Amazing bar, bartenders have great customer service, and they have a pool table! DJ Mozart is the best. Clean establishment.

It is ever so comfortable and the bartenders and all of the staff are great. You will love it. They have these sweet cocktails like something you would get in Hawaii. Be careful, don't drink too much of them or a nasty hangover you will have. They have regular cocktails as well and some nice sodas. You will love the way the Hula Hula Room is decorated. It is just an escape from LA life. It is only open until midnight so keep that in mind. It can get crowded and I don't think they take reservations. Call them and ask. Oh, and you can have a wee sample of the cocktail before you order it. I have not had them all. I don't drink much. But this place is a great time.

It's literally walking distance from our hotel in Torrance -- so close we actually walked past it the first time without even realizing it was there. Super hidden, easy to miss. The space itself is small, and when you first walk in it doesn't hit you with an over-the-top tiki vibe right away. But once the drinks start coming out, it fully delivers. The glassware is so fun and themed -- I was obsessed with the flamingo cup and actually ended up buying a couple online since I couldn't take the real one home with me. Drink-wise, I stuck mostly to my usual zombie, which has this great earthy, cinnamon-y flavor that's just different from anything else -- does the trick every time (there's a two-drink max/minimum on it, which I respect). We also tried a Makahiki Mua and a Painkiller, both really solid. The Makahiki Mua had a fun flavor, kind of similar to a Painkiller, but the zombie is still my go-to. Service was pretty good overall -- the bartender stayed mostly in one corner of the bar, which actually worked in our favor since we got served fast. A couple of small quirks though: they only have a limited number of menus, so we kept having to pass one back and forth around the bar, which felt a little silly. They also seemed to be running low on drink cups at times, having to wash and rotate them back into use, which was an odd thing to notice at a bar this size. Also wish they had some food or snacks available, even something small -- but that's a minor gripe. Vibe-wise, this is easily one of my favorite tiki lounges I've been to -- doesn't quite topple Broken Compass Tiki for me, but it's up there. Fun, easy, great drinks, solid service despite the small hiccups, and a perfect spot if you're staying in the Torrance area. Would absolutely go back and would recommend it to anyone chasing that tiki lounge crawl.

Let be honest, this place is the kind of glorious chaos you only find when the universe says, "You…read moreknow what? You deserve a little trouble tonight." Party on Western is a hole‑in‑the‑wall dive bar in the most affectionate way possible. The kind of spot where the lights are dim, the playlist is fire, and the walls have definitely seen some things they'll never speak of again. You walk in and immediately feel like you've joined a secret society of people who just want good music, strong drinks, and zero judgment. People will always judge...who are we fooling. lol!! The playlist? It was on point for the spot, it wasn't just good, it was spiritually aligned with my bloodstream. Every song slapped. Every beat felt like it was personally trying to fix my life choices. I swear one track looked me dead in the eyes and whispered, "You're doing amazing, sweetie." Let's talk about these drinks because they were flirting with me HARD. * Jack on the Rocks, a simple classic that's smooth, cold, and acting like it knew me from a past life. It slid across the bar like, "Hey stranger... miss me?" * Chilled Tequila Shot...Wow, this one didn't flirt. This one grabbed me by the soul and said, "We're making memories tonight." * Jack & Coke, it was sweet, bold, and absolutely lying to me. It told me I was the main character. It told me I was unstoppable. It told me I could dance. It was wrong... but I believed it. Ha ha ha! By drink three, I was ready to text people I shouldn't and tell the bartender my entire life story. Didn't happen though. Ha ha ha! Oh wait a minute...I almost forgot...I ordered some hot wings to set the tone, and let me tell you, they came in HOT like they were auditioning for a music video. Perfect bar wings: messy, spicy, and exactly what you need to convince your stomach that the tequila was a good idea. Typical bar food across the board, nothing fancy, nothing pretentious, just the classics and messy at its best. But let's be real: the drinks are the main event. The food is just there to keep you from making catastrophic decisions. At one point I swear my Jack & Coke winked at me. The tequila shot told me I deserved happiness. The wings told me to stop being dramatic. And the playlist told me to live my truth. This bar didn't just serve me drinks, it emotionally supported me. For better or worse, get over it! "The energy you give is the energy you receive...always keep that in mind! Just be happy!" Miguel C.

Bar 104 (ten four) is closer to a Japanese style Hostess Bar which caters to single men or group of…read moremen. This is a place where men can come to make small social talk, unwind and be entertained by the bar ladies who will make jokes, tell funny stories, up men's egos to create a welcoming environment. All the male guest must do is to buy the ladies a drink which for our group of 4 ran to $16 or $4/person. Maybe the ladies took pity on us since we didn't look like HUGE BALLERS. Women are welcome, but most will find it boring since this kind of business does not specifically meet the needs of heterosexual women. Ladies who come with their boyfriends or husbands may feel that the bar hostesses are trying to steal their man although that is probably not the case since it is the function of the hostesses to please their male customers. We sat & drank around the bar where the hostesses seem to hover around the most. I noticed that the guests on sofas away from the bar are left more alone to congregate with their own group. So if you want to party in with your own posse, this may be a better space. Seating at the bar is $10 cover while the sofas are $20 per person. There is Karaokè (kah rah oh keh) with Japanese and English language songs. We sang a few to while away our stay when we took a break from talking with the hotesses who circulate from time to time to different guests. Bar 104 may be of more interest to people who enjoy Japanese language, culture, "traditional hostess bar environment", or are at least open to international, cultural influences. If you can't suspend American mores, political correctness, my way or the highway approach, 104 may not be for you since 104 seems to be an enclave that follows the beat of a different drummer. I found 104 to be a fun night out with the boys. The hostesses were cordial, fun, tastefully catering to our needs at the same time exacting a reasonable fee. Shōchū/Japanese low octane "vodka", Sakè (sah keh), Beer, Wine available. Fair trade, fair exchange. 4 Yelp stars.
