It's right in the historic downtown of Dublin and most of the seating looks over the walking bridge - nice location! We started out with the tater tots as an appetizer. They were very good! Not your average tater tot and the sauce served with them was really good. I ordered the roasted chicken - it was also pretty good! Servings weren't huge - mostly just vegetables. My friend got the braised beef short rib and let me try them. They were okay! Then we finished the meal with some desserts. The berry pie came out cold, would've been a lot better warm but it was still tasty. The buckeye pie was good too. Very rich! The service was not as good as I usually experience / expect from a Cameron Mitchell restaurant. Overall, okay experience. Our first visit to Dublin and The Pearl was recommended. We got there for a late lunch on a Saturday and had the best experience. We were in no rush and spent 3 hours trying different parts of the menu, enjoying the atmosphere and view looking over the pedestrian Bridge. We ordered the smoked salmon Appetizer, shrimp and grits and grilled cheese (subbed tots per servers rec.) We split a half-size harbor salad and it was a perfect balance to our meals. Wanted to provide an updated review about the happy hours. Went there for my sons birthday and it was a huge hit. We had a reservation and the server went above and beyond getting us a table at the patio overlooking the river. Definitely took advantage of the pricing and we ordered 80% of the happy hour offerings (lol. Why not). My husband and I loved this place so much at brunch that we went in for dinner. We were able to make reservations through Open Table on their website. I highly recommend reservations if you want to avoid the high table top seating. They had a table for us ready to go and the service was great and attentive. I got the Southern fried chicken with the creamed corn (I asked for no bacon) and cinnamon bun. This entree's portion size is huge!! It was 4 pieces of very crispy fried chicken. The chicken was kind of drier than expected and could really use a nice sauce to go with it, like a hot honey or ranch. It was not the best by itself. The cinnamon sticky bun is huge, I shared half with my husband. The cinnamon bun was really good and warm. The creamed corn was great too, it had poblano peppers that gave it a nice spicy kick. I basically had a piece of chicken and the sides for dinner and took home the leftover 3 pieces of chicken. My husband got the roasted chicken dish. He enjoyed his dish and said the chicken was moist and the sherry jus and gratin were really good. I have no complaints other than the fact the fried chicken could be more moist and could definitely use a sauce on the side to enhance the taste. Larger restaurant but would still recommend a reservation as people were waiting in line for doors to open. Hip/upscale vibe. Eye catching bar beautifully situated in the restaurant. The restaurant layout is vast but feels intimate, and I can't wait for the warmer weather to enjoy some Starters, drinks, and Oysters on the back patio. Service - CMR has service on lockdown. The service was a nice pace; I didn't feel rushed and felt like I could enjoy it. Our servicer was super friendly, explained the catch of the day, and asked me what types of wine I like; after not finding anything on the menu, and made a suggestion. We placed our drink order, and then once they arrived, we placed our starter; we chose the cooked and raw oysters. I am not an oyster person, but my partner is, and he enjoyed them all except two. I ate them; they were good, and just as I'd expected them to be from a restaurant called The Pearl. Our dinner selection was the Catch of Day, a Seafood boil. Partner ordered that, and he really liked it. He liked his starter of oysters better and said he should have made them his meal. He did have one complaint: he felt that the shrimp in the boil lacked flavor and were overcooked. I ordered the Arctic Char. It's a lot like salmon, cooked perfectly and served over two different types of cauliflower. We did skip dessert, but I ordered another glass of wine, and we just enjoyed the conversation. My husband and I came to The Pearl for his birthday on a Saturday. I made a reservation for 5:00pm with outdoor seating. When we arrived we did have to wait for a short period of time, but while we waited the bartender came over to the waiting area to ask if we wanted a drink, amazing service! We were seated outside shortly after and the outdoor area was covered and perfect. My husband got the Hanger Steak which also had kimchi fried rice with a sunny side up egg. The kimchi fried rice was incredible. I could have had three bowls of it! The Pork Piri Piri was covered in an amazing sauce with chorizo broth and mussels. The flavor was incredible. I love Cameron Mitchell restaurants and got the chance to go to the Dublin location of The Pearl for brunch. There's plenty of parking around the area. The atmosphere was amazing and I've always loved the way The Pearl is decorated. This location is bigger too! We were seated all the way in the back left room and crammed with a party of people which I didn't understand as they had plenty of room in the main dining room. Our waiter came and got our drink orders. I ordered the cold brew and just letting you know now that it is the world's smallest coffee for $4! I wish I was warned before I got it. The waiter didn't even ask if I wanted cream or sugar at first so I had to use my friend's and she found a random sugar packet in her purse because the waiter was nowhere to be found. He took our food order and someone else dropped it off. We got the pork cheek hash and the shrimp boil. I loved the boil because you got a decent amount of food and the baguette to dip the soup in was amazingly toasted and warm. Our waiter pretty much didn't check back in with us after he took our food orders. We didn't see him for a good 30 minutes. When he came back, my friend was already done with her food and he made a comment about how she really "scarfed that down." We were uncomfortable as that's not a comment he should really be making. Hoping to get away from the lights and buzz, I walked over the pedestrian bridge and decided on a night at the Pearl. Great customer service to start, Asher made sure I was promptly seated in a prime location to see the river, a great way to end a hectic day. The deviled eggs were creamy and delicious, and very sweetly presented. I would have preferred a little more spice, but you can't fault the taste. The Duke of Pearl cocktail was refreshing and tasty, though the black pepper didn't seem to add to much of a kick. Still just what was needed, though! The pork Piri Piri was the star: a generous helping of pork shoulder, mussels, potato, chorizo, and picketed onions. I would have liked more mussels and a little less pork, but the serving size was generous and the flavors were hearty and soothing. A Pearl indeed. This is the second location of The Pearl, located in the heart of downtown Dublin (the first location sits in the Short North). I heard many positive things about this Cameron Mitchell restaurant, both from locals like my sister and brother-in-law in addition to a co-worker of a friend who was visiting from LA. After seeing the reviews, pictures, and menu, I was eager to experience it. Even on a Thursday evening with weather forecasts predicting a thunderstorm, Dublin was poppin! There were certainly many folks who were dressed to impress though many were also in casual attire. The restaurant looked near capacity when we arrived for our 7:30pm reservation. The interior decor stands out - there's somewhat of a contemporary nautical theme combined with contemporary furnishings and fancy lighting. Combined with dim-ish lighting, it made for a very warm and lively atmosphere. After being seated promptly by the front of house, which had at least two hostesses, we scanned the QR code to access the menu. One thing you'll notice is the diversity in the menu. The breadth almost makes for multiple narratives versus a single cohesive story. Their website describes The Pearl as a gastropub that features food that people love to enjoy and that chefs love to create, so perhaps that's the rationale... Kurt was our server. Though the restaurant was very busy, he was attentive without being overbearing and articulate in describing the menu items/making recommendations. He also took care to check with the chef and make arrangements for a gluten insensitivity. Speaking of - there are many gluten-free options on the menu other than desserts, which are currently a rotating set of three pies that sometimes include a GF option. Onto the food. We began with the Oyster Room: - A dozen oysters from around the country (3 for $13): fresh and high quality. We enjoyed the variety of flavors, ranging from saltier to more smooth. Unfortunately, each member of our party did encounter minor issues with the shucking in the form of rock fragments. - N'awlins baked oysters (3 for $16): the rich savory flavors of cheese and butter dominated the bite for me but that's not a bad thing. The included piece of bread soaked up the juices nicely. - Peel & Eat shrimp (1/2lb for $19): outstanding. Plump and sweet shrimp were a delight to consume. Appetizers and snacks: - Tater tots ($9): yummy. Square shaped with more of a mashed potato interior versus shredded. - Devils on horseback ($10): bacon wrapped dates. Can't go wrong with this sweet and savory flavor explosion. - Jalapeño corn spoon bread ($12): incredible. Perfectly baked with the moist yet almost grainy mouthfeel with the wonderful cornbread taste we all know and love. The jalapeño flavor was present but not overwhelming nor overly spicy. The pool of local honey surrounded in butter was both beautiful in addition to being the perfect compliment to the bread. - Beet salad ($13): though I didn't have a bite, my sister said it was enjoyable though the buttermilk dressing was a touch heavy. Entrees: - Today's catch (market price): swordfish on the night of our visit in August 2021. Cooked to perfection and topped with chickpeas. Very flavorful and well prepared. - Hanger Steak ($35): yum. Pineapple marinated atop a bed of kimchi fried rice and topped with an egg. Extremely flavorful with bright acidic notes from the kimchi, saltiness from the fried rice, and umami from mushrooms. Sweetness and char from the perfectly cooked medium-rare steak made this dish another winner. Drinks: We also enjoyed several glasses of red wine (they have a wide selection of options from California and a few labels from Europe - prices range $10 - $25/glass). I also had a Gin Thyme cocktail ($11) featuring Botanist Gin, Grand Poppy Amaro, and fresh lime. An extremely bright and refreshing night cap. Loved the light fruity finish. A very memorable meal: wonderful ambiance, food, and beverage. Not on the inexpensive side but worth it in my opinion. You can never go wrong with the Pearl. Whenever I go, I always make sure we get the mimosa bottle service. It's so worth it if everyone is going to be ordering a glass or two of mimosas anyway! My favorite small bite items are the tater tots, devils on horse back and jalapeño spoon bread. The tater tots are these nice sized cubes that are crispy on the outside and oh so soft on the inside. It goes great with the side of tarter sauce that it comes with, but it's also so good alone. The Devils on Horseback is a bacon wrapped date and is the perfect mixture of savory and sweet. I didn't really think I liked dates but WOW. These were phenomenal and I get them every time. The jalapeño spoon bread is a corn bread served in a cast iron with some whipped butter and honey and is also a must have every time. It has just a hint of jalapeño but isn't really spicy - this coming from someone that cannot handle spice well! For brunch, I got the pork cheek hash which was good. I normally like to try different entrees whenever I go. I think it came with a little too much sauce for my preference, but I still ate it all! It comes with these crispy potatoes and sunny side up eggs on top. My friends got the shrimp and grits (not pictured) which they thoroughly enjoyed! I came here as part of restaurant week and they were seriously busy. I'm sure that plays a huge part in my overall review. I really would like to give a 3.5 but lowered it due to overall experience. Ambiance wise, we were set in a strange corner of the restaurant with strange, tacky decorations. The restaurant was very noisy and the air was very stale and humid. It was a hot/humid day to begin with but it seemed they turned off the ac? I thought the service was nice, our waiter was super apologetic for the situation and kept explaining what was happening (restauraunt week, overbooked, understaffed). No negatives for the waiter at all, I feel bad I didn't hear his name when he introduced himself... Even with that it took about an hour to get our food after we had ordered it. Again, may have just been circumstances. Food wise things were good. I enjoyed my clam chowder, didn't have the strongest clam flavor or amount of clams though. I also had sand in a few of them but that's not super uncommon. The pork piri piri was good, very tender pork, very concentrated chorizo broth (almost too salty), and very flavorful but very small mussels. The brown sugar pie was great, I really enjoyed it and glad that our waiter told us it was the signature. However, it also just got to be too sweet towards the last few bites. We had a really enjoyable Mothers Day brunch here. We made reservations online and they were nice enough to text us when our table was ready to avoid waiting in the rain. The front of the restaurant has a beautiful bar and oyster bar area. Most of the dining room has great views of the Bridge Park pedestrian bridge. The atmosphere would have been perfect, except for the really loud EDM style dance music being played. Definitely an odd choice for Sunday morning brunch filled with families. The fish and chips was really tasty. Perfectly battered fish and just the right size portion. It was served with yummy tartar sauce and fresh traditional style coleslaw. We did not have dessert or cocktails. but the mimosas were very popular, judging by the tables around us. The Pearl has excellent outdoor patio seating options -- which is an added bonus especially during these Covid times. We have been to the short north location a few times (pre-pandemic) and have always loved it. Dare I say, the Dublin location is even nicer? The food and service during our most recent visit was excellent. We had come here for lunch on Sunday and shared the pitcher of mimosas (get it -- you won't regret it :)). My hamburger was cooked perfectly medium rare and the side order of fries were delicious. The only negative thing I can say is that by the after dutifully finishing the meal, it was a challenge to walk back to the car -- and a nap was much needed! I have been wanting to check this place out for a while. Finally made it and it was worth the wait. I went with a big group, party of 11 on a Saturday for brunch, and we were seated right away (we did have a reservation.) We were greeted by our server who told us the specials for drinks and food options. We went there for brunch so didn't want to order alcohol, so instead ordered a mocktail. They only had 1 option, which was the blueberry mint. It was suppose to be sweet and tart but my drink was more on the sweet side. Few of my friends ordered it too and some of their drinks were on the sweet side and others were on the tart side. The drink wasn't consistent for everyone but still not bad. For appetizer, we ordered the Jalapeno honey cornbread, Tavern fries and the tater tots. There was nothing special about the Tavern fries, just regular fries. The cornbread was really good. Very moist and tasted great with the honey and butter that they provided on the side. But what was made to perfection was the Tater tots. It was like having well seasoned fried mashed potatoes. Definitely do not forget to try this! For the entrée, I ordered the shrimp and grits. This item has short ribs Kielbasa which I did not want. They were able to substitute kielbasa with extra shrimp, which was great. The shrimp and grits is a tad spicy, has a little kick to it, but it was absolutely delicious! My husband and few others ordered the hanger steak with kimchi fried rice and everyone said it was delicious. I tried the steak and the rice, and both were seasoned and cooked well. Couple of my friends ordered the omelet with fresh vegetable and the they indicated that the omelets and the veg were seasoned well and tasted great. They also had few great options on the kids meal but all the kids on my party ordered the same thing which was the chicken and waffle. The size of the kids menu was pretty big. It could easily feed an adult. The waffle and chicken tasted great. The portion size of each dish is pretty decent. We were so full after the apps and the entrées that we did not have any room for dessert. Definitely a good place to come as a group or on a date. My two friends and I went on a Sunday at 1:30. We were seated on one of the patios, and were the only ones out there (I am guessing the other patio was full). The inside of the place was attractive but practically empty. After we received our iced teas, the server didn't return to take our order for 10 minutes. I ordered shrimp and grits. The server came back to check on us before we had a chance to try the food. I was going to ask for some parmesan and hot sauce because I found the dish to be bland, but she didn't come back for another 15 minutes. I already ate half because I was very hungry. I took the leftovers home, added the hot sauce and parmesan which definitely improved it. Since the shrimp were overcooked to begin with, it was unfortunate to have to re-heat the dish. I definitely wouldn't order it again. I also would never agree to be seated anywhere away from the rest of the patrons, because I believe we were forgotten. read more

I like this location even better than the one in the Short North. Located in the cutesy downtown area of Dublin, Ohio, this cute little spot boasts riverfront views and a whole lot more! I dined there for brunch with several friends. Making a reservation was a breeze. We had a group of 6 and they were able to seat us in a manner that allowed for social distancing. I loved the interior of this restaurant - it was every bit as gorgeous as the original location. Service was fantastic and the food was amazing. I tried the deep fried peanut butter and jelly bites and they were delicious. For my entree, I went with the egg in a jar. I love it! Definitely check out the Pearl as soon as you can! And don't worry about parking: there is a garage nearby and they will validate your parking ticket so it won't cost you a thing! read more

I finally walked across the Dublin Link to try this quirky restaurant. The first negative was the miserable hostess who clearly did not care. We were seared at a 4-top and immediately received water. We placed our drink orders. Even though the restaurant wasn't busy, it took 15 minutes for a wine and a simple cocktail to arrive. We also ordered two apps at the same time as the drinks. The apps mosied out at the 25 minute mark. Again, the restaurant wasn't busy not busy. The jalapeño cornbread in a small cast iron skillet was just okay. We also ordered the deviled eggs. Four halves arrived in a ridiculous tin chicken that promptly fell off the table when a guest reached for the last one. Come on! That could not have been the first time that happened! The prices are absurd. It is one of the most expensive restaurants in the Dublin area and is NOT worth the price. The menu is unfocused and frankly odd. It's as if a first year culinary student put it together with NO idea what the purpose of the restaurant is. Is it pub, is it Midwest fish, is it salads with odd combinations (beer and avocado???), is it Tex-Mex? A table mate ordered the ubiquitous Ohio dessert: peanut butter pie and chocolate (called Buckeye pie). ) $163.50 for 3 before tax and tip. We were all hungry after we left and ordered a pizza. I'm stunned that this is dubbed a Cameron Mitchell restaurant. read more

I've been to the Pearl many times. Most recently I went for mimosas with freshly squeezed orange juice. Service was impeccable as always. We were able to sit on the back patio, which overlooks the Dublin Link bridge, and enjoy the weather. read more

The Pearl is a charming restaurant in downtown Dublin. I went there for brunch and I ordered chicken with waffles. The waffles were made perfectly. Hot honey and peach compote were served with it. We have been wanting to check out the new location at Bridge Park for the past few months since it opened. As a fan of the Short North location, seeing this beaut of a restaurant pop up so close to home pleases me greatly. The ambiance is similar to the other location, but there is more space, more art, and beautiful high ceilings and chandeliers that I wish I took pictures of. There are two stories of outdoor seating with personal glass encased fire pits. It's truly the perfect setting for summer nights out with small socially distant groups of course! The menu is almost exactly the same as the one downtown with a few minor differences. We got the cornbread appetizer and smoked salmon which comes with a deviled egg. All were delicious but for anyone that loves cornbread I would highly recommend that above all. So delicious. I also had the fried chicken which comes with creamed corn and a sticky bun. Also amazing. Plenty of food as well, and the leftover chicken and bun were such a treat this morning. Other notes, my mom loved her Moscow mule and the tator tots were literally out of this world. The service was also incredible as well. All in all it's definitely a must if you're headed to Bridge Park! read more
