English Chicken Curry
Robert S.

Cute shop & friendly owner! ("Renee") We ordered the Beet salad, Moroccan Lentil soup and English Chicken Curry. Photos represent a CarryOut order heated at home. All dishes are high quality ingredients made with Love. Renee clearly loves what she does, and that shines through in her product. Check with her for availability, a quick call or click is a good idea - she has a growing clientele. Pro tip: the soup & curry dishes were rich and could stretch farther at home with some thoughtful adds. E.g., coconut cream & chicken/veggie broth added to the curry. The dishes are not cheap, nor are the high quality ingredients.

We came here after a long hike to eat some fresh food and it does not disappoint. I asked for Cole slaw instead of the macaroni salad (which is delicious) but the Cole slaw is PHENOMENAL. The bread is so good- not the kind that tears up the food of your mouth but still has a crunch.

Lunch To Go (House Sandwich, sugar cookie, and orange cardamom olive oil cake)

5 out 5 Rating (maximum points = 5) Value for money: 5 Cleanliness: 5 Food Quality: 5 Customer Service: 5 Look and Feel (Ambiance): 5 Thank you, Come Again?: 4.5 In the outdoor shopping center in Sandy, there is a little shop called Peppered Vine that serves up delicious baked goods and housemade sandwiches. I love trying out new local shops and this one did not disappoint! House Sandwich with a Frosted Cream Cheese Cookie and pasta salad: $17.99 - this dish was more on the expensive side for a lunch option but you do get full quickly. I love how generous the fillings were for the sandwich. They include ham, turkey, sprouts, tomato, Muenster cheese, and mustard. The ciabatta bread was perfect and not too thick. Would definitely recommend the sandwich. The pasta salad was good but I got too full and couldn't finish it all. Olive Oil Cake: $6.99 - the cake itself was dry but had a good flavor. In my personal opinion, the cake would pair well with a thin layer of sweet/savory brown butter frosting. Recommendation for Renee to explore this frosting option. I liked the side of blackberries and candied orange peel with the whipped cream. Overall, I would return to the Peppered Vine for my next sandwich craving. I'll have to ask if they offer the option to order the sandwich only and not as a lunch set. Since the shop is small, there isn't much space for seating. When I arrived around noon, all the guests had already taken up all the tables. I hope they are able to upgrade soon to a bigger shop! I'm rooting for The Peppered Vine.

A religious experience. Renee puts so much love and passion into her food and you can taste it in every bite. We were looking for somewhere to get a sandwich and stumbled upon the Peppered Vine on yelp and WOW, I'm glad we did!! Their sandwiches are bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced. The bread is the perfect mix of soft and chewy... we ordered the roast beef and the special chipotle chicken... both were FAB!! We also ordered the special Peri Peri chicken and HOLY WOW, 1000/10, perfectly spiced!! The olive oil cake I will have literal dreams about. JUST GO! TRUST ME! I'VE NEVER LED YOU ASTRAY!!!

This was a hidden gem! The owner was super friendly and helpful. I came and got a house sandwich box and the food was amazing. The box came with a full sized sandwich, pasta salad, and a marzipan sugar cookie. The sandwich tasted super fresh and was absolutely delicious. Pasta salad was also very good but the sugar cookie was AMAZING. I normally don't like sugar cookies very much but the marzipan frosting was a very nice touch and I loved every bite. Would definitely come again and look forward to trying the rest of the menu.

The best sandwich I've ever had in my life. I got the turkey chipotle, per the owners suggestion. She is so sweet and friendly. Wish I could give 10 stars.

The food from here was BOMB. 12 out of ten. We had two of the sandwiches which were perfect and the olive oil cake (incredible cake). The marzipan sugar cookies were delicious. I honestly might come back tomorrow for the boeuf bourguignon.

I found The Peppered Vine on Yelp today when looking for a quick dinner for me and the fam (thank you Yelp). What a find! Renee (owner/chef), I want you to know that I have not posted on Yelp for quite a few years (sorry Yelp) but I felt compelled to today. The food and the service (yes it's mainly takeout) were excellent. Me, my wife and my two teen kids (who I believe have fairly sophisticated palates, for teenagers) were all duly impressed by the quality of the food and the flavors of each item. We shared, between the four of us: Bouef Bourguignon, Puerto Rican grilled chicken, roasted beet salad, sweet potato corn chowder and orange cardamom olive oil cake (because dessert on a Thursday is a must). The soup was so smooth and balanced by the firm corn kernels and chopped bacon from a texture standpoint. It was a sweet and savory masterpiece. The roasted beet salad had fresh spinach, honey roasted pistachios, fresh goat cheese and freshly cut beets (yes you can tell when fresh versus from a can; no mush). Well balanced in terms of ingredients. And the balsamic vinaigrette was fabulous. The Bouef Bourguignon was extremely flavorful. Beef was tender and the red wine reduction was spot on with just a hint of sweetness to it. Vegetables were cooked firm and complemented the main dish very well. Puerto Rican grilled chicken was also very good. I loved that she serves it with coconut rice (real pleasant surprise for the taste buds). The slaw added just a slight bit of crunch and creaminess (yes mix it with the rice) and the hot pepper sauce was legit hot (courtesy of fresh habaneros). I appreciated the fact she warned me of its spice level. I can tolerate a fair amount of heat but not every family member can so the heads up was appreciated. And the plantains. So good. I'm biased as I love plantains when cooked with a little sugar. Finally, the olive oil cake was like a medium dense butter cake (but without the heavy butter taste) and slightly sweet accompanied by freshly whipped cream and candied orange peel. Wow. I also loved how there was care taken to present the food even in a takeout container! I think that is indicative of the chef's passion for her craft and it's a nice sign that she wants her guests to have an experience when ordering from here. So about the service: I called first to inquire about in store dining and Renee took the time to tell me about the daily specials, make recommendations and introduce me to her concept with The Peppered Vine. When I arrived to pick up the food, she took time to explain how best to plate the dish at home and made me feel so welcome. As the Gen Alphas would say: she has Rizz (I can't believe I just said that). In any event, you owe it to your self to try this place, and not just to support local small restauranteurs, but because you will be very impressed like me at the food quality and flavors. Definitely will be back.

Turkey chipotle sandwich

This place is straight up amazing in every way. I tried the Turkey Chipotle sandwich and for a sandwich lover it was out of this world good. Even the little side of pasta salad was amazing. Her sugar cookies are perfection with the soft icing on top. I also got a slice of the orange cardamom cake since it sounded delicious and it did not disappoint. I will note that the dining room was closed and she was only doing order ahead but I just waited in my car and it was ready within 20 minutes. I would happily wait 20 minutes again for this food. Such a good hidden gem

I don't leave yelp reviews often, but I felt compelled to leave a review today. I've tried food in countries all over the world -- including sandwiches. I got the "house" turkey sandwich from Peppered Vine and it was the best sandwich I've ever had. Ever. In my entire life. The ingredients taste like they were harvested minutes before they were made into my sandwich, and the turkey was fresher than any turkey I've ever had. I cannot recommend this place enough. My wife got the turkey chipotle, and she says it's the best sandwich she's ever had too. I'll definitely be coming back.

Caprese Sandwich (only half of it)
Carter B.

Great food. When we arrived, the whole staff and the owner came out of the kitchen to greet us and explain the menu and their recommendations. I ordered the Caprese sandwich, my coworkers got the Turkey Chipotle and the Roast Beef sandwiches. All of us enjoyed them a ton, portions were great. The owner explained to us that the business model is mostly aimed for people to order and take home their entrees and eat at their own convenience, so it's a bit small of a dining room, only enough to seat about 6. But that's perfectly fine, I would just say keep that in mind if you were planning on dining in with a group. Overall, a great meal and great staff.

Entry.

Gem. Quality. Intentional flavor. Anti-corporate. Designed to go but they'll also heat it up for you on the spot. Great value.

He came right out and walked my order to my car and was so pleasant and personable. He shared with me his family's story about how these bite sized, individual pies came to be, and how him and his family take great pride in these pies and the family recipe. I sampled all their flavors and they were pretty fantastic. The lemon merengue was an instant favorite - the lemon had a punch full of flavor but not overpowering at all. The fruit tart was just a great balance of fruit flavor with the custard. The heavenly chocolate with Andes mints is a fantastic one to try as it's a seasonal one, but perfect for the holiday season. The coconut cream was an instant hit with just the right amount of sweetness. And the crust - wow, it's spot on that compliments every flavor of these bite sized little heavens-in-your-mouth. Overall, these miniature pies are the way to go for wanting a taste of every flavor of pie - without having to have a slice of a regular sized pie. Plus, in my opinion, it's more fun to eat, share with someone, or just to be able to give yourself a treat anytime.

Even if it was just me I think the small is plenty big. They have plenty of seating and a fun photo op wall as well. They offer ice cream as well. The workers were nice and it was cool to see them make them in front of us through the glass. I got the Strawberry Shorty that had strawberry chocolate, white chocolate, fresh strawberries, cookie crumble, and whipped cream. It didn't have very many fresh strawberries at all, but it was delicious! My sister got the Funky Monkey that had Reese's peanut butter, milk chocolate, bananas and almonds. It was delicious also! So rich and creamy, I just wish it had more bananas with it. My dad got the Dulce De Leche that had white chocolate, Dulce De Leche filled, banana, and toasted coconut. Like the other two it was delicious! Just wish it had more bananas. We took ours to go and ate them at home. They traveled just fine and were still fresh by time we got home (20 minutes). We all liked all 3 of them and cannot wait to go back and try some different flavors.

In this case, I think it is for the better, as you can have ice cream delivered straight to your door! A month or so back I placed an online order right around their same-day cut off time of 4pm. I was so impressed when a bagful of ice cream was dropped off at my door within less than an hour! We enjoyed the following: Rocky Road features a mild chocolate base and small bits of nuts, but I never found even ONE teeny marshmallow in the whole quart (I just looked up the description to make sure I wasn't mistaken and it definitely mentions those squishy white delights!). Fresh Peach Gelato boasts local peaches from Kuwahara. Tangy, but just-sweet enough. Not quite as creamy as others, but that is par for the course with most fruit based ice creams. Oreo has mostly fine Oreo pieces, but a lot. If you had asked me, I'd have guessed my preference would be larger chunks, but I'd be wrong. This is delightful! New York Wildberry Cheesecake gelato has a great, natural cheesecake flavor. The swirls of berry are rather sweet, but tempered by the tangy base. Chocolate Dipped Strawberry was a surprising household favorite with it's uber creamy pretty-pink base and stracciatella style dark chocolate. They offer a variety of flavors, with some seasonal. All gelatos were a bit harder than ice creams, which is no surprise given they have less cream/fat in them. I am sure if left at room temperature for five or ten minutes (as you are supposed to do for all frozen treats), they would be perfect consistency, but I never have the restraint to wait that long. We bought everything in pint ($5.50) or quart size ($7.50), but you know those long rectangular containers seen at gelateria's? YOU CAN BUY A WHOLE ONE FROM BON BON ($30)! Can you imagine how perfect that would be for a party? There is a $30 minimum, which is extraordinarily easy to meet, and a $5 delivery charge. Go support this wonderful local business crafting such delicious treats!
