I will NEVER take my cat in for a nail trim again. Because . . . When you walk in the front door, you are IMMEDIATLY standing in the grooming room. I thought they were going to take Tiger into another room, off to the side, where it was a little quieter and out of the chaos. They did not. They took the carrier, placed it on a table, grabbed Tiger by the scruff, and without concern for him, or his wellbeing, forcefully held him up, leaned him back, and clipped his front nails. They didn't even fully remove him from his carrier, they just kind of left him hanging half in, half out. He looked terrified. Then, they flipped him head down in the carrier, back legs out, held him down and clipped his back nails. I couldn't believe what I was seeing! Tiger came to Utah last March via Delta Airline in his carrier, in the cabin with me. He was relaxed, quiet and comfortable throughout the flight. He trusted me. Since the disregard for his well being at the Dogroom, he now runs under the bed when I get home. If he so much as hears the closet door open where his carrier is kept, under the bed he goes. That was 2 1/2 months ago! Tiger is a 13 year old, beautiful, blue eyed, part Siamese, teddy bear of a cat, weighing in at 15.5 pounds. My heart is broken. I feel horrible I subjected him to this ABSOLUTELY UNnecessary, UNprofessional encounter. Though he is trusting me a little more, I believe it will be awhile before he fully trusts me again - if ever. There is no excuse or reason for their treatment. If they don't want, or like, to do cats nails, they should just say no when asked! They could have save Tiger and me a lot of grief. read more

Very nice clean place with awesome groomers. I don't like how they allow their cats to roam around freely, especially since while I was there one of the cats attacked my husbands fix terrier for no reason and it was terrifying!! Luckily he's okay only has a minor cut on his side but that's just very unprofessional to me. I will still bring my pup here but just being very cautious of the cats. read more

Had a great experience with my border collie and my family's big chocolate lab. Both dogs only get groomed about once or twice a year, and the Dog Room was a new experience for them. They were anxious, but Meg accommodated them and got both dogs cleaned, brushed, nails clipped and what have you. They look and smell great. Our chocolate lab took some (a LOT) of work to get calm enough to go in the tub, but they made it happen. Thank you for your great service! We will be back. read more

After approaching the owner, she insisted that this did not happen at her establishment. However, despite her feelings she did reimburse me for the vet fees. I will say she did do a lovely job grooming. I'm just not a fan of her attitude and whether intentional, accidental, known, or unknown, I will do whatever I need to to keep my dog as safe as possible. I appreciate them working with me in this difficult situation. read more

We had recommended this groomer based on a prior visit however this time the cut was much shorter than requested, uneven and just plain bad and the nails were even worse and sharper than when he came in. The owner could have cared less that we were unhappy with the work. Please keep your furry best friend away from this awful place. read more

Definitely a dichotomy in service here...We took our 3 yr old golden doodle to the Dog Room - mostly because of the inviting exterior. The dog's haircut turned out great. Customer service was at best - questionable. Our dog had been there for four hours, and they were barely buzzing her coat when my wife walked in. 45 minutes passed before they were done-no apologies - until my wife told them she needed to go. Dog leash was chewed thru and the dog drank like a thirsty sponge when she came home. Communication from our dog host could have been better. Ultimately, I consider my wife and I both easy to please consumers. Rarely do we leave less than good feedback. The way the lady spoke to both me "the dropper off" and my wife "the picker up" was best described as "abrupt". This experience was less than acceptable. Even with good results in the offered product, I'll find another groomer. read more

Very bad experience with this place sad to say... I have taken my puppy there a few times and absolutely loved this place . I called the day after I got my dog groomed and let the owner know what was going on with my dog the owner apologized and asked me to keep her informed of how my dog was doing .. I took pictures of my dog and decided to go and show the owner what she did to my dog. I got there and I showed her the pictures she had the nerve to tell me that my dog didn't walk out her place like that ... I was dumb founded I told her "You did this to my dog, you burned her!!" She looked at me and said "so you're a professional?" Are you serious ??? She was so rude .... I then took my dog to the vet and got proof that my dogs burns all over her body were from being groomed. I took the paperwork to the owner showing her what the professionals determined the burns were indeed from her, she then apologized and gave me back my money and paid for my dogs vet visit ... I understand that puppies are not the easiest to work with, but her reaction and how she treated me when confronted with a problem I would NEVER recommend her to anyone plus the torment I can only imagine my puppy went through during and after the process... I had the worst possible experience at the Dog Groom on June 24, 2016. I took my dog in for his grooming appointment, and instead his ear was butchered. I wasn't told about the accident until I picked him up. His ear looked like hamburger. The owner couldn't have been bothered to speak with me in person, and then she refused to pay the vet bill for an emergency vet visit that was required for the "small knick." My pet was absolutely traumatized, his ear has a notch missing, and they still charged me full price for his visit. I will never go back and would strongly encourage you to avoid this location! This is not the first pet that has been badly hurt here! read more

We've been taking our Cavalier King Charles, Harry to The Dogrooom for eight years now. Harry gets so... excited when he realizes that he's going to the groomer. Horribly over-priced and the results are sub-standard. The first time I took my dog there they charged me $90.00. I had to trim her face and eyes when I got her home because they failed to do so. Since they eye close, I gave them another chance. Claiming she was matted (NOT) they charged me 133.00! The crappy cut from last time is even worse this time. Stay clear of this place unless you don't care about quality and you have money to throw away. read more

I I have taken my poodle here a few times over the years and everything seemed fine. Other than the owner isn't very friendly. A few cuts on the legs or uneven hair here and there. I understand working with animals can be hard. My dog HATES going to the groomers so I can see him being a little more difficult. I picked my dog up yesterday and they told me he had a seizure. First seizure ever. So I took him to the vet, the vet pointed out 5 different razor burn spots 3 of which were bleeding and 2 cuts on his legs. She then told me that the anxiety of being at the groomers, his age(12), and being hurt over and over was so stressful it caused him to have the seizure. I feel like my dog was being tortured, the owner didn't even come and talk to me. She was just yelling it at me from the back corner then she was saying things under her breath that I couldn't hear. We have to congratulate The Dogroom for the highest price and worst grooming job we've ever seen on our little Shitsu-pom. She now has a cone head. Rather than work out the tangles in her long ears, they cut them out and now one ear is much fuller than the other. Her legs look like they're shingled and they didn't work the tangles out of her tail. read more

I have went to this grooming facility a handful of times. The first couple times my dogs didn't come out how I really wanted them cut... but I'm too nice of a person to complain. Every time I would pick them up they would have razor burn or someone has clipped one or both of their ears. I know that there's a couple young girls there and I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and know that this could happen to anybody during "training." This last time my husband brought my dog home from the groomer and I went to pick him up and he yelped! After examining him I realize that the groomers not only gave him razor burn, but cut his private part in two areas that were so deep he needed stitches and an antibiotic. Its and it's been over a month and hasn't completely healed. The razors cut very wide and deep.... He has scars on his private area!! In 10 years of having my dogs groomed elsewhere, not once did they ever get clipped by mistake, or razor burn.They also sliced his elbow open!! Not only is the owner not very friendly, but they do an incredibly lousy and sloppy job on grooming. I feel like they are either blindfolded while trying to cut my dogs hair, or they truly are in a rush to get the job done fast with no love or compassion for my furry children...And they charge incredibly high in price for an awful haircut... I would never ever ever recommend this grooming facility to anyone! read more

For the first time in almost 3 years I picked up my goldendoodle from being groomed and she was completely at ease and happy! She has had so many bad experiences getting groomed and I was very worried about finding somewhere that would not only groom her beautifully, but treat her with love and patience and not cause her any more trauma.
