I have actually written a review for this company in the past, but they keep doing such a great job, I felt like I had to come and drop another 5-star review for their work. I've been using The Pest Experts Co. for about 2.5 years now and I am 1,000% a satisfied customer. All of the workers who have come out to my home have been very respectful of my property, thorough, professional, kind, and extremely effective. When I moved into my place there were gophers, black/brown widow spiders, and a few other pests that I didn't want around and needed help managing. Juan and his team have consistently been out each month to deliver quality work, and they've helped keep everything under control. They answer my questions, teach me things to look out for (in terms of infestations, nests, etc.), and are flexible with their availability - all at a great monthly price! Their products don't kill the plant life around my home, and they're considerate of the environmental impact of the treatments they apply (staying mindful of runoff, etc.). Other pest control companies have come to my door multiple times trying to pull me away as a customer over the years, but I confidently tell them I'm good. I hired The Pest Experts after using the Projects feature on Yelp for the first time. I wanted to support a smaller company since there are so many out there. The initial setup fee was pricier than the bigger companies, but I did ask them if they could match or beat it. They didn't do either, but they did lower it a bit, which I appreciated. They did express concern that I would cancel my quarterly contract after the setup, which I didn't. Carlos is the technician who comes out to our place, and I am so thankful he is bilingual so he can communicate with my parents. He is always very helpful and explains everything he is doing, and what we can do in case other pests come up (since we initially reached out just for ants). I want to celebrate Carlos who has amazing integrity! After another company, Dan from California Attic and Build tried to intimidate me out of $6,000 telling me that I had a rat infestation. I decided I wanted another quote. Carlos came early next morning and said there was no evidence of rats or mice and he said he went through the whole attic and surveyed the outside of my home. This means that the photos that Dan showed me were from another property and everything he said was a lie. I am so grateful for Carlos' honesty. He ascertained that the sounds I'm hearing are racoons and he was right, I saw a raccoon the very next night. I will work with the Pest Experts from here on out!!! read more

Had an issue at a rental property n the SD area. Always tough dealing with businesses remote, but Pest Experts were responsive and very thorough. From setting the quote to getting the estimate from the tech it was all smooth. As a landlord had lots of concerns as did the tenant. Techs Jaime and Juan(JD) we're both fantastic. Diagnosed the issue, made recommendations, and explained our options thoroughly. They even advised us to go with the least expensive option, as it was what they recommended to fix the issues. Not the cheapest quote we got for the service BUT they could have easily pressed us to do more and they stayed honest and that goes a long way. They are taking care of it over the next 30 days with traps and check ups weekly, followed by sealing the entry points later on and we will take it from there. If anything changed we will update- but so far very pleased! read more

We were hearing rats running around under our crawlspace. Over the course of a couple of weeks, I was able to trap a few of them myself. We eventually got a trail camera and set it up to see what was going on overnight. When we looked at the footage there were many, many rats getting in and out of our crawlspace and we decided that this was beyond our expertise level to solve. I messaged The Pest Experts and requested them to come by to evaluate and provide an estimate. Carlos arrived within a couple of hours and inspected the area. The same visit, he was able to start setting traps. Over the next few weeks Carlos returned and trapped over a dozen rats and has solved the problem. He also worked to do some exclusion work to stop the rats from getting into our crawlspace again. The price was great, and the service was exceptional. I was having an issue with something "biting" my son and causing a rash. I started to panic and think might be bed bugs. I called a few places and everyone wanted to charge an "inspection fee" being a single mom on a TIGHT budget I didn't have the funds available. I crossed my fingers and called The Pest Experts. I spoke with JD who said he could be by in a few hours and provide a FREE INSPECTION. When JD showed up he did a full interior and exterior inspection. Thankfully there where no signs of bed bugs anywhere inside the home. He found an empty birds nest that was heavily infested with bird mites and the mites where getting in through my son's window. JD treated the nest, around the window sill and the baseboards of my son's room. He even allowed me to pay him in two installments which was the most amazing gesture ever. read more

I noticed some holes in my backyard and I thought there were some voles, after trying different recommendations that I found on the internet (ultrasound stakes, natural repellent...) without success I decided to look for pest control alternatives. I contacted them through Yelp and they were very responsive and available to help me, Jaime came to the house and after the inspection he determined there were gophers. He explained to me the options, I did not have any other reference for pricing but what he explained seemed fair, so I hired them to take care of the gopher problem in my yard, they set up the traps and the next day I did not see any more activity from the gophers. They came a week after to check the traps and showed me the culprits. So if you have a similar problem in your yard I recommend them for that. read more

Quick response on Yelp request. They offered to come out a few hours later to look at our gopher problem. They called when they were on the way and arrived as scheduled. They discussed our problem and our options and we agreed to the plan offered. Our tech was quick, friendly and knowledgeable. He set 6 traps and came back out a week later. He called on his way as before and even came a bit early (he checked to make sure that was okay). We caught 2 gophers. He said we would keep an eye out and come out again the following 2 weeks to determine that there was no more activity. Overall, very happy with the service thus far. Looking to possibly have them come monthly for pest management. read more

I hired The Pest Experts for what I consider to be a rodent infestation, after issues with another company that claims to "do it right, do it once." Sadly, not so. I paid $475.00 for 4 visits. The consultant told me they have 23 years experience. He was polite and professional and he asked me about the problem, and I told him that I hear loud,bumping in the attic, tearing of paper, scurrying overhead and in the walls. My dog and cat look up at the ceiling and are sniffing the walls when they hear the noise of their activity. He inspected the attic, roof and around my home for entry points and found nothing, because they had been sealed by the previous "do it right once" company. He told me he found no signs of rodent activity, but would put out bait boxes and traps( which I supplied) and their poison in the attic and in the yard. But not to be mad at him if they don't catch anything . Also, maybe I was just hearing house noises(lol) Well, he was right. After 4 weeks of just coming and checking my bait boxes...nothing. The rats barely nibbled on their bait, and the technician said, "This is a sign that we are reducing the rodent population." While the rodent are still scurrying to and from in my attic. My complaint with this company and others that I have tried is that they are unwilling to go and look deep inside the attic underneath the insulation where the rodent are hiding, and not just do a cursory look and determine you have no activity because they see no feces, urine odor or channeling in the insulation. The rats are traveling along the perimeter borders of the attic. These are areas where most rodent companies are unwilling to explore. Mind you, my dog captured 2 rodents in the yard. I cannot recommend this company and any others that are charging $475.00 or more and produce nothing and are unwilling to do nothing but set out bait boxes and traps which they didn't even supply. I did this and was more successful. The Pest Experts with 23 years experience was polite, respectful and even professional in their demeanor but not worth the money. I do not recommend. read more

Luis came over the next day to set up several traps, and by the time he came back for the first check a week later the gopher had already been captured. I called because we had a major Brown Widow problem.. Juan and Jamie came out the next day. The spiders were running from their hiding spots just after they sprayed. They took care of all the webs and eggs that were attached to my patio furniture as well as the eaves of the house. I feel much better now. I am incredibly pleased with the service that JD and The Pest Experts provided me. We had large and loud rats in our attic. Not a good feeling to be awakened in the middle of the night by creepy, crawly sounds. And to make it even worse, we have a very challenging and limited attic space (flat top). So it took some real creative problem solving. JD was able to locate the rats' sneaky entry point on the roof. And believe me, it was subtle. Numerous other inspectors had missed it. That entry point is now sealed and secure. One more rat has been trapped (4 in total) and all is well. Now I can sleep. Thank you, JD, you were amazing. With the summer months behind us. The weather has become much cooler. Around this time the critters in my neighborhood look to find warmer places to reside or feed. Unfortunately they decided to pick my house this year. I have been in my house for twenty five years; and we have never had any major issues until recently. He inspected certain areas of the property and made recommendations that made sense. I later met his manager. Who was also nice and professional. For an affordable fee, we all agreed on a plan to get rid of my problem. I was impressed because we got results that same night. Jaime returned the next day. These folks are the best at pest control. Given the location of my house, there is a recurring gopher issue. When "The Experts" come by for their regular spraying, they notice the gopher hole, quickly set the trap and the gopher is gone. Since I started with the Pest Experts, there have been NO inside-the-house bugs. None. They get the job done! My thanks to Carlos for his excellent, professional, courteous and efficient service. The Pest Experts are worth every penny! We moved into our home a little over 2 years ago and had a huge gopher problem in our backyard. Once the summer came, then also came the crickets and roaches making their way into our home. We pay to have our home sprayed regularly for insects and have an added on gopher service. The customer service in incredible. Anytime we see new holes in our backyard (which is not frequent anymore) we get someone here in 1-2 days. They are also incredibly kind and call us when they are on their way and remind us to keep our dog inside for at least an hour after the house has been sprayed. We loved our Pest Experts! They'll be apart of our home for as long as we are here. :) read more

I can't say enough good things about this company! I found droppings one day, called them that day, and they were able to schedule an appointment the next day! The lady on the phone was super helpful, nice and understanding. I was freaking out about the issue but she said they could handle it and had a very calming effect. When the technician came, he was very thorough and identified the problem areas and set traps in those areas. Two days later, RAT TRAPPED! A technician came the day I called and removed the nuisance. They kept the traps and came back weekly for check ups, but thankfully the pesky critter was running solo and not in a rat pack (SO GROSS). It was probably the most disgusting thing I've ever seen in my house, actually, not probably... DEFINITELY. But, this company made it pain free to deal with. It was pricier than I was expecting (having never had this issue before), but the full service was totally worth it. read more
