My bff and I came to Seattle for vacation. This location is so convenient and affordable for what it offers. It's close to major tourist spots within 5-10 minutes of driving or 20 minutes walking. (Depending how fast you walk). You're in the middle of a major shopping area, and across the street are delicious restaurants that cater to one of Amazon hub offices. Don't forget Continental breakfast! There's also a fridge and microwave if you want to save money. If you are driving, there is parking. There is a cruise shuttle service for those who are sailing on an adventure. read more

Stayed here for 4 nights while visiting Seattle and have mixed opinions overall. First, the location is great. Views of the Space Needle, right in the heart of downtown. Walkable to pretty much anywhere and very close to all kinds of public transit. Whole Foods is right around the corner for groceries, and plenty of restaurants are nearby. Rooms have fridges for leftovers or light groceries. The hotel service was great. The front desk staff was nice, and housekeeping did a great job for our longer stay. Clean property and room overall. No complaints there. This is an older property, so the decor is not what I would call modern by any means. There is some scuffed furniture, walls, and some rundown spaces within the building. None of this bothered me during our stay, but it was noticeable. Breakfast was included, but it was unfortunately quite lackluster compared to many other hotel breakfasts I have had. Most of the choices are frozen breakfast sandwiches from Costco, granola/snack bars, and some light fruit, cereal, and bread choices. They do have a waffle iron, which is nice. However, you won't find fresh eggs, pancakes, sausage, potatoes, or anything already hot like you could find at other hotels with continental breakfasts. We still enjoyed the offerings each day, but I think it was probably one of the weakest parts of the stay. The last downer is the gym. They claim to have a gym here, but it's just a single treadmill (which I could not get to work) and an elliptical. There is a small rack of hand weights, too. It's also very small. I wouldn't call this much of a gym. We really enjoyed our stay here, and compared to the pricing of other hotels in the area, this was 100% worth the cost. Nice hotel . Stayed here for 3 nights . We took a king bed . The room was a suite basically with a decent living area with couch , dining table with chairs, and a TV . There was another TV in the bedroom area . One important thing was that the AC was in living room so the bedroom was getting stuffy as there wasn't separate ac for bedroom . Right in front of the hotel are offices and restaurants. And below the hotel also present is a cafe . They serve breakfast but it was all frozen items (like breakfast burritos etc ) which needed to be removed from the package and then microwaved before eating . There were many stuff but all were frozen items . Even the boiled egg were not fresh and were in fridge . They did have a waffle iron though which came to rescue us ( we don't like eating frozen stuff a lot ) . There were cereals , yoghurt , fresh coffee , bagels and bread which were ok . They have a covered , enclosed parking lot in the building which was hard to find at first but it's very safe . There is a numbered keypad which helps you get in the garage . The price for parking is reasonable considering the fact that it's located right in Seattle downtown. All in all it was good . read more

Such a great location and great front desk staff! Place is kept clean throughout the building and rooms are huge. The room comes with a mini fridge and microwave in a different language, but works. There were robes and slippers in the closet which was clutch! The heater worked which was critical when visiting during winter time. They had mini dove toiletries - nicer than most hotels with off brand names. Elevators are tiny, but fast. Location location! Everything is walking distance and if not, bus stops surround the hotel that are efficient! The space needle is visible if you have an outfacing window. There are plenty of cafes and food spots around that's easy to get to. They offer free breakfast every morning until 10:30am. Basic frozen things, 2 waffle makers (strawberry and regular batter), fruit, toast/bagels, and cereals. Trash coffee and decent juices from a machine. It's nothing fancy, but it definitely helped us save some dollars of not having to pay for breakfast every morning. They also had blackberry jam which is a rarity in even diners! The front desk folks made the experience even better. One particular guy, I didn't get his name, was cheery and accommodating. Perfect location for us as we were in town for the Charley Crockett concert at the 5th Avenue Theatre. We were only staying one evening, and my wife was able to find a suite that a bedroom and a hide a bed in the living area. It was perfect. Parking was only $19.00 and the location was excellent for dinner, the show and coffee the next morning. read more

Checkout was 11 AM, but they let you leave your car in the garage until 4 PM. Complimentary breakfast is okay, with a fair amount of selection. Minuses: Room was not clean in various ways - microwave, shower, soap dish on sink, etc. Drapes would not close all the way, leaving a large vertical gap open. Air-Con just wasn't up to the task. Pillows were so soft that we may as well have just put our head on the mattress. Both phones in the King suite we stayed in did not work. Certainly a mixed bag, right? read more

I chose this hotel for my work trip because I trust that La Quinta rooms will be basic, but clean. That was true this time but I will not use this hotel for future work trips, nor can I reccomend it for travlers: Showers: The showers do not get hot. They get lukewarm- a little above room temperature. After a freezing and wet day in Seattle, the tepid shower was not enough to get me back to a comfy temperature. Noise: probably not true in all rooms, but my room had industrial fans just outside, and the heavy base "WOMP WOMP" noise awoke me at 3:30am, and prevented me from returning to sleep all that morning. Wifi: Unexpedly stopped working, and I had to leave the room really early in the morning to go work in a nearby cofee shop that had active wifi. All in all a pretty disapointing stay, and one that has reduced my trust in the La Quinta brand. read more

We stayed here for three nights. The hotel is located on 8th Avenue, and it's very easy to walk around to all the famous attractions. It is definitely in need of modernization. Everything looks outdated. However the room was clean and roomy. The bed is comfy. It is very strange that there is no electric outlet next to the work station area. The complimentary breakfast was quite hectic. There were simply too many guests eating at the same time for one person to serve. Guests were looking for the person constantly looking for items. As mentioned by other yelpers, you had to use the microwave to heat up sandwiches and stuff, and there was only one microwave! I like that it has laundry facility. Using it was very easy. 2.75 for wash and 2.75 for drying. Not bad. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. read more

La Quinta Inns are all pretty average. Honestly it's our go-to if we can't find anything amazing / above average. Beds are fine at this location, pretty comfortable. Convenient location with easy access to public transportation, a cute park and many many food stores. Also a Whole Foods nearby. 3 stars for the room. My room was on the 6th floor and the view was directly across a building were office workers can see directly in my room and vice versa so I had to keep the drapes closed the whole time which I don't like cause I would like to let some light in. Drapes were dirty. Air conditon/heater had stains on it and would not turn off so I had to unplug it but then had a constant dripping noise. Good thing I sleep with a white noise which helped drown it out. Looks like there is water damage on the ceiling and some mold. Bathroom light is not bright enough and the fan is loud. Mattress looks new but boxspring is old and stained. Pillows were a little too dense for my liking but still better than flat . Bed sheets and towels smelled and looked clean and no bedbugs! So that's a plus! Lol 5 star for customer service, free breakfast, and location. Front desk staff was always courteous and helpful. Breakfast was make your own waffles, yogurt, make your own oatmeal, microwaveable breakfast sandwiches, burrito, meat lover bowl, banana, apple, cereal, coffee, tea, and juice. I did not rent a car but I believe it's an extra fee for parking. Oh and Lyft from airport was $65 on a Wednesday afternoon and to airport on a Saturday afternoon was also $65, still cheaper than renting a car and paying for parking. I walked everywhere. Needed my exercise for all the food I was about to eat! Lol. This place was 15 minutes from Pike Place and 13 minutes from Space Needle. And Fremont Troll is a 6 min walk to a bus stop, one bus ride, and a 2 minute walk to the Troll. Whole Foods and a Korean grocery store called District H that has hot prepared food is literally around the block, Kitanda coffee shop is right next door, so are many restaurants, and a Happy Lemon(boba tea) right across the street! I was shocked to see soo many people out walking downtown late on a Wednesday and Thursday night. Barely saw any unhoused people around this particular neighborhood but did see a lot on my way to Pike Place. Just like Downtown San Francisco except there were many city worker and looks like they keep the streets pretty clean, then again, I only walked certain areas. If you are female solo traveler like me, bring pepper spray just to have something to protect yourself with. Overall I would definitely stay here again. Felt very safe here for being a solo female. Just check the ceiling and make sure your room does not have water damage with mold which I really didn't notice until 2 days into my stay cause I was hardly in my room plus the lighting was dim for me. They offered me another room but I already wiped the whole place down with clorox wipes(yeah, I'm that extra), unpacked, and checked for bed bugs(none!), plus I was leaving the next day. read more

We stayed here for almost a month and they were super awesome, giving us a great long term rate and serving a fantastic hotel breakfast every morning. The elevator had a bit of a musty smell and they could use a few updates but other than that the stay was pretty comfortable. Beds were clean and comfortable, bathroom was clean, they even had robes and extra towels. Complimentary Breakfast was simple but there were plenty of options from cheerios- to yogurt- to breakfast burritos. They were constantly stocking it to make sure that everyone had options. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights during the new year and had such a wonderful experience! Through orbitz.com, we paid $350 for a 3 night stay. Taxi to and from the airport cost $40-45 each way before tips. We chose this hotel over another hotel located in the heart of downtown Seattle to avoid the street noises and ensure a good night's rest. It's 0.7 miles from Pike Place Market (~15 min walk) and 0.6 miles from the Space Needle (~13 min walk). It was just a bit more of a walk than the other hotel, but a small price to pay for better quality! Even though there was just the two of us, we got a room with 2 queen beds. Sometimes we chilled on the same bed, and sometimes we took up our own beds, oh the luxury! They had everything I wanted in a hotel room: cable tv, wifi, microwave, fridge, hair dryer, plenty of towels. Trust me, I've stayed in lots of hotels without these simple necessities! They also provide complimentary breakfast (ends at 10am on weekends and 9am on weekdays)! The fluffy eggs and juicy sausages were surprisingly delicious. They also have yogurt, cereal, waffles, bagels, muffins, bananas, etc. It's nothing fancy but I was impressed because the last hotel I stayed at that claimed to have complimentary breakfast turned out to serve mini muffins and capri sun... Next to the elevators, they provide lemon infused water and lemonade. I made sure to always refill my water bottle. This is how I kept hydrated because I'm too cheap to pay $2 for a water bottle outside, haha! As we headed out one night, we found complimentary freshly baked cookies in the lobby. This made us SO HAPPY. They were so good I'm still dreaming about them :P Another day, we were not prepared for the rain so the front desk graciously lent us an umbrella to use. Service is just so great! Everyone who works here is very kind and helpful :) My only complaint is that there is construction work all around the hotel. A lot of the sidewalks are closed so it was a bit inconvenient to get around. Thankfully the workers don't work on weekends, but we did get an earlier wake up call on Monday morning due to the noise. But other than that, La Quinta is AWESOME and I would definitely recommend this hotel! read more

I was hesitant making this reservation since I wasn't sure where exactly the location was. Turns out we were smack dab in the middle between Pike's and the Space Needle - it was PERFECT!!! Downtown was within walking distance and we left the car at the hotel the majority of the time. Pike's was only a 10-15 min walk. Be mindful which areas you walk, however, because you'll run into some "interesting" people. The receptionist was always pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. The 8 parking spots available right outside the hotel are TINY and usually full. There is an underground parking garage, which I would recommend parking your rental/car esp if it's raining or snowing. FREE PARKING! Complimentary continental breakfast in the morning - always packed but enough to grab a quick bite, coffee, tea or juice. I was pleasantly surprised how nice our room was. Recently renovated and everything was brand new and very modern. The room came with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, flat screen TV, dual shower heads and descent soap/shampoo/conditioner. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel if you're looking for something relatively inexpensive with free parking in downtown Seattle. When it comes to hotels, I really don't mind where I stay at because I look at a hotel as a place to just sleep. But man, this hotel is super awesome!!! The lobby is very cute and super modern. There are computers for your use, as well as complimentary water with fresh fruits in it. My fiance and I got a room with a full sized bed and OMG these beds are sooooo comfy!!! I seriously did not want to get out of bed because it was the most comfortable beds that I have ever laid on! The hotel itself is nice and clean. The view was not so great but we had the shades closed the whole time. The TV is nice and big so we can watch some shows while in bed or just while we are getting ready for the night. The best part about this hotel is COMPLIMENTARY breakfast!!!! I love breakfast so when i hear this, this is a total added bonus!! They have just your typical breakfast, waffles, bread, muffins, cereal, eggs, etc. Good breakfast just to fill your appetite! NOthing to spectacular though but hey, its free! The service here is awesome!! we ran out of toothpaste and they gave us some! Never knew they had all this stuff but apparently they have pretty much everything!! The location is stellar and we really enjoyed our 2 night stay in a king sized bed suite! It does need some updating, but I didn't mind that at all. I love how they have a gated parking garage, so we knew our vehicle would be safe overnight! The staff was also super friendly and helpful with any questions we had or any recommendations we requested. The only complaint is the breakfast - Photos imply they have a breakfast type buffet with scrambled eggs and protein, but that isn't the case. Lots of microwave options, prepackaged pastries and make your own waffles, but not the normal hotel buffet I expected and saw in the photos. I probably would have picked somewhere else based on that as the breakfast options are definitely deciding factors for me, but it was still a nice stay. read more

READ BEFORE STAYING: Let me start by saying the breakfast is great here! They have a very good range of foods in the lobby in the morning. They also offer 6$ laundry if needed(wash and dry.) My family and I stayed here for a whole week so it was much needed. The gym here isn't a gym. It's a tiny room with an incline half way throughout the tiny room for no reason. The room service and cleaning did an amazing job. Every time we can back the room was cleaned perfectly with new towels and even new shower curtains every day. Here's the drama you came for...lol The front desk lady - RUDE! She spoke to my mom with the most smart ass attitude when we arrived. I didn't want to ruin any vibes so I didn't say anything. CONSTRUCTION: There is a ton of construction going on throughout Seattle. However, there construction RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET that they never told us anything about. We found that out when we arrived. We didn't mind the construction because we were gone for most of the day. That quickly changed when we were woken up at 1AM IN THE MORNING TO CEMENT TRUCKS POURING CEMENT ACROSS THE STREET. All four of us could not go back to sleep until around 4AM when they stopped. When bringing this up to the front desk lady she did not care one bit. All she said is that there were signs about the construction in the room. YEAH RIGHT! The signs in the hotel(as we found it when we got there) said construction will be ending at 6PM. I'm 24 years old and I don't mind some noise but let me tell you that those trucks were LOUD AF. Don't stay here unless you want a rude and obnoxious front desk lady and cement trucks waking you up from 1-4AM. read more

I really enjoyed this stay! The wife and I escorted 3 of the kids up to Seattle for a rock concert. As a family we love AVATAR the band. With no Portland show scheduled we had to make the 184mile 3 hour trip to Seattle to see them. We arrived around 9pm Saturday night. Hungry and cramped up from the travel. Limited COMPACT parking spots, we had to park our Denali on the street just around the corner. -.5 Star EASY check in. I'm talking smooth. Get up to the room and it's perfect for the family. Again we are starving upon arrival, first thing I notice is the room service card on desk. I order a pizza. "It will be around 45 minutes". Now we are travel pros due to my softball studs / travel teams. We instantly set up camp. Queen size mattress and cot set up with the fold out queen bed and still plenty of room in main room. Our king bed is amazing. KNOCK KNOCK. Boom. Pizza is here! Only took 30 minutes, COOL! We dive into dinner while gazing out the massive windows sucking in the views of downtown Seattle. Now if your a TRUE traveler, you know that big city's NEVER stop building. Construction is going on directly in front of us, and on every corner........ I think out loud, great! Monday is going to suck. We watch a movie and call it a night. Sunday- get up around 830am. Go down stairs and have a nice hot breakfast as a family. We devise our plan to walk downtown and adventure all day, go to concert, eat dinner with friends back at 1am I wake up Monday morning at 845 am. I'm a bit surprised. 3 kids sleeping 45 feet from a full blown construction site and not a peep. Open my door, and they are all still asleep! I pull back the blackout curtains and I do not leave the window again for 3 hours. I'm intrigued at all the cranes flying items around. Truck load after truck load of earth being removed ....... We will be back in April, and I'm coming right back here. I loved watching the construction. I loved that we walked to the Space needle in 5 minutes. Ate at a great burger joint 3 minutes away. Drove from all the way California tired and hungry and once checked in at night and was booked as it shows it is the cheapest hotel but was surprised and shocked the car parking was not included as it is situated near the homeless tent filled town and in the most dangerous area of downtown Seattle where every walk of life you will find homeless guys trying to snatch you anything from you. My recommendation never book this hotel as they charge more of which they donot shows it to the hotel booking websites. Very Bad experience. The rooms are large and clean but definitely not as nice or modern as I expected for the $200/night price tag. This hotel is conveniently located in downtown and a short bus ride from Pike Place/ Space Needle/ Seattle Art Museum. The room I got had a door connecting it to the room next door and it wasn't sealed off so I could hear every word of my neighbors' conversations all weekend. Not a good place if you want privacy. The breakfast is kinda just grab and go options. No pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful, except for the night guy with the ponytail who rolled his eyes and got all huffy when I returned a free umbrella wet after walking back in the rain. This is a decent enough place to stay, but I think for the price I'd choose somewhere else next time, like Citizen M or Staypineapple. read more

First let me start with the fact that you can't afford a hotel room in this city. It is ridiculous the way Amazon has destroyed housing/rent and hotel rates. $360 a night for a mediocre room at best. Its the cheapest place to stay!! OMG it's worse than NYC!! People are very nice, it's clean, the hallways are damp and musty with no heat or AC. My first time at a below 4 start hotel. Cat rolled her eyes at me after I introduced myself and and it seemed as though I was bothering Selina a lot over general things regarding my stay- But thanks anyways For fixing me a room with a balcony & 1 for Kobe saved a loaner umbrella for me. she is absolutely sweetest. And 2 stars goes to the guys who work there at night and the men cooking complimentary breakfast which was yummy!! I feel very safe and protected with the macho guys working there at night. you get what you paid for. But maybe for the price your better off booking else where there isnt construction going on all day and night EVEN ON The WEEKENDs. I dont blame these people At All. only ended up here because of a Priceline deal. Pillows are not comfortable. I smell weed in the hallways. Even though it's no smoking establishment. Hotel room smells like mold. Front desk female at check in was not pleasant, barely spoke to me, and did not make any attempt to make eye contact, and she did not look very clean either. Elevator extremely dirty, carpets extremely dirty, floors and toilet base dirty. The reviews with 5 stars must be from the owners or workers because I doubt that guest gave this place 5 stars. I wish there was a way not to select any stars. One guess was complaining that he has been waiting for hours for someone to give him linen for his bed. I have several pics if anyone would like to see what this place looks like. But, you are luckly that I am unable to trap the smell and send it to yous as well. Actually makes your chest burn.
