Drove by The Perfect Pizza many times in my lifetime but never stopped in until tonight! Was pleasantly surprised by how good their pizza and wings were and will be defiantly be stopping in again! Our waitress was patient and pleasant and the owner was very friendly as well. Made sure we had everything we needed. Got a large pizza for our group with the works on it as well as a medium cheese and pepperoni. Also tried their lemon pepper wings and medium wings which were cooked crisp and delicious! Late on posting this as it has been about a month since I was here, but better late than never! My family and I were in Jamestown for a weekend and when it was time for dinner my 5-year old daughter wanted pizza. I always turn to Yelp when we're away from home and found The Perfect Pizza less than 2 miles away. My daughter loved it at first sight. A Michaelangelo (the world famous TMNT, not the world famous artist) figure as big as her greeted us and she was thrilled. As we sat down the waitress showed us where we could find coloring books and crayons for my daughter. It is a small place. Clean, casual, a bit eclectic in decoration, and feels very homey. Like your local pizza place you know and love. The waitress was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. We got a simple white pizza and a couple subs. My chicken tender sub was great; simple, crispy chicken, nothing fancy, but solid. I don't remember what sub my husband got, but I remember he got a large and liked it, but couldn't finish it. The pizza was a hit with my daughter. It felt a bit greasy, but I think only because it looked like there was a little oil on the pan to keep the pizza from sticking. This place is a little "hidden" in a plaza where it can easily be missed, but it certainly deserves more attention! We wanted to try a pizza place that's different than our usual go-to spots... And we found this place because of the good reviews they have in many places online. Then this place quickly became one of our new go-to spots! They're very friendly inside and the food is great. The pizza is above average for sure. I hesitate to call anything "best," but their wings actually might be some of the BEST in the Jamestown area. In fact, their wings are so good that we went back a few days later just to get a whole bunch more wings! My brother - the venerable Prince of our family - contends that those who do not like pizza are "downright un-American." I do not know if this is true or not - but, given that he said it to me when in response to his statement of "let's have pizza for dinner," I said "I don't like pizza." I suspect that his opinion is weighted by the desire to either get his way with regard to our menu for dinner; and/or mock me, his older (yet shorter,) sister. This mocking is a theme in all my family functions. I happen to have a Sarcastic Ass Father (see my Jacobs Field review for evidence) which has in return caused my brothers and I to become very very sarcastic children. I - actually - am the least smart ass of the three of us, my mannerisms, tact and grace tending to mirror that of my Beautiful and Gracious Mother. *smirk* The fact remains that I - do not - like most pizza. I do not think this makes me un-American - given that I vote, exercise my right to free (and, Internet loud) speech and am a product of the capitalist driven machine... it may make me a minority, though. As most people - American and not - tend to like that which is the cheesy-gooey concoction which is 'za. But, if you think this dislike of pizza odd - let me tell you two very good reasons why I don't like pizza: 1. When I was growing up, my Beautiful and Gracious Mother worked all day and went to graduate school at night. This meant that we three children were left alone with our Sarcastic Ass Father - who I still maintain was shocked at the age of 30-something to find himself married with three smallish children - this same Sarcastic Ass Father only knew how to (at the time) make three meals: Scrambled eggs with cheese, burnt hamburgers or Chef Boyrdee pizza out of a box. This meant that we had a variation on those three meals EVERY NIGHT when my Beautiful and Gracious Mother had not had a chance to prepare a meal in advance for him to heat up. That added up to a LOT of shitty pizza. Usually with onions (which I hate) and/or pepperoni (which I have no quarrel with, yet gets boring after the fourth or fiftieth time you have to consume it.) My dislike of pizza was born with those crappy Chef Boyrdee pizzas. How could it not be? (And, yes, for the record I also do not like scrambled eggs or well done meat of any variety... the only way to eat eggs is poached or hardboiled; and, the only way to eat red meat is bloody rare.) 2. I am VIOLENTLY allergic to anchovies. So much so that even a smidge of anchovy oil or paste will send me to the hospital where they have to pump me full of steroids and adrenaline to keep me from expiring from anaflactic shock. Did you know that many pizza sauces contain anchovy paste? Neither did I until this past winter when I consumed pizza - NOT ONCE - but, twice (from different restaurants and the second time after I asked if their red sauce had anchovy paste in it) that caused me to have to visit the ER. Strangely, most places have no clue if this is an ingredient in their red sauce or not. Scary, scary stuff. Anyhow... to say that I *hate* pizza would not exactly be true. Because every once in a while I like White Pizza. You know, olive oil and garlic instead of sauce. C'est tres bon! Not every place has this concoction. And, many of those which do make it in such a way that I do not find it palatable. Perfect Pizza? Does just what it's name says: Makes perfect white pizza. Absolutely in love with this place!! Their pizza AND wings are delicious!! Ordered a large ext. Cheese and pepperoni with 3dozen wings...all perfectly made! Two dozen made extra crispy and one dozem regular...all exactly as i wanted. This is my first time ordering from here and certainly will NOT be my last! These were the worst wings I have ever had in Jamestown. A City where bad wings should not exist. I should have known when I went in and it smelled so bad of OLD grease that I smelled like grease when I left. I was only there about 5 mins. The wings tasted old. I grew up in Jamestown and the surrounding area, as such I have tried many pizza and wing outlets and have seen many come and go through this small area. I was 4 years old when my parents first took me here and when i stopped back again in June it was the same delicious perfect pie I first tasted back in 1990. The crust and sauce are made the same way as back then by the owners he is the only one making the crust and sauce so its always consistent. Toppings and cheese are always fresh as well. It really amazes me that after all these years and going so many times, (as a kid we always went on Fridays!) That the pizza is always the same Crust crisp but fluffy, sauce sweet and plenty of it. Cheese and toppings as far as the eye can see. The Perfect Pizza! Wings are tried and true big juicy Buffalo wings that would give the ones at the Original Anchor Bar a run for there money. Service is always pleasant and fast never an empty drink. Food is always still steaming when it gets to the table. I have been going here for nearly 20 years! Where I first ever tried my fist chicken wing at a young age! The chicken fingers are really good and covered in sauce! Just the way I love.. fast and friendly service! The chicken finger pizza is also very good as well, me being a fan of it... not as many sauces to chose from as I would like, but the ones that are available are really good! Great Pizza but order ahead. There were six people in the back looked like Mom Dad and children. So mom serves great and as fast as Dad can make (create) it. Kids .....well "in the way" would best describe their usefulness. So i own a business and have my kids help as well. I know they can be a bit challenging.....but these kids did nothing but slow everything down. Took an hour and six minutes for a large pepperoni and 10 wings. Note: this review is for the location on 902 E 2nd St, Jamestown, NY...though pretty much everything also applies to the location on Fairmount. Best pizza in town. This is the quintessential Western New York pizza. Loaded with tasty (slightly sweet) sauce and plenty of cheese, with a crust substantial enough to handle all of it. Good quality toppings too. All of this comes at a very reasonable price. The wings are really good too, some of the better wings than you can get in town. Though honestly, most places around here have good wings. If you're a restaurant in WNY and you don't do good wings, shame on you. I did dock a star for their hours of operation. Aside from Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays where they have lunch hours, they're only open from 4 pm to 10 pm. This is especially troublesome during football season.
