    Moussaka
    Elaine D.

We had lunch at The Parthenon in Danville. A tiny restaurant. A nice day so we ate outdoors. Ordered Moussaka as I had been craving it. The salad was a typical version of a Greek salad that you find in the US, only fair. The Moussaka was okay, certainly not the best I've had, and a small portion with a side of unassuming rice rice. Still looking for great Moussaka. 52

A small restaurant with only around 20 chairs but the flavor in the food is big. The lady taking our order was polite and helpful. Went once and the next day went again because the experience was so nice and the prices were very respectable for such portion sizes. I recommend for you to go and have a good meal and a nice time.

This restaurant is a beautiful little restaurant with some fantastic flavors!! I've heard people rave about the food, especially the cheeseburger. You won't be disappointed! Also, extremely clean! It was a noticeably clean and well-kept establishment We ordered Greek nachos, Greek fries, gyro, and pork souvlaki. The Greek nachos came piled high with gyro meat, vegetables, and two dipping sauces of choice. The Greek fries are seasoned well and have feta crumbles on top! The pork souvlaki was marinated beautifully and grilled perfectly. The gyro is stuffed with meat, is appropriately seasoned, and offers a unique blend and taste I have not found anywhere else. The Grilled Salmon Greek Salad is also an excellent offering. The falafel is delicious as well. The service is impressive. The staff exemplifies Greek Hospitality. I recommend everyone to try and support this local business! This place is worth a try if you want a unique experience. Also, on Wednesday, they give away free baklava.

I only have one complaint...everything I've had here is phenomenal. My only problem is having to decide what to order!

When I was eating my lovely food, a bird pooped on my salad!! I couldn't eat it, but I asked for a refund but they wouldn't give me it!

The Parthenon in Danvilke, KY has a variety of Mediteranean / Greek Style Foods. I do recommend it for a nice Take-Out Lunch or Dinner.

Bright and open space - primarily small plates but a few entrees on the menu. Perfect spot for meeting/chatting. Lots of different seating options for a variety of group sizes and yet comfy for one person. Cute decor and lovely art collection (as one would expect). I had the pimento cheese crostini, the soup of the day (Chickpea Chili), and a lavender lemonade. All three items were excellent. Comforting, homemade, and the perfect end to an adventure wandering around the arts center and the gift shop.

Nice meeting spot for the area, bright and open, with a decent selection of charcuterie, small sandwiches, soups, and salads. We had the charcuterie board, with three cheeses, two meats (salami and country ham), crackers, bread, grapes, olives, nuts. Very large board. Was bummed there was a large hair in some of our cheese, but things happen. We also had the pimento in greens. Pimento was creamy, but lacked seasoning. The Murrini trio came with the previously mentioned pimento cheese, hummus (also under-seasoned, but also creamy), naan, crackers, and pickled veggies. The pickled veggies appeared to be made on site and were great! The deviled egg flight we had, supposedly three different flavors, also lacked pizazz. Not bad, just not much else either. We also had tea, water, and mimosas (Prosecco out of the bottle into orange juice). They also have lemon and basil burrata, a roasted veggie sandwich, a turkey club. Their dinner selections are limited to: pasta and spinach, pot roast, a toasted sesame salmon bowl, and the seared seafood salad. You go up to the counter to order. This is not a spot where you have a specific server to your table. Service was as good as it could be. There were two servers/cashiers. Both very kind and helpful, but very young and basically doing the best they could without any sort of oversight or management. I would come here again for a meet up or basic light lunch. But it's not a place you'd take your out of town friends or take people to impress them.
