No cameras in the kennels, no responsibility for visible wounds/blood on my one dog when I picked her up, new and inexperienced staff, and take no responsibility for issues that arise in their facility if they can't "catch it on camera". I have been taking my Danes here sporadically over the years. My first Dane came back with kennel cough not once, but twice. I decided to not take her back. After that I acquired 2 different Danes and decided to give them another try and boarded my dogs there frequently due to work travel. Luckily no kennel cough, however the cost was outrageous to board 2 Giant Breeds for multiple days on end. I have since switched to having someone come to the house, so I have both a dog and house sitter. All that to say, my most recent experience with them was terrible. I decided to take them for a simple partial daycare day. My two Danes and I arrived right as they were to open at 8am. Multiple employees showed, however none of them were the receptionist so the people waiting couldn't be let in until that individual got there. About 15 minutes later she finally shows, but during this time my girls are getting overly excited and fired up due to the long wait and one of mine decided to nip at her sister in the back of the car. The key here is that when I scolded her and wiped off my Dane that she snipped at--there WAS NO BLOOD AND CERTAINLY NO PUNCTURE WOUNDS. I picked them up at approx. 2pm that day and by the time we got settled in at home, the facility was closed so I couldn't call them to let them know that my dog had completely dried and crusted blood all along her right side of her face, including two very large puncture wounds. I was NEVER notified of these very visible wounds (even if it had happened that morning), and since Paw Spa doesn't have cameras in their kennels, there's no way to know what actually happened. After sending pictures to my vet, I ended up having to rush her in as the wounds were severely infected and required antibiotics and a $215 vet bill. The staff I spoke to the days following, tried their best to help and were very kind but the owner had been out of town and fell ill, so I had to wait nearly a week for a call back from her to "remedy the situation". When she called me, she was completely accusatory, defensive, and blamed me and my dog that had snipped in the car that morning but again, no puncture wounds or blood after this incident! She forcefully told me she most certainly would NOT be paying the vet bill and that the only incident was with my dog in the parking lot. When I called out the fact that nobody noticed, she turned the blame on me that I hadn't either; which I did, but it was after hours for them. She then continued on that "her staff is new, they've raised minimum wage and she's a small business, and taxes are out of control", etc. NOT MY PROBLEM OR RELEVANT. She determined she would not be allowing them to board in the same kennel which I agreed to, however I would be charged double; make that make sense when it's no different than two dogs going for one day-hmmm? Her "solution" was to begrudgingly offer me two free daycares (which is actually one day since they apparently have to be charged twice for being in separate kennels). I was so infuriated and flabbergasted at the situation that I said fine. Why in the world would I ever take my dogs back there after this? Clearly my dogs were not getting the attention or affection they deserve while there, or someone would have felt and saw that my dog had extremely visible wounds and blood on her face. Lack of responsibility and blame game from the owner, inexperienced and newer staff, overpriced services, why go back? DO NOT RECOMMEND. There are so many other fantastic, affordable solutions out there where my dogs get the love and attention they deserve. read more

DO NOT COME HERE. I am beyond furious with The Paw Spa Pet Resort. To make this even worse, my dog was only there from Friday night to Sunday afternoon. In less than two days, she came home a complete wreck. She reeked of poop and urine, had visible scratches on her nose, chipped nails, and had fully lost her bark. That does not happen from normal "play." When I raised serious concerns, I was brushed off and told she was "playing hard" and that we were "lucky" they did not charge us for the "sanitation bath" they told me they gave her. Sheila, the owner, even dismissed my concern about my dog losing her bark by saying, "dogs bark, they bark all the time," followed by, "I can take you back there so you can hear." This was said instead of showing any concern for my dog's condition. Every attempt to get real answers was met with a condescending "we have it on camera," yet no explanation, accountability, or effort to resolve the issue was provided. The conversation ended with Sheila abruptly hanging up on me the moment I said we would not be returning. No apology. No concern for my dog. Just hung up. This is appalling customer service and extremely concerning animal care. If a dog can come back in this condition after such a short stay, that should alarm any pet owner. Took my dog up to them for 3 day boarding. I have to take my dog to the vet to get cuts on her neck cared for and iv of fluids. She was dehydrated. And now walks around scared jumps at any noise and hides. You try to pet her and she curls up in a ball trying to protect herself. I think someone was abusing her. I was in a pinch on somewhere to board my dog. The plan was to keep him at the "pet friendly" hotel with my boyfriend and I. Unfortunately, that fell through and I was desperate for somewhere to take him for one night. The Paw Spa Pet Resort was about to not take my pup either as they said they needed vac records 24 hours in advance. I stated that I had all the records on my phone to which they ended up approving. I've never had a dog that requires grooming before, so have no background experience to compare this place. That said, the staff is very friendly and definitely seem to enjoy what they do, including being around excited dogs. Since I didn't know what to ask for, they suggested the "face, feet, and fanny" trim. Took about an hour, and the dog did clean up pretty well, I must say. They don't have a waiting area, but Lamar's Donuts is close by. So all in all a good experience. read more

I have taken my dog for boarding here and the experience was ok, but not great. I was considering them for doggie daycare for my husky today and while checking out their website saw the webcam. So I checked it out. At 10 am today there were over 25 dogs in two play areas, without any humans in with them. I watched for a while and became very concerned. I sent them a Facebook message about this and their reply was that "Those are actually employees dogs. Client dogs are always supervised" I checked the website again at 4 pm today and there were 4 dogs in the pool area and again, no human in with them to supervise. When I asked about this, the reply was "Ma'am with all due respect if you'd like to come tour our facility and see how we operate you are more than welcome to but a snapshot of our petcams does not show how we operate. Have a great weekend." While this was polite, I think that leaving 25 dogs alone even a minute is unacceptable, even if they are employees dogs (which is highly unlikely). I can't help but be concerned for the safety of my fur baby, and will not be using their services now or in the future. read more

I thought this place looked great. Unfortunately, I was desperate and needed to board my Husky somewhere for the night. I thought she might enjoy it because of the pool. After picking her up, I noticed a sore on the side of her mouth and she is licking her paws a lot. Usually, when she is licking her paws, it's because she hurt them or she was exposed to an irritant. Since there wasn't any natural grass, I can only think that the cement and the cleaners they use irritated her paws. Was not happy with the customer service of trying to get my dog in for a grooming appointment. Had booked him previously for boarding. They asked who his vet was , I told them and they stated they would call the vet for the vaccination details. Had to cancel due to other arrangements. A couple months later, booking the grooming appointment went fairly easy for 2 weeks out. They didn't really need much from me. I had to call to reschedule the following week cause of a birthday party I had on the day of his grooming. They still didn't need anything from me when I called. My girlfriend goes to take him in while I was at work and said they are not able to take him because they don't have any record of his vaccinations. One girl said they could call the Vet (this was on a Sunday by the way), another girl said there was something that happened with the system possibly. Was also told that they could call their manager the next day to resolve the issue. I called to talked to them and I was told that I had to reschedule for another 2 weeks out which was the next available. So then talking to the manager the next day wouldn't resolve the current issue, still would have had to reschedule. During those 3 weeks, not one person thought to call and ask for vaccination records cause "they weren't in the system." I was told different things and got no apologies for the mess up. Not very good customer service from the individuals there that I dealt with. Seemed young, unapologetic and almost didn't really care about the situation. I told them I was not going to reschedule and that I would be booking through somewhere else for the future. read more

I wanted to share my experience with this dog service. This was our first time coming to this facility with our 10 month old boxer/husky mix dog. I dropped off at 7:30 am for a day to "wear him out playing with friends". That was my intent anyway. At 4:30 my husband and children went to pick up our dog and the staff couldn't find him. I eventually joined my husband at the facility to figure out how you lose a dog. All while thinking that there was NO WAY he was missing. He had to be there somewhere. A worker had me walk all the kennels and look in every single one... my dog was not there. The staff continued to assure me that the owner was on his way and we would figure this out. The owner, Kevin, showed up and went right away to review video footage. After 20 mins or so, Kevin came back out to talk to us and show us a video of our dog breaking out of the outside fences. There are 2 fences and somehow our dog broke through both. He then stated that this happed at 9:50 am. This all would have been more of a deliverable message at 10:00 am not at 5:00 pm. I called the humane society and they tracked down sightings of a dog like this in a nearby neighborhood and we were SO very lucky that our pup stayed in one neighborhood for 7 hours. This could have ended so much worse and I am thankful it did not. Kevin along with the 2 managers called me this morning to go over where the process broke down. They stated that normally there would be a sheet of paper on the outside of my dogs kennel so there was a cross check when dogs are coming in from the outside. My dog did not have a paper on his kennel and no one knew why. The manager stated that they were going to revamp all of their processes due to this incident. I appreciate that they are doing that because I can't imagine this happening to anyone else. The business also needs to fix their outdoor fence. It is currently duct taped held together from the wind breaking it recently according to the manager. I took pictures. Also fence number 2 is super lose and was not hard at all for my dog to just bend it up and slip underneath. The owner did not really apologize or seem apologetic in the heat of the event (when to me he should have been). We never did get to speak to a manager the night it was happening. Today when they called me they all were apologetic but it felt a little too late. Receptionist staff and other staff workers last night was all SO apologetic and I realize that this is the worst case scenario but you can't just lose my dog for 7 hours and not know or not tell me. You can't just not have processes in place to prevent things like this from happening. You don't wait for them to happen to then revamp your process. Luckily for everyone involved our dog was found... found cold, wet, shaking, scared and exhausted. That may not be the result if this happens to another family. read more

I really wanted to give this place an amazing review. It was clean, helpful staff, lots of activities & other dogs for my puppy to play with. When I went to pick up my 11 week old, 7 lb. puppy from daycare I met him walking down the sidewalk in front of the building, almost to the parking lot. He had walked out the front door following a man & his very large dog. When I walked back in with him, the receptionist acted unaware & unconcerned that my little fluffball was attempting to leave the premises with someone else. She said it was embarrassing. I find it disturbing! I called on Monday & spoke with a manager. He was nice enough, but he never truly apologized. He chalked it up to my puppy being cute & the girls wanted to hold him at the front desk. He said he understood my concerns but never really offered any solutions so that will never happen again to someone else's dog. I wasn't looking for free stuff or someone to make me feel warm & fuzzy, I just wanted a genuine apology & maybe a reassurance that they will change their policies about keeping dogs at the front desk. At first, we loved taking our dog here. He absolutely loves being around other dogs and he goes to daycare once a week. He went for a few months, and I noticed he really wasn't that tired when we picked him up (he's normal exhausted- he plays the whole day!) When I went to pick him up, he was in a kennel 3 visits in a row. I asked why he was in a kennel and they told me it was because they were cleaning. When I asked what that had to do with him being a kennel, they danced around, never really giving me an answer. The final straw was when we boarded him for Labor Day weekend. I was watching the cameras, and he was in the kennels for HOURS during the day because there was no staff to be seen. Why am I paying you to board him if you're just going to stick him in the kennel? I asked them about it when I picked him up, and once again, no one gave me an answer. When I asked to talk to the manager, they said they weren't in. We never went back and found a better place. I have taken my doodle to this Groomer four or five times. The groomer was always pleasant to me and always very nice to my dog NEVER a complaint about him or his behavior. I take him the fifth time when I walk in with him and the front desk girl tells the groomer that Arlo is there she let out a big sigh and said oh no! I was absolutely confused of what she was talking about ! When it's time to pick him up I get a text saying he's ready and that unfortunately they will no longer groom him because he is so difficult and will not let them do anything to him but wash him without causing a big fuss. If he is uncooperative I certainly understand the struggle! However, to not communicate this the previous four or five times and to send it to me in a text as opposed to talking to me in person I felt, was very unprofessional! and although she was there and not busy, when I came to pick up my dog, she did not approach me to further explain the situation. Its hard to review this place. We had a great experience with the day care portion. however this past week I put my guy there as we went on vacay. I'm like ok I might as well get him groomed. They are lucky my dad had to pick the pups up. My Collies hair is ridiculous, they shaved his belly. He has NEVER had a shaved belly. His leg hairs that usually flow (like a collie) are all cut off, his butt is shaved. I also found a matt I'm his first that they didn't get. They are lucky they didn't cut his main otherwise I would have really said something. i think it's a shame that I paid over $100 for my dog to get shaved. Now the descending was great, however the cut itself was horrible. My guy will never go back for grooming. Shame on you guys!!!! read more

They HURT my dog. My family went out of town for two days to go to a wedding. While we were coming home we had my sister pick him up before they closed. She immediately called us and told us something seemed off about our dog Teddy. When we got home he was shaking and had a limp in his front leg. We have taken him here before and never had a problem, but seeing him like that has made my family furious and he will never go back again. After 20 to 30 minutes of comforting him we finally got him to stop shaking. My heart is devastated right now and I want to know what they did to him. They took their time and they were extremely gentle, in fact they were so gentle he kept falling asleep. Lol I am so happy with the finished result. This is my first Yelp review...I never do reviews, however, our experience here has compelled me to do so. While the staff was always friendly whenever we dropped our dog off we were immediately frustrated by the excess energy she had when she came home every night from daycare. We know she has a higher energy level as a blue heeler/pointer mutt which is why we are willing to pay for daycare. With a newborn baby at home, we were really hoping she'd come home exhausted as that has been our experience in every other daycare she's ever attended. After 4 visits, and one frustrated new mom later, I decided to email the manager to express my concern. I offered the opportunity to redirect her staff or requested that they please send us a refund for the remaining punches on the package we purchased. The response I got is what really inspired this review...she said she was "surprised" to hear it because her staff told her our dog runs around like crazy. I brought up the fact that our dog was always in a kennel when we picked her up (even though it was during a designated play time) and she countered with the explanation that they essentially need their staff to use the majority of the business day on other tasks such as cleaning and feeding. She asked for my address to send the refund and it was sent expeditiously. Today, our dog went to Come Sit Stay and came home absolutely exhausted...she was totally pooped. It was glorious! The purpose of our purchase was met and this new mom was thrilled. In closing, if your only concern is having your pet "supervised" for the majority of the business day in what I assume is an extra clean environment then Paw Spa might work for you. Did not know what to expect having only used doggy day care in MN. The Audrey location is absolutely too cute for words! Staff so pleasant I had no trouble turning my two Cavalier King Charles over to them for a half day "meet and greet". The final verdict was when they came out from the back laughing (yes, dogs do laugh) and wagging their tails before they even saw me. The fact they were slight damp on the bottom shows they were having fun in some water - another great sign since they avoid the water when at a lake. Since I am retired I won't need their services often, but now I understand why people get sold on doggy day care. See you Monday and thank you for the great experience. This was my first time taking my dog here. We boarded him for a week while we went on vacation. As I was picking him up, they told me they didn't have time to give him an exit bath. He smelled and his eyes were gross when I picked him up. They didn't charge me for the initial exit bath but their response was "our groomer is our feeder too so she didn't have time." As she is telling me this, there is a dog getting groomed in the window for everyone to see. These people had all day to groom my dog after being there for a week. First time trying this place out. Had a pinpoint which is why I went some where different. I have a fluffy poochon (poodle bichon mix) puppy. We wanted her matting trimmed off her feet and her scruffy long face hair trimmed down and just a basic upkeep. We arrived she was basically bald with fluffy ears and tail. We even specifically asked to NOT trim her hair on her face that short, and I guess we assumed he wouldn't shave our entire dog since she's meant to be fluffy. Bad experience. I won't be going back. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! I saw the best in Omaha stickers on the door, took not one but two tours prior to bringing my dog in, spoke with staff, they answered my questions. Finally we decided to bring in Maya, our 1 yr old Shi Tzu for a bath and grooming. Picked her up 1.5 hrs later...totally disgusted with the service, not cut correctly, head not even touched per the groomer, not attempted. They STILL CHARGED ME $58.00 although the job wasn't done right. Maya is an active puppy, which is what the groomer a young girl cited as the reason she could not do her job properly. No perfume just a big fat,,,take your dog and up the rear with THE most expensive I've paid in three states for grooming Maya. I made an appointment for one of my mom's dogs. I spent 15 minutes on the phone giving them all the dog's information (gender, breed, color, weight, vaccinations, etc.). When I showed up for the appointment they told me they had no record of it. They were polite about it and offered to make another appointment, but the whole process was still a huge pain and a waste of time (I made the appointment while sitting with two other people who heard me make it and I immediately put it in my planner, so I am pretty sure this was an error on their part). I declined to make another appointment and I'm not sure I will make another one in the future. I like the service provided but I am not sure I am willing to risk that this was a one time thing and not a pattern of behavior. read more

When I first brought my puppy home, I knew I'd be taking her to daycare for socialization once she was old enough. So like any good dog parent, I looked at reviews and visited the facilities. In the end it was between Paw Spa & Come, Sit, Stay (who I had used with a previous dog) just down the road. I ended up going with Paw Spa because of their larger outdoor space and the Petcams and am so happy I did! First, they make sure to call your vet before taking in any pets to ensure proper vaccinations--this was a huge plus for me since I know some places will just look at the Pet Vaccinations Booklet that your vet gives you, which technically I could just write in. I was comfortable leaving my puppy here knowing she wouldn't come home with worms or kennel cough. So if you are planning to take your dog here, make sure to call at least a few days in advance to give them time to get ahold of your vet! Everyone that works here is super friendly. Most seem to be high school or college aged and they all seem happy to be there, taking care of your pet. By my second visit, they knew my puppy by name the second we walked through the door. All the workers have been nice and always able to answer my questions. As mentioned before, they have a pretty big outdoor space--3 spaces actually that they use for different sized dogs--that they take dogs out to a couple times a day. This was a big plus for me since I was potty training my puppy and imagine I would have had a difficult time if she didn't get outside time. When I have looked in on the Petcams, someone is always out there playing/supervising them...another nice aspect to make sure no dog gets hurt. Each evening when I pick up my pup, she is so excited to see me but also pretty sad to be leaving (she always gives a couple whimpers as we pull out of their parking lot). As soon as we get home, she eats and then crashes. It is so great to see her not only getting the socialization I wanted from daycare, but so much exercise. The only downside to daycare is she always smells & has matts when I pick her up...but I know that would happen at any daycare. I have only gotten my puppy groomed once and they did an OUTSTANDING job. My puppy is a goldendoodle that I do NOT want to be "poodled" so I went in with a printout of things to do and not to do--I know pretty insane, but I didn't want to end up with a shaved doodle. The gal who groomed her did exactly what I was hoping for and she looked great! It was a little expensive (and will only get more so as she grows) but that is the price for perfection. :) I would recommend The Paw Spa to anyone looking for a way to get their dog some socialization, exercise or a quality groom! They do a great job ensuring the dogs are looked after and don't keep them in crates when not in the play areas. read more

I drive back to Omaha with my dog quite often and was looking for a convenient doggie-daycare. This place was great at calling my vet to get all the required documents and once that was settled, the drop-off Times are beyond flexible. I was told I could drop off our lab as early as 6:30am and pick him up as late as 8pm...talk about a full-day of exercise! And did I mention that your first day is free?? As great as all of this is, it felt a little disconnected when I dropped him off. One of the workers came around the desk and immediately took him from me, not asking our name or information about our reservation. Maybe that's just their protocol to make things move a little faster, but it would have been nice to be greeted in a friendly manner since it was our first time and maybe even a quick mention of what to expect or be shown the indoor area where he'd be playing all day. Not a huge deal, but would have made me feel that much more comfortable leaving him. read more

Tyler in grooming does an awesome job! I've taken my dog (10 lb maltipoo) in twice and he always makes her look so cute. She's not fond of strangers, her first grooming visit I stayed a few minutes to make sure Tyler didn't get bit but she did surprisingly well and she's so comfortable with him. I highly recommend Tyler! I have also used the Paw Spa for boarding. It's all inclusive, and I love that! I have a Labrador that loves to play so this is perfect and he burns up all that energy and is worn out for the next 3 days. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL TO THIS PLACE.... I had an appointment set up for over a month and then when I got there they decided to tell me I wasn't up to date with all shots. When I scheduled the appt I was told that they would call and let me know if there were any issues. The guy at the front desk, whose appearance looked like they haven't showered yet that day, was very rude and even told me that someone did call and actually did talk to me. What terrible customer service. Even better, when I told the manager, she didn't even apologize. There are plenty of better places in town to take your animals!! read more

To make it simple, I totally dislike this place, the staff and their service. I heard wonders about it, red some reviews, and all seemed great. I left my Great Dane who is big, but a gentle and sensible giant. When I picked him up; 1: They lost all his toys (which later, paid me back for them). 2. When I got home I noticed a scratch on his right leg, when I called the manager, I was told he scrapped his leg against a concrete wall, but he was treated for it and he was fine. When I asked where was the report explaining what happened and why I was not informed when I picked him up, they didn't have anything on writing and they just apologized for it. 3. The next day I noticed a red bump on his nose was not going away and I found a small wound of his paw, pea size, bright red, so deep you can even see the ligaments. I called them back and requested speak with the supervisor and to have a copy of the reports of all the injuries on Monday when I pick up the check for the missing toys. When I got there, the managers were out for the day ( even though I requested to talk to a supervisor, nobody informed me of their hours to make sure I can talk to them), they didn't have the check ready, and they didn't have any reports, and when I asked for the incidents reports that explains ALL the injuries my dog has, they said that they didn't have anything on writing. One of the front desk staff, talked to the supervisor over the phone and was given instructions to give cash instead and explained how he got the first scratch. Hey guys! I am not one for negativity, but I do believe this needs to be addressed. One of my friends has a puppy who she took to the daycare Paw Spa Pet Resort for the very first time. She had left her puppy with some dog food for the week, and long story short the handler fed her dog ALL of the puppy food in one sitting, even though she gave them specific feeding instructions for him. She came to pick him up and he was super lethargic and wasn't himself. She took him to the vet and ended up having to get his stomach pumped, resulting in a two hundred dollar vet bill. My friend was quite upset with this, as any pup mom or pup dad would be. She decided to call the Paw Spa to inform them, and all she got was a simple "Sorry." There was no checking on him after the vet, no sympathy or compassion. Nothing to reassure her this was an accident and wouldn't happen again. She understands that accidents happen, but when something like this happens there needs to be more than a simple sorry. There needs to be empathy, and something more sincere. For that reason, I will not bring my fur babies to the Paw Spa Pet Resort ever. I just wanted to inform our area so you all are aware and can decide for yourself one way or the other. They lost her business and mine as well. read more

Clean space, nice facilities, polite staff. Require proof of vaccination for boarding. All good. And they may be absolutely great for dogs. But they get 2 stars from me for lack of CAT knowledge. Most such places do specialize in dogs. When I talked to the owner before placing the cats there, as I had some special needs with my cats, he admitted that he'd had to learn about cats since opening the place -- such as not placing cats who didn't know each other together (unlike dogs). He assured me they'd learned since, and perhaps they did ... in some things. But when I arrived with my cats, I found they still need to learn more. For one thing, I had to show 2 different staff members (one when I brought them, and one when I picked them up) how to properly scruff a cat to make them compliant and put them in a traveling kennel. Not a good sign. Another -- more troubling -- instance is that they lost track of one of my three cats. I'd ask that two of them to be kenneled together for less stress for both (although paid for both), but one is medium-small, and he managed to crawl UNDER the kennels. There's nothing to block off that area. Apparently, he was hauled out once, but when I arrived, they couldn't find him, and they didn't even seem to realize he was missing. He'd crawled under the kennels *again*. My son had to get him out. He was stuck. I'm not sure how long, probably half a day, perhaps more. He was terrified and very thirsty by the time we got him home. This suggests a LOT of unfamiliarity with cats ... such how small a space they can squeeze into, how to properly handle them, and a good *head count* methodology. Yes, it was a busy weekend. That's no excuse for losing a cat and not (apparently) realizing it. The area under the kennels should be blocked off -- no crawl space available. And ALL cats out should be accounted for when back in the kennels. I can't recommend the Paw Spa for cat boarding until they make some changes. But as critique is never useful without helpful suggestions, let me give three. 1) Contact the American Association of Feline Practicioners, and hire a *feline* behavior specialist (yes, they do exist and they're not the same as general animal behaviorialists, as most of those have classes only or primarily in canine behavior). Have her/him come out to assess the Paw Spa, and take *seriously* all suggestions for improvement. Barbara Teeter and Kit Walter both have pretty high degrees in the Omaha area. aafp.org 2) Invest in Felliway room diffusers and use them in both areas designated for the cats. Additionally, have Felliway spray bottles, and once a cat has left, clean the kennel thoroughly with NON-AMMONIA cleaner (ammonia smells to cats like cat pee). When a new cat is to be put in the kennel, spray the whole kennel with Felliway from the bottle. That's in ADDITION to the Felliway diffuser present in the room. 3) Buy copies of Pam Johnson-Bennett's two books: THINK LIKE A CAT, and CAT-VS-CAT. Require ALL staff who work with cats to read both books, but especially the former. Just because workers know dogs doesn't mean they know cats. Cats are not dogs. But that doesn't mean they're incomprehensible. It just takes understanding them. I shouldn't have to teach the staff how to handle a cat. So those are my helpful suggestions for the owners. read more

Have had good experiences in the past, not this time. We were traveling to Omaha and decided to board our dogs here. That was a mistake,. When we arrived they didn't have our reservation, we gave them dog food with instructions and medication that was needed. We picked them up Sunday morning shortly after 10 am. Initially they only brought us one dog that wasn't even ours, but had our leash on it. When they found one of our dogs she came out soaking wet and filthy (how she could get to that state from her kennel, I have no idea since they had just opened) It took them another 10 minutes to locate and bring our other dog to us. They couldn't locate the food and personal effects we left with them. Makes me wonder who got the medication and if they bothered to follow the feeding instructions. Won't be a repeat customer anymore. read more

I have taken my 8 year old boxer to the Paw Spa Pet Resort several times this summer -my dog and I are both big fans. The staff is friendly, energetic and helpful. The owner is great about special requests. I love the webcam -and I hear they are installing even more cameras and expanding the outdoor area in the next few weeks. I was surprised by the other two reviews -mostly because I've only seen happy pets and owners when I drop off/pick up my dog and I know the staff is taking good care of the animals (that's the handy thing about the webcam!) Finally, My advice to anyone looking to board their pet -if your pet is fragile or has health issues, perhaps you should board them with your vet or hire a trusted pet sitter. read more

I have personally met and dealt with the owners staff on a professional level and can verify that at the very least the owners and staff are true animal lovers and you can be rest assured that they will care for your animals as if they were your own... read more

Two times in two weeks, the day before or even a half an hour before my dog's grooming appointment, they cancelled for being sick or "family emergency". 2nd appt is when they were available so I made all the arrangements and then 1/2 hour before cancel. Way to treat your loyal customers! read more
