Worst hair experience EVER. I don't know what I did to receive such horrible treatment by the staff here. Was my first time & definitely my last. I had an appointment for a simple color(balayage). My blonde hair was brassy & needed to be lightened & toned. When I made my appointment, I was told the stylist doing my hair was a level 4. I have always worked w/ level 2 stylists. I have been living in the state for a year & The Parlor was my 3rd salon. EVERYTIME I have got my hair done since moving here, it always needed to be corrected by me returning a 2nd time. I was very excited to know I would be working with a level 4 & definitely did not question there being an issue at all. I showed the stylist a picture of what I had in mind as far as color goes. She told me it was probably too light. I showed her my 2nd pick & she said we could definitely achieve that color. While getting started, I told the stylist about my last few bad experiences around the area & how they all turned my hair blue & gray. How upsetting & and frustrating it has been & how excited I was to be working w/ a level 4. (I also needed a grey root touch up w/ a medium brown). When my color was applied, I sat for over 30 min w/ it. I thought it was long, but idk. When I got back to my chair, I noticed A LOT of dye on my skin. I'd assumed she would try to get it off. Nope. (It was MUCH worse on the back of my neck when I got home.) When brushing my hair, she was EXTREMELY rough & it really hurt. At that point, I really started noticing a lack of care. When the blow drying started, I noticed immediately the color of my roots was DEFINITELY not brown or even a natural color. It was a very brassy odd orangey color. (The lighting in this place was pretty dim in my opinion & was kind of hard to tell what my hair actually looked like.) The rest of my hair kind of looked like the light blonde I asked for. Upon checking out, I gave her a generous tip. I was not offered a receipt & asked for one. She requested my email & said it was sent. It never was. (This was the 1st request.) I went home & immediately looked at my hair in my bathroom near my windows to see in natural lighting. I CRIED INSTANTLY. It was gray. Effing gray again. And blue. And the top of my hair (roots) were orange like I thought. I was so so so upset. I didn't understand what happened. ESPECIALLY given the fact I told her this had happened before & she was two levels higher than the others. The worst of it all....my 5 yr old daughter walks in as I'm crying & tells me that my hair matches my sweater I had on (grey). I had errands to run & was so embarrassed to even leave. I threw on a hat to hide my hair, but my husband could only get so much dye off my neck. I immediately called the salon, asked them wtf happened & requested a refund. I most definitely did not want to return to her ass. She said she would have the owner call me back THAT DAY & in the meantime, go get some clarifying shampoo. I never received a call from the owner & later found out that this is a chain of salons & I'd probably never receive a call from him. I waited until they reopened on Tues & went there in person to get my money back. Luckily, on Sunday I lucked out like crazy & was able to get a cancelation appointment at the Color Bar in Lonetree which is an AMAZING PLACE! The ladies there said the stylist should have NEVER let me walk out looking like that! When I got to The Parlor, the guy in there told me the owner wasn't in. Yeah, no shit. I told him I now know he probably was never going to call me nor did my return request get passed to whomever it needed to be. He said well the manager is out sick & I can't do returns. I said I want my return so figure it out. So instead of actually calling the manager, he sat there & was texting her back & forth while I just stood there. Finally told me after confirming my #, she would call me in a day or two. I said that's bullshit service but if she didn't call, I'd be back in by Thursday. I also told him I never got a receipt sent to me after she said she did. He said he'd send it again. Never frickin came again. Pathetic. I went home & called my cc company & explained what happened & disputed the charges. Thursday came & I NEVER got a call from the manager. I NEVER was contacted by them at all. They blew me off like I was shit. An unimportant person & guest. I have thought about going back in & asking wtf happened & why I deserved such horrible treatment but my dispute was approved & my hair is fixed. I hope people chose a different place bc damn. Worst experience of my life. Awful. read more
