I found two charges on my bank statement, from the times they had held my card, even though I had paid in cash. I had not signed the receipt. Last time I was in there, the "night manager", asked me for my card. I told her I couldn't do that, since twice, I had been charged even though I had paid cash. Her response was "I still have to have the card because "I don't know you". She did not bother to check with any of the other bartenders, to ask about serving me previously. She also did not bother to even look the least bit concerned about the charges. She took the beer with both hands, raised her voice somewhat and said "then you can't drink here", making sure to inject some drama. The whole encounter demonstrated a COMPLETE lack of people skills, and an immediate willingness to be confrontational with regard to anything other than, "SHE" did not know me, without any attempt to do anything other than bully, control, and disregard the problem with the card being charged. You have to go out of your way to disrespect somebody to treat them that way, She was right about not drinking there. Putting someone that lacking in people skills coupled with a personality quick to escalate to confrontation in a management position, tells me all I need to know.

There's one caveat- the place is very dirty and so are the patrons. My husband has been propositioned by hookers at the bar and most of the people there are scary. A recent trip to Hooligan's brought a card for the March 9th Artisan Fair to my attention, and I found myself interested and present on 3.9.2019. The parking lot is massive. On this day it was quite full. There was a pretty decent Artisan Fair set up ($10 entry fee) and an outdoor band. As the outdoor band finished, an indoor band would begin, and it was actually very well thought out. I am not sure that they do this alternating indoor/outdoor thing all of the time, but it was very cool. Also, the genres of each indoor and outdoor band were quite different. They have a fair "full bar" selection. However, my reason for the 1 star subtraction is that, I would think in my humble opinion, that a "drafthouse" should: 1) Offer a broader variety of draft beer 2) Offer a larger size of draft beer than 10 oz I understand an 8oz or 10oz pour of a Stout, but I am talking 10oz pour of Michelob Ultra. I imagine that the bartenders know this, as they immediately default to bottles when one orders a beer. I think the most perplexing thing is that they actually have solo cups, but they do not use them for beers or mixed drinks, it seems. The inside is actually really cool. And while they do not offer free pool as the previous reviewer stated, it is only .75 a game, and the equipment is quality. They also offer electronic gaming, darts, shuffleboard, Big Game Hunter, and have the Breathalyzer machine too. A roll of quarters would offer hours of fun. The place was vibrant. I even offered to immediately pay anything legitimate if records existed. Making serious accusations against customers without documentation, then refusing to provide proof while publicly banning and embarrassing them, is incredibly unprofessional and poorly handled management behavior. Businesses absolutely have the right to refuse service. What they should not do is make unsupported accusations against customers without evidence to back them up.
