtown Greenville's newest hidden gem! Head down the flight of stairs and enter into a welcoming and well curated little gift shop and cafe nook. The menu offers coffee, tea, shakes, smoothies, pastries, sandwiches, wraps and salads! Their space has some small indoor tables or you can sit outside, along the sidewalk upstairs. The owner and all of the staff I interacted with were very kind and accommodating. I recently moved to Greenville and have been on the hunt for a great chai latte that compares to my favorite spot back home and this place definitely delivered. My husband ordered a coffee and said it was delicious, and I got a chai that was honestly great. I was especially impressed when the barista recommended adding their homemade vanilla syrup to it, it took the chai to the next level. The shop itself is adorable! A cozy, welcoming space with super cute stationery and fun little food items like salts, sodas, and beers. The service was wonderful, friendly, and helpful, which always makes the experience even better. One small note: we did try to come by a few times before and ran into some confusion with the hours. The website said they were open, but they weren't on those occasions. Not sure if the hours were just a bit wonky those days, but it's worth mentioning. My wife and I discovered The Pantry on a visit to Greenville while walking along N. Main St. on a hot, humid day. We saw the posted menu and went downstairs to explore. There were sidewalk level tables, but the downstairs main service and seating area had a hidden jewel ambiance of abundant food, drinks, and baked treats and gift items, with very friendly, staff eager to explain the menu. We split a chicken salad on sourdough sandwich. The sandwich was great, with a generous helping of chicken, bacon, greens and dressing, on perfectly toasted bread, more than enough to share. The staff checked on us several times and brought extra napkins and share plates quickly. The half dozen tables in the lower level were comfortable. The unisex restroom stood out for its extreme cleanliness and beautiful tilework. A definite treat for lunch out of the heat! read more

First off let me say, this food is incredible. High quality ingredients, many locally sourced, and allergy friendly. I am gluten and dairy free (haven't always been, but had to because of health reasons) and am a HUGEEEE foodie. I have very high standards for restaurants and Emily's Pantry is deeeelish. The portion sizes are very generous (I often have to take my food home!). They have a rotating menu so there's always something fun and new, and they serve a lot of seasonal things to keep up with what produce is in season! And as a gf/df person, it's nice having fresh options and not being limited to the same thing like I am at a lot of restaurants. The staff is so nice, and I appreciate how they support the local community by sourcing quality local ingredients and products for the store. And the store is so cute!! Great values, great food, great people, and great options for those of us who can't enjoy food at most restaurants. I get gf/df food here and it tastes JUST as good as non-gf/df food. My daughter who can not tolerate gluten had the supposedly gluten free cookie sunday and by the time we got home she was having a gluten reaction. Rash all over her skin, etc. Be aware that contaminants exist in this restaurant. Not sure where they sourced the cookie but it was not gluten free. For my daughter to have a reaction like this, it isnt a mild amount of gluten. I tried the chicken salad blt and it was probably a 6.5/10. The chicken salad was a little dry for my taste and the bread may have been day old? As someone with celiac and a nut allergy, it's hard to find somewhere that's safe for me to eat and tasty. The Pantry by Emily's Table did just that! Chef Jimmy was extremely attentive and came out to speak with me to reassure me regarding my allergies. I had the most delish Gf+Nut free berry muffins (took more to go as they were so yum!!), the signature burger (the gf bun wasn't dry!!!), and an iced latte. The environment was welcoming, all the staff were beyond helpful, and I loved looking around The Pantry's store.
