I really enjoyed my stay here. Even though it is considered a three star hotel. I had a better experience here than I expected. The room was fairly large and spacious, and one of the things I appreciated most was how quiet it was. It was nice being able to come back after a long day of exploring Seattle and relax. The only issue that I had was the bathroom being a bit dirty when I first arrived. However, once I brought it to their attention, housekeeping came asap and took care of the issue right away. They were very apologetic about it. Things happen and they responded very quickly. Overall, I had a very comfortable stay at the Paramount Hotel. I would definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Seattle. read more

Paramount is my go to hotel when staying in Seattle and I stay in Seattle quite often. Renovated rooms are quite nice but why they decided to ditch the in room coffee makers is beyond me. Complimentary coffee in the lobby ends promptly at 7:00 and from then on you need to patronize their rather mediocre coffee and snack bar or the far superior bagel shop in the Hyatt right next door. I'm also a member of their loyalty program after filling out a questionnaire with such questions as to my pillow preference or whether I preferred sweet or salty snacks. Neither were provided during my most recent visit. Front desk and staff are both top notch and the location really can't be beat. They're about a 15 minute walk to Pike Place Market, 5 minutes to Nordstrom (literally the nicest department store I've ever seen) and an even shorter walk to my son's Seattle apartment which is why I'm there so often. Unfortunately, as many other reviewers have mentioned, only one elevator works which has been the case for at least the past year & 1/2 which is how long I've been staying there. According to the front desk staff, they had it fixed but some rowdy hotel guests broke it again. Sorry, but this is totally inexcusable. Waits for the elevator can be excruciating, especially during peak hours when it's shared with laundry carts and maintenance crews. Cafe, like many in city hotels is wildly overpriced and just meh. Never tried the Asian place but I heard it's quite good. All in all, the Paramount is a solid choice that I will continue to choose. Just wish they would improve on the points I made and earn themselves another star or two. read more

I am disappointed by my experience at Paramount Hotel Seattle. Early in the morning, I left my room briefly to get some water and did not bring my phone with me because I expected to return within a few minutes. After entering the elevator at the P2 level, the elevator stopped responding completely. None of the buttons worked, and the elevator would not move. Because I did not have my phone with me, I had no way to contact anyone directly and had to rely entirely on the elevator's emergency call system. It took several minutes before I received a response, and communication through the system was difficult. Being trapped alone in a non-functioning elevator with no way to contact family or hotel staff was extremely frightening. Eventually, a staff member manually released the elevator and helped me out. While I appreciate the employee who assisted me, I was disappointed by how the incident was handled afterward. When I reported what happened to the front desk, I was told the elevator was "under maintenance," but no sign also after what happened no incident report was offered or documented. What concerns me most is not that an elevator malfunction occurred, but the lack of urgency and follow-up afterward. Guest safety incidents should be taken seriously, properly documented, and reviewed by management. I hope the hotel will improve its elevator maintenance procedures, emergency response process, and staff training so that future guests do not have a similar experience. read more

We recently stayed at The Paramount Hotel in downtown Seattle before embarking on our cruise from Pier 91. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was its convenient location, and it definitely delivered in that regard. It was a great base for a pre-cruise stay and close to many downtown attractions. Unfortunately, our experience was a bit mixed. Due to flight delays, we didn't arrive at the hotel until around 11 p.m. Seattle time. The good news is that the staff member who greeted us was friendly and helpful with our luggage, and check-in was quick and easy. However, we were informed that only one elevator was working in a hotel with multiple floors. At first, we didn't think much of it, but it quickly became a major inconvenience. The wait times for the elevator were extremely long, especially in the morning when guests, housekeeping staff, and other employees were all using the same elevator. Something as simple as going downstairs or returning to your room became a test of patience. Our room itself was tastefully decorated and featured two queen beds that were very comfortable, which made for a good night's sleep. That said, for the price we paid, I expected a bit more attention to detail. The first issue was the bathroom. There was no exhaust fan, so after taking a shower the room became hot, humid, and stuffy very quickly. The second issue was the mini fridge. When we opened it the next morning to put something inside, we discovered it still contained a previous guest's leftover Chinese food. Not exactly the welcome surprise you want from a hotel room. To make matters worse, there wasn't a trash can nearby to dispose of it ourselves. I informed the front desk staff, and while they apologized, nothing was done to address the situation during our stay. We also noticed there were no vending machines in the building, which would have been convenient. Overall, The Paramount Hotel has a fantastic downtown location and comfortable beds, and the staff we encountered were pleasant. However, between the elevator issues, the cleanliness oversight, and the lack of follow-through after reporting the problem, I left feeling that the experience didn't quite justify the price. With a few improvements, this could be a much better stay, but based on our visit, it fell short of expectations. Great location and comfortable accommodations, but the little things matter--especially when you're paying premium Seattle prices. read more

We liked the hotel. The people were very nice. The rooms were a good size and it is in a good location. The only downside for us is the hotel does not have a bar. We enjoy a nightcap at the end of the day. You can walk across the street to the Hyatt. They have a lobby bar. You will be paying lobby bar Hyatt prices for those drinks. read more

This is a great little hotel in downtown Seattle. The staff was warm and welcoming (even though the weather was not!) and parking is blessedly easy with valet. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The air conditioning in the room was not as strong as I would have liked, but the windows had the ability to open which provided a nice cross breeze. The hotel was quiet, and, with the windows closed, you could not hear the traffic outside. As an added bonus, the hotel is easy walking distance to many restaurants and attractions, and a short ride away from Cap Hill and the waterfront (if you are not inclined to make the trek). The Paramount Hotel was my first stop in Downtown Seattle after landing at SeaTac Airport. It was about 9:30pm on a Monday night, and the front desk worker greeted me politely and check in went as smooth and hassle free as possible. Off to a great start! But I noticed that there were two elevators, with only one in operation. The other one was out of service during my entire 8 night stay. Not a big deal to me except there was one day where the lone functional elevator was also out of service. And it was right at 4pm, when other guests were ready to check in. I was returning from an afternoon baseball game at that time and wondered why there were so many people with their luggage waiting in the lobby. Then, a hotel employee asked me if I needed to go upstairs; I said yes, and he unlocked a side staircase. My room was on the 6th floor, and I was winded by the time I got to my room. I can't imagine anyone with luggage climbing a narrow staircase to floors above mine. Now I know why they were all in the lobby. Another big red flag to me was the AC/heating system in my room. No matter what I did to the thermostat, it stayed at the same temperature. Luckily, the windows do open and I had a corner room; so I had cross winds for cooling. The bed was ok, but I absolutely hated the pillows. Too flat if only using one; too high if using two. I folded one pillow and that was somehow better for my neck than using two. The bathroom was clean. My room overall was very clean too. Housekeeping was done every other day, which I prefer to a daily thing. But the one thing I noticed about housekeeping: they actually change the bedsheets! Many other hotels do not, but at Paramount, they do! I appreciated that. My room was fairly soundproof too. The only noises I heard were from people walking past my front door, or the usual city stuff (sirens, loud cars, the odd screaming drunkard at 2am). There were 2-3 homeless people who stayed right in front of the hotel, but honestly, they kept to themselves and didn't even ask for change directly to passersby. They actually looked more scared of me than me of them. And they didn't stay there the entire time. They moved onto somewhere else after I returned from another outing. The positives of the Paramount outweigh the two biggest red flags in the broken elevator (working one was also extremely slow), and non-functional thermostat. The location was great, just a few blocks away from the Westlake light rail station and there are a ton of buses nearby too. Every tourist attraction is also a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. I'll strongly consider the Paramount on my return to Seattle! read more

This was my first stay at this property at the corner of Pine and 8th Avenue. It's not a large hotel, there is a small lobby, a self-service convenience store, and a restaurant / bar in one corner of the ground floor with two names, Spruce Café during the day and Chan Seattle at night. Two elevators serve the 11 floors comprised of 146 rooms and 2 suites. It's a basic hotel, valet parking, no pool but there is a small exercise room and free WiFi. For our purpose, it was perfect. I had a corner room on the 7th floor overlooking Pine towards the water. It was a nice size, with a dresser hiding a coffee maker and ice bucket on the left and a refrigerator on the right. Above the dresser was a wall-mounted TV. To the left of the window was a desk and chair and to its left was an occasional chair. The bathroom is off the right past the entrance, comprising a glass-walled shower with a fixed head, a separate water closet, a small vanity and to its left, a full-sized tub. All in all, a nice bathroom. The only thing missing (for me) was a shower wand. The bar didn't open early and closed early so I ended up buying bottles of Botanist gin and a can of Pelligrino flavored water and having drinks in my room on two afternoons / evenings. The price of the 1.5oz bottles was surprisingly reasonable for a hotel ($7.50ea). Service by the staff was professional and I had no issues (other than limited bar hours) during my stay. For the price, I'd stay here again. read more

Pros: rooms are nice, decent sized, very comfortable bed and pillows, clean. Location is very convenient for most sightseeing, like pikes place market, with proximity to the train and monorail. Cons: really no amenities... the free coffee in the morning closes at 7 AM and it's only a Keurig machine so that was disappointing on a few levels. There's really nothing else here... no fitness room, and not even a few board games to play in the lobby. One of the two elevators is broken. This is not the hotel to stay at if you plan on hanging out at the hotel at all but it is a good place to basecamp and get a good nights sleep. read more

Super inconvenient for guests. The elevators are always packed and require a key card to activate. The door to get to the stairs from the lobby is a one way emergency exit that you can only open from the stairs side. You have to go to the first floor to get drinking water. The first floor door is a one way, meaning you walk down to the first floor then have to wait 20 minutes for the elevator to go back up. No microwaves anywhere!!! Also the elevator buttons reset after a few minutes. You will press the button to summon the elevator, it will light up and after a few minutes it will just turn off. read more

The Paramount hotel was a reasonably and competitively priced compared to other hotels in the downtown Seattle area. It was clean and modern and refined. There's a gym on property with a hot and cold water dispenser which was a nice amenity so we could refill our water bottles and have hot tea in the room without having to go far to get it or spend any additional money. We were visiting on a summer weekend during some pretty big shows being held downtown and we did not experience any noise or other disruptions. We were very comfortable inside the room. If I wanted to stay in downtown Seattle, I would definitely stay at the Paramount Hotel again! read more

Not a bad place to stay if you don't mind an 11 story building with only 2 elevators, one of which wasn't working for over a week, and the other one on the fritz. Great place to get your exercise. I just loved carrying my elderly in-law's luggage, my wife's, our toddler's, and my luggage up and down stairs. And when the elevator finally started working again for a few moments, guests weren't inside... staff was as multiple guests are trying to get downstairs and check out. My in-laws managed to finally get in, only for it to stop working for a bit again, with them inside. Not worth it. read more

PRICE DOESN'T MATCH PEACE OF MIND (3.25 Stars) Great hotel. Prime location. BUT damn.. for $246 a night, it's not worth your peace of mind. Need thicker windows because screaming crackheads (the infamous fentanyl zombies of Seattle), my bad, better term "the unhoused" sure comes out at night all over downtown streets is not the business. Neither are annoying cars with their loud exhaust driving by or honking horns. No room service and restaurant/bar are only open certain days and hours - uhm thats unusual for a hotel with a pricy nightly price tag. - CLEANNESS - VERY clean. Nice rooms. - SERVICE: good, very helpful and friendly - COMFORT: king size bed was comfy, pillows were horrible - QUIETNESS - Loud AF Selected this hotel because 1. The Paramount had great reviews everywhere I checked 2. The Hilton (my regular hotel) the one I remember downtown is closed 3. I've stayed at the Grand Hyatt across the street before and liked it but had some minor disturbance issues there and didn't want that same experience 4. This is right next Pacific Place "safer area downtown" and easy access to everything being in the heart of downtown. The further away from 1/2/3rd street the better. I got to check in hours early. My room was ready and given a room in the higher floors - facing Pine. The room was super clean, I even tested by wiping down areas of my own for any dirt and there was none. Upon arrival I saw a connecting door in my room - hence, the door to another hotel room. It has a lock and all but that means "paper thin walls". Most of the afternoon and evening, this place was peaceful and quiet. Then that all changes after 9:30p. All the fentanyl zombies coming out screaming or talking. I could hear the hotel neighbor that shares the connecting door unzipping their luggage, opening the shelves, etc. - luckily they seem like quiet people. But still, if you can hear them ruffling around the room - that connecting double door doesn't block noise. Cars with loud exhaust speeding by. Random cars honking. Kind of can hear some construction from the distance. It was annoying. Best way to drown it all out was to turn on the bedroom fan/ac to make it like white noise which helped, a lot. Bed was comfy but a little stuff. Pillows were awful. They are down feather but a beat up worn out down feather. Your head sinks in quickly and the pillows go super flat even using 4 pillows. Tried to use as many to get the lift but it didn't help. By 7:00AM the downtown morning starts with buses and truck noises and occasional honking. Prime location might also not be so prime. If you are a sensitive sleeper looking for a goodnights sleep, this place may not be for you. It was a good hotel but still noisy even if on the higher floors. And for that price, you'd think better would be served. Nice hotel but don't think I'll stay here again for $246 a night - maybe for less than $130. Until the next review... read more

I think for the price of the hotel there needs to be more amenities, and features. This hotel can definitely use an upgrade when it comes to the interior of the rooms as well, let me explain.... The rooms are very old, dingy, and drab. I was so shocked because this hotel is located downtown Seattle. You would think the inside of the hotel would at least reflect that but it doesn't. I felt like the lobby and restaurant areas were nicer than the actual rooms. Even the gym looked more modern and upgraded. Because we were only staying two nights, I was told we wouldn't receive housekeeping services. We had to constantly request new towels and supplies which was a pain, however the customer service was excellent so at least that made up for that. Every time we requested something, someone came. In fact in all areas of the hotel the customer service was impeccable. There were no robes in our room. Just very basic everything. I did like the restaurant which was called Chan Seattle. I loved the location of the hotel because it's close to lots of points of Interest. It wasn't a bad stay. I just feel like the hotel should be remodeled and revamped for the price your paying. read more

I stayed at The Paramount on June 13-14, 2026. During my stay, the elevator was not functioning properly, which created a significant inconvenience. I waited approximately 15 minutes for an elevator before eventually having to walk down ten flights of stairs. Unfortunately, there were no signs in the stairwell directing guests where to exit, and when I reached the first floor, the door led to a staff-only area, which added to the confusion and frustration. I avoided the elevator thereafter. In addition, the sheer curtain in my room was deteriorated due to dry rot, and there was no bath wash soap provided. These issues fell well below the level of service and accommodations I expected. The front desk personnel directed me to the manager but she was never on the premises to address my concerns so I sent an email to her upon arriving back at home. The manager responded and stated that she would be unable to offer an adjustment to the folio after reviewing the circumstances surrounding my visit. I sent an email to the corporate office and they never responded. As a result, I will never stay at The Paramount. read more

Was very pleased with our stay at the Paramount. Upon arriving the front desk staff was very welcoming and throughout our stay there the friendliness of the staff exceeded our expectations. The room was a standard king, enough room for us. Upon entering and leaving daily someone was always there greeting you and welcoming you back. Valet was quick and extremely friendly. The room itself does have some thin walls as we were able to hear our neighbors and I'm sure they heard us. The street noise at times was louder but that's city living and the ac, when on, did drown that noise out. The first night the fire alarm went off around 5am, luckily that was just a one night thing. The location was perfect, not far from anything. Only downfall would be the valet charge of $61 a night. Was a little steep compared to others around. All in all though it was definitely a good experience! read more

Arrived late on a Thursday and the whole check in was really quick. Parking- if you park across the street- cost you $30 for 24 hours If you park in the hotel, cost you $60. My opinion is that if you are staying here, you don't really need a rental car. There's scooters and bikes at every corner that gets you places, without the hassle and stress of parking! In the elevator, you would need your key card to access to the level. I was up on the 7th floor viewing was Ruth Kris Steakhouse . Room was with a king size bed and just spacious and clean. With a mini refrigerator and a coffee maker. There's a coffee shop and a restaurant/bar at the lower level near the reception desk. Bar closes at 11 pm (I believe). The 2nd night we wanted to stay in, so we went to the bar had a drink and an appetizer which was a bulgolgi sliders (so good)! Bartenders and waiters were very nice and attentive! The last day, went to have breakfast and coffee (Spruce Cafe)and was so delicious ! They were on top of everything. The only reason why I deduct one star is that 2 receptionist (different times of day) are not very helpful but gave an attitude as to when I ask them questions about their restaurant or just checkin out. They gave me this answer which made me feel awkward for even asking. They need some customer service training (IMO) bc you need customers more than customers need you! Overall, I would come back since it was a pleasant stay! read more

Stayed here for 4 days/nights for an event at the convention center that is within walking distance, so that was the main reason for staying here. The hotel was nice with great staff, very clean, and quiet for the most part. Was given a $20 dollar comp for morning breakfast but didn't get a chance to experience it due to having to attend the event early each morning. The only reason why I'm giving it a 4 star is the price. For the 4 days/nights, the average cost was $325/night, and for nothing really special about the hotel, this is definitely high. read more

Just finished my stay here during Memorial Day week, and I'm only giving the hotel 3/5 starts for the following reasons: The pros: they provided an early and late check in/out at no additional cost, as well as a room upgrade. The location of the hotel is perfectly centered to close popular locations like the Starbucks reserve and pike place. The staff is really friendly and provide complimentary waters in the room. The staff also does a great job tidying up the rooms as well. The cons: the rooms are basic and nothing outside of your standard 3 star hotel, even with a room upgrade. We received a room upgrade for free but were given a corner room and it was NOISY. The sounds from the streets kept waking us up throughout the night. There was constant medical personnel and cops turning their sirens on, and we would often hear yelling and car honking in the late night to early mornings. I'm not sure if this is an issue in other rooms, but it for sure is for corner rooms facing the street. I didn't like it at all and the curtains did little to almost nothing to keep the sun from blasting into our rooms at 6am. Also, the walls are very thin... so I'll let you imagine the things we all heard. I don't know if I would stay here again. It's not a bad hotel in spite of my experience, it just wouldn't be my top pick. read more

The beds are super comfy, staff very friendly, hotel and rooms are very nice but the best part is the location. We walked to the Space needle, Pioneer Square and Pike Market. When visiting Seattle in late 2021 for a conference, my best friend and I stayed at The Paramount Hotel. We wanted something within walking distance from the conference hotel and that had a more boutique feel. The Paramount Hotel delivered! The beds, linens, and furniture were all comfortable, and the rooms were immaculately cleaned upon check-in. It was about a 7-10 minute walk from the light rail from the Seattle airport, so this made it very easy to reach without a cab or ride share service. Check in was very easy when I arrived in the evening. Our two challenges during the stay was a non-functioning fridge on our check-in and some lobby construction multiple days that meant we could not use the cute fireplace to sit and read or chat by it. The lobby construction had to happen sometime; it had no noise whatsoever. It just meant no quaint fireside time on the cold evenings. The staff were great about coming to fix the fridge on Day 2 (it had overheated, so they reset it). That couldn't happen until our second day because there was no technician on the first night, so they were great to let me store my cold food into their staff refrigerator. We did not want housekeeping during the pandemic, so the housekeeping team was stellar to bring clean towels and take trash each day. Their housekeeping team are amazing. The final night we had an issue with the person next door being intrusive and drunk, but the staff fixed that issue too. The only recommendation I would have for the staff would be some more plug options near the bed for multiple people, as we had to take turns charging on the two chargers. All and all, I would definitely come back to The Paramount and highly recommend it as a more affordable, quaint space instead of a giant conference hotel. read more

This whole experience was awful, my friend and I were in town for a show at the paramount theater. We checked in, paid, and started to get ready in our room. Only for the door the swing open with someone else who had been assigned to our room. I go to the front desk (terrible service) and find out not only was I charged over $300 for a completely unsafe room I was also charged another $300 for that other woman's room! I was told I'd get paid back for her room and my room comped, so far their only help up half of the deal. read more

I just returned from a three day conference in Seattle, where I stayed at the Paramount Hotel. I had a wonderful time! The two ladies at the front desk were lovely. Welcoming, accommodating, and just an all around joy to interact with. They made my stay feel extra special. I would highly recommend booking at the Paramount for business and or pleasure. I spent a weekend here 3 weeks ago and I will NEVER stay here again. The elevators are broke and Im spending all my time either waiting on the broken elevator or taking the stairs instead of actually enjoying anything. I cant wait to leave. We cant even get food at their in house restaurant because so many people come off the streets it has an insane wait. Ive talked to several other guests here today and everyone is not happy. The place "looks" nice, but its anything but. I sincerely hope they fix these issues for future guests. read more

We don't live far from here but were seeing a late show and decided to make a night out of it and stay in the city like tourists. Hey, Covid has limited our travel, we have to take what we can get! We found a great rate on hotels dot com and this is a great location - easily walkable around downtown and to Pike Place, even in the rain. I called ahead (some may call me neurotic, but I call myself a "planner" and a "coffee addict") to ask what type of coffee machine was in the room (the website just reads "in-room coffee.") The front desk clerk told me all rooms have a coffee machine but she didn't know whether it was Keurig or what. I thought it was weird to not know - I verified that this was the front desk and not some corporate reservation number - and she absolutely did not offer to check and call me back or anything. When we arrived and checked in, the front desk clerk was equally unhelpful. I'm going to give Paramount the benefit of the doubt and hope it was the same front desk clerk, that way they just have one clerk who is unhelpful and uninterested. Either way, this woman was just not trying. She really made a bad first (or second?) impression. It was like she was talking at me, not with me. I was trying to figure out the valet parking cost - and she kept saying something about "hotel collect." I've never heard of that, so I kept asking "What is hotel collect?" and she kept saying "It's your hotel type." What does that mean? I think maybe she was trying to say something about booking on hotels dot com but how does that answer my question about valet...? Just tell me the cost. And she just kept saying it will be on my final bill. We went around in the same question and answer 3 times, and I finally just chose valet (she couldn't tell us the cost) since the guy already had my keys. Just so you know, the valet is $50, and it includes all the in-and-out you'd like (wink, wink.) My hotels dot com "silver level" booking included $17 off valet. After dealing with her, it was nice to just go to the room. Our room type was "Classic King" and it was roomy, clean, and had some nice features - a large separate bathtub and walk-in shower, robes, a sofa and an armchair, etc. The room had a mini-fridge and there was ice near the elevator bank. There were plenty of easily-accessible outlets. The room was a comfortable temperature. Coming back to the all-important topic of coffee... I think I figured out why the clerk couldn't easily answer the question about the coffee - the pods were a weird shape and size! So, no, I don't think you could bring k-cups from home or bring your own ground coffee. That's ok, there are a few great coffee places nearby, it just means you have to get out of bed! The bed was comfortable, the bath was large and luxurious, and I thought the bath caddy, which had a book stand, was a really nice touch. The next morning we interacted with a different front desk clerk, and he was perfectly pleasant. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again, but Paramount, if you're looking for helpful critique - that one clerk could use a class on customer service or communication! read more

I recently stayed one night at the Paramount as I was attending a conference at the Convention Center. The Paramount was perfect for my stay. It was easily within walking distance to anything that I needed, so I didn't need a vehicle. It was only a short walk from both the light rail & the convention center, and there were all kinds of restaurant options all around. There is even a small bar/restaurant downstairs in the hotel that has great drinks and tasty food. Their happy hour specials were wonderful, especially the tuna tartare. The room was spacious and the amenities were relative to the price. When I stay in Seattle again I will definitely be choosing the Paramount. I was very pleased. read more

The hotel is very centric, a lot of great Seattle attractions are within a 20-minute walk. This allowed us to leave the car at the hotel (US$61 / night - ouch!), and not worry about parking or whether there would be space in the hotel parking lot when we returned. The room was great - the air conditioning cool but not cold, the pillows weren't huge blocks of feathers - I am usually resigned to end up with a neck ache by day two, but this was not the case. Very clean, close to everything, very friendly staff. Only gave it 4 stars because there wasn't a microwave in the room or even a community one. And they charged $50 a day to park, I could have sworn the website said free parking. Just read the fine print. read more

RUDE. STRAIGHT RUDE. At check in, i was over charged by pretty much double. The staff at check in was apoligetic and helpful. When I checked my account the following morning i only saw a reversal for $75 when it should have been a reversal of approx $1900. Called bank to verify, and they did not see any other reversal charges coming through from The Paramount Hotel. I go back down the next morning to explain that Wells Fargo does not see any other reversals. I get attitude like I was asking some kind of stupid question. I get my card thrown back at me. And a hand thrown in the air atritude by the morning staff. "You just have to call your bank" She says. -I just told you I got off the phone with the bank. "What else am I supposed to do?" She says. -If your staff makes a mistake and over charges by double, dont give the customer an attitude. Dont throw the card back at the customer. Have at least an ounce of an apologetic tone. Dont try and belittle your customer. This is a SNAFU caused by the hotel staff, not the customer/guest. The staff last night got it and said they would reverse everything and re do the check in so that things can be set right. All was good. Then I got to you, the morning Desk Staff, and now I am upset. Not be cause the mistake, but because how I was treated by the morning staff for a mistake that was made by the hotel. Did I get angry? No. Did I curse and swear? No. Was I being difficult? No. Doesnt help the situation. So I walked away. Now I have a claim with my bank for the entire amount. What was originally a 5 star experience(even with the overcharge) became a crappy experience because of one entitled staffer. Customer service and hospitality can all go south because of 1 experience, no matter how great the rest of the time was. Understand that!!!! If you are going to stand on a pedestal then make sure you actually have a legitimate pedestal to stand on. If you are the GM of this hotel, know that your valet staff from the night of 07/20 is your only above the call of duty staffer you have and was exceptional. The rest of your staff doesnt care. Minimal effort people only give your brand a bad name. I will never stay at another Paramount or any other related hotel. read more

Staff were friendly even though I was greeted just once while I stayed there for a week. You need your hotel card to use the elevator which is not cranky and functional. Cons: The curtains were a pain to close all the way. Without a clip, you will most likely have light shined through into your room. The pillows were hotel quality and could not have been worse. It was too tall if I stacked two together but too low if I just used one. I can feel my head sinking in and touching the bed if I just used one pillow. Lamp was unreachable if you are in your bed. I had to get up to turn on/off the lamp next to the bed. The A/C was incredibly loud and old. One cannot turn it on while asleep. I find myself waking up midnight, sweating, and have to open the windows because I didn't want to use the A/C. There is a huge gap(1 inch) beneath the door. I can easily see the lights and people walking in the hallway while I was trying to sleep, so I had to put a towel to fill that gap. The walls are pretty thin as you can hear people peeing/doing other stuff. You can hear the people talking while having both of your doors closed. Everytime your neighbors close the door you can hear a loud bang. My bathroom had a hole in the wall, not sure if it has a hidden camera inside so I just put a towel in there. Pros: They gave us plenty of hand soap, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. These were decent quality. The shower was easy to use and I was able to find the right temperature with no difficulties. They provide non-slippery mat for the shower. They also provide you hair dryer. Toilet was easy to use. Big TV with lots of channels. Not the fastest WiFi but decent Overall pretty clean with no bedbugs. 2.7/5 read more
