It took me a while to find a groomer for my two boys since we just moved here from NW Indiana about a month ago. I found Paw Queen by looking at reviews of places close by. Her reviews looked great to me! So- we gave it a shot today and to say I'm impressed is an understatement. Lilajean was very informative from the moment I stepped in to her establishment. My Sammy has some anxiety issues when around other people and apparently when being groomed, and when I picked the boys up, she explained everything to me as far as how he was and how she managed his care and grooming. She is the kind of person who will just say it and not sugar coat it And I can appreciate that. Based on the information she provided me, She is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in multiple aspects of animal care and training, as well. All I can say is WOW! This place is amazing and definitely worth the drive if you live in Vegas, and especially if you live in Boulder City. My husband and I have groomed our dogs for years, but with both of us working 60 hour weeks currently we just haven't had the time. A friend of mine told me about this place, and upon looking into it and the background of the owner/groomer, LilaJean, she actually has a degree in grooming which is beyond rare, I decided to give it a shot. Since it was our first visit, I went early as she wanted to take the time to get to know my babies (I have a Weimaraner/dutch shepherd mix, and a yellow lab. Both 4 and both rescues. For background, the lab was super beaten, skinny, and scared of everything when we got him two years ago). She took the time to sit with them and love on them and let me know she only grooms one family at a time. She had calming music and scents in the place, she takes them out back to a potty pad any time they need to go, and the place was all pink which was adorable and you couldn't help but smile. You can tell how much she cares for the animals she works with and how much she truly loves what she does. When she called me to come pick them up.... my goodness did they look amazing, and I almost thought they wouldn't want to leave because they kept going back to play with her. Furthermore, she is a small, local, female owned business which is always amazing to support. We will definitely be making this a routine a few times a year as she is worth every penny and then some! read more

Just horrible! If you have a short haired dog, mixed breed, or a wonderful mutt , your dog will be fine. However, if you have a specialty breed and it needs to be groomed to breed standard--- forget it!! This groomer can bathe a dog, but that's it. No knowledge base of grooming in accordance with breed standards! Horrible, I tried on THREE occasions to give her the opportunity to get it right; never happened. I would never recommend her to any pet owner. read more

We recommend The Paw Queen for pet nail trimmings. LilaJean came out to trim nails for 3 senior dogs. It has become difficult to get one of my dogs (65lb 13 1/2 yrs.) in to the vehicle to take him to the vet for this service. We were happy to find a business that specializes in nails only and convenience of on location service. She completed all three dogs in a short period of time, but did not rush. We were so pleased with the end result and noticed an immediate improvement in the way our dogs walked on the tile floor. She was professional and it was clear she has a genuine love for dogs.
