We love The Paw Spa. We've been taking our dogs here for years and they always do a great job, and the price is literally half what you would pay at chain stores. Our dog is a border collie who doesn't always get along with other dogs (or people) but they've always done an excellent job and have never complained about her fussy behavior. We get a simple bath, brush, and clean up of straggly hairs and she always looks great afterwards. I don't review a lot of places, but I was shocked how poorly this place was rated by others. No appt needed. Walk ins between 8-12. Dropped off my two big Bernese mountain dogs and they were ready in 2+ hrs! I was worried they were done so quickly, but they doubled up with staff to get them done. They looked amazing when I picked them up! Even had a Christmas tie and Christmas bandana. read more

Before they took over, my dog sam would come for daycare so he could socialize with other dogs, and he would come home exhausted after a long day of playing. i've taken him twice ever since the new owners began, and i have to say, i am extremely disappointed. Boarded my pups at the Ogden location. Had to leave them an entire extra day because they closed at 3:00 which is unheard of in the boarding community. Most facilities have pickup and delivery times available on Sundays as well. Was a little disappointed because my dogs smelled like pee when I picked up. It was my first time there and I was impressed at how friendly and professional the guy at the front desk was. Their baths are walk-in, and groomings are by appointment. My dog needed a bath so I brought her there. I told the guy at the front desk all he needed to know about my dog, and he nodded and said he'd let the groomer know. He also asked how I wanted to be notified once the bath was done, call or text? I said text would be just fine and that's exactly what he did! And the prices are very reasonable too! Just two things though... they didn't trim completely my dog's nails so when I picked her up, the ones on her rear legs were still quite long. Also, the scent they used smelled kind of funny, like industrial soap? If they could offer other scents, that would make so much of a difference! All in all, I was happy with the service, and will bring my dog there again. read more

We love the Paw Spa for our two Miniature Schnauzers, Belle and Chip. They always look so good and our fur babies enjoy going. This is the only place that they haven't been afraid to go back to. THE Paw Spa? No more like THE BUTCHER SHOP!! The best thing about this place is the receptionist and that is it!!!! She took all the instructions perfectly for what needed to be done with our dog. The groomers obviously can't read because our dog came out completely butchered after being "worked on for 4 hours". Mind you our dog is small and the haircut he came home with would have taken a child no more than 15 minutes with a set of clippers!!! When we spoke to the Owner she came out completely on the defense and never apologized for anything. All she did was told us not to bring our dog back if we weren't happy. Well we bought a punch card because that's what we've always done in the past. We've been clients of this groomer for 3 years. If she is telling us not to come back then the Owner owes us our money back for the remainder of the card, (6 more groomings). We also know we weren't the only customer from the day to be upset about our dogs grooming. The owner needs to learn some customer service and also etiquette when speaking with clients. read more

Every time I bring my dog Juno (labradoodle) to board here, they are so accommodating and nice. Very personal, and seem to genuinely like my dog. I had her groomed (the svc is discounted when boarding) and she looked so great when I picked her up. Not sure why there's bad reviews on here... every experience I've had has been great. I used to go down to Salt Lake to board, but I love how convenient this is, and they aren't strict about exact pick up times, unlike other places. And last time, we didn't get back into town until 10pm, and they were so accommodating about letting me pick her up after hours. read more

Dropped my dog off and asked them to trim my dog and leave his hair long because it was winter. I came back and my dog was shaved. I understand if they felt his hair was matted but they should have called to let me know and see if I still wanted it done. Which I didn't. I would have waited a little longer till it was warmer. This place is a waste of money. We thought it would be nice to take our little yorkie some place a little more high end for an attractive haircut. We sent pictures beforehand to show what we wanted her to look like and they assured us it wouldn't be a problem. We even specifically asked that they not use clippers as we wanted to leave her hair on the longer side. When we picked her up, however, we were completely shocked to find our dog nearly shaved through the legs and body with the hair on her face still overly long despite requesting it trimmed down. Say what you'd like about petsmart, but at least their groomers follow instructions. If you have any preference what your pet looks like, stay away from the paw spa. read more

I signed up for the K-9 monthly unlimited wash for my two dogs. I rarely used the service (maybe one time each month). I took my dogs in today at 2:19 and was informed by the snarkly teenage summertime help that the cut off time for the dog wash was 2:00 and they have a long line of dogs waiting. We were turned away and not in a friendly manner. The owner clearly needs to educate her employees on the value of a recurring annuity and institute a grace period or warning procedure along with some direction on manners and customer service. I cancelled my membership and will advise everyone I know to find a more customer service oriented pet groomer. read more

We have tried different places for our golden doodle and the paw spa by far has been the best. Golden doodle grooming is too expensive to have a bad cut. I love that they take notes every time they do a haircut so they know exactly how we like our dog groomed. read more

Imagine my surprise when they called and he was done in under 2 hours! He looked great! I have referred this spa to others and will go back again! We love the Paw Spa. Our dog gets so excited to be dropped off there and he barely notices our presence when we pick him up. He loves the staff and comes home completely at peace after being boarded by Rivka and her staff. It seems that the staff loves our dog as much as we do. First off they have raised their rates by $5 a night. That's no big deal businesses need to do this sometimes to raise their quality of service. But that is not the case at all with the Paw Spa, we had the worst experience ever with dog boarding, we dropped off our little 5 lb yorkie with over half a bag full of food (normally a bag of food will last almost 2 months) for 5 nights and when I came to pick him up the bag had less than a half cup of food left. We know how much our dog eats and there is no way he ate that much in 5 nights. Also we dropped off a very small harness so they could take him on walks but they managed to lose that harness as well. So I asked if they would discount it at all and they refused. They said they keep all their dog foods separate and had no explanation to how the food disappeared so quickly and would continue to tell me that they didn't work those nights so it would have to be someone else that would know. So I got in touch with the manager over the phone and they told me they didn't work those nights either and had no idea what happened with food. And all they would tell me about his harness was they would keep an eye out for it (and what am I supposed to do in the mean time to take him on walks?). Needless to say we will never be going back to the paw spa for any reason at all! read more

I called The Paw Spa in Mankato on May 2,2018. I spoke with the woman named Megan and scheduled a grooming for our dog. She said that the only open slot is May 9. I said I am going to call her back to check with my husband if we can bring the dog on that day. I called her the next day to reset the schedule on May 12 since we cannot bring the dog on the tentative schedule. She set us on May 12 @ 10:30am. We arrived at The Paw Mankato @ exactly 10:20am, May 12 and we're on the line waiting. When it's our turn, the woman said that they don't have a groomer. I am still talking to her explaining and giving the name of the person who took my call, that woman shut me up and took the next person in line. I pursued talking to her and she asked for my name and phone number and ignored me again. What a very rude customer service. To top it all, I called the number of The Paw Spa which is in my contact list since this is the third time that we're taking the dog for grooming. I asked for Megan and told her about what happened and she said that they are in Bloomington. Is my call been rerouted? I told the woman I lived in St Peter and it's not possible for me to drive down to Bloomington. End of the rant. read more

The Paw Spa is the most unprofessional, dishonest and as others have said....A WASTE OF MONEY! I took three of my small dogs in to be groomed, I had one request for Paw Spa to not cut off my girl's little ponies. I paid $140.00 before seeing what Paw Spa had done. I was horrified. The owner, Rivka said, "I had no choice because these dogs have been NEGLECTED." Not only is Rivka a horrible dog groomer, but should not be around animals if this is what her attitude is. I asked, "Why did you not call me?". Her reply, "I was taking care of your dogs because that's my main concern." Interesting...Rivka, the owner who has over seven years experience called the police because I wanted my tip back. I had five police officers asking me why I did not leave. I said ," I would have, but after Rivka called, I didn't want five police at my home." Oh, did leave out, that when the police came and opened the door - my Yorkie almost ran into a main street. Everyone just stared. I really just wanted my tip back for the principal. Not one officer said any of the dogs were neglected and they understood where I was coming from. My dogs were there two hours which should tell you the quality of their service. In the end I had no tip, no ponies, no pictures will be taken and I have a case number from the Kaysville City police. read more
