Seriously A++++ customer service. Spoke with Maynard to get a free consultation regarding the removal of a wasp nest and was recommended by a neighbor who used Yellow Peat Control last year for the same issue. James showed up at 2:30pm and gave us an incredibly affordable solution and quote so we moved forward with the service. He was quick and the service came with a 30 day warranty. Things started out fine with a few Yelp messages but I scheduled my free in home estimate confirmed date and time and the technician never showed up. I followed up twice with the company and it shows they "read" the messages but they never responded. It was a waste of time messaging them back and forth and then waiting at home for the 3 hour arrival window. Even if they did respond to my messages at this point I would be hesitant to use their services. read more

We had a bit of a unwanted guest in our house. When looking for quotes they were the first company that responded. I'm so glad we chose them because they were very professional, reasonably priced and were able to close up entries to crawl spaces that day. They checked the traps numerous times and our guest hadn't been seen since. They also do monthly services which once I cancel mission I will be transferring to this company. They may be awesome at pest control but I'm a bit skeptical about the "free inspection". A guy came out and quickly walked around the exterior of my house and said I don't have a rat problem in my attic. He didn't look in the attic at all. Two days later someone else came out and did a thorough inspection of my attic and they found fresh rat droppings. They took pictures. At any rate, I just wouldn't necessarily trust such a cursory inspection. read more

I clicked on help button on yelp to find a pest control company and I received a message from Meynard. We scheduled a time for someone to come out. James stopped by and listened to our concerns about the pests we had. We had a great conversation. We got a reasonable quote for the service and we scheduled an appointment to get the service done. A few days later he came back and did the service on the property. Since completing the service we haven't seen ants which was our biggest problem. I was leaving town Sunday morning and it was Saturday. I was concerned about my rodent issue getting worse while I was out of town but I was able to get help that day and the problem was solved while I was out of town. I inquired about an ant infestation yesterday and they sent someone out next day to do an inspection. Once they arrived, I was able to receive a quote that was much more affordable than all the other pest control companies that I received a quote for. Everyone else quoted between $185-$299 and were not even able to come out. But Yellow Pest Control was less than that. Once I received the quote and accepted, they started the service right away. I requested for a bee control service and it was so smooth & easy and I was so relieved that the job was done same day I asked for help. First of all the response time by Meynard was quick and when I gave him a call back he explained to me the process and ask me a few things about the service I needed. He accommodated me by sending James that very same day. James assessed the job, gave us the price which we both agreed and did the work right away. He methodically explain to us what he will do and finished the job in no time. Called Yellow Pest Control because we had mice and rats on the patio - and caught one in the house! James came over asap and got us set up with poison outside and traps in the house. He was cautious about our cats and made sure they would be safe. The initial visit was reasonably priced and then the monthly cost for James to be "our pest guy" is great. He came out before his scheduled second visit to give us more traps, more bait, and even got up on the roof to close up some gaps where critters were getting into the building. But just noticed that I have been continued to be auto charged ($87 each time) good thing I looked as I was getting ripped off. It is crappy feeling to have my money taken like that I called in and spoke with Luca and he was helpful in telling me that I'll get credited back for 2 months, and will have CC on hold so not charged. That made me feel good. He said I'd get confirmation email in a few minutes but it's been nearly 2 hours and no email and my CC still showing no credit/refund. They are happy to auto charge me, but cannot accommodate their current customers with the ability to pause service, causing additional headache for me I'll see if there is anything worth updating if/when it happens. otherwise will go straight to credit card company and dispute charges...I don't have time to keep going back to HomeShield to check if they did their work right Still considering if I will continue with HomeShield once I need service again; but I figure I'll have better choice when that time comes UPDATE: after reading other review of not being able to cancel service, I called right back and spoke with Patricia. I asked to cancel service, but she could not do so and had to transfer me to other department and ask me to hold for "2 minutes". After 2 minutes, she came back on saying no one could talk to me to cancel. Seriously?? I asked if I can get her my verbal authorization to relay my cancel message to someone. Unbeknownst to me, the bot totally messed up and scheduled me for another inspection rather than tenting. When I called to confirm appointment later, I was informed of the error. They told me that they were unable to tent the day I needed it done. There was nothing that they could do and they were "sorry". Total screw-up on their behalf. Stop using AI slop. Do not recommend.

Switched routes and chose fumigation for peace of mind and in one day came out and quote once again was under the competition. That in itself was a win but to top it off, a confusion with SDG&E resulted in gas shut off being cancelled. Toby called me at 7pm on a Friday, had worked the issue with SDG&E and his team who originally had the tent over the house by 11am came back and waited 3 hours on a Friday night awaiting SDG&E. Their prompt response and dedication to all my kids and I to come back into our house on Sunday was amazing. I am confident that other companies would have just called it a day and I would have been left scrambling to come up with a new plan and would have had more out of pocket costs. From the first interaction to the last, this company showed honest communication, professional and dedication to the customer. A local business that does things the right way. During the construction phase of our ADU, we experienced a major increase in rodent activity due to debris and materials sitting around for months. Unfortunately, it turned into a full infestation. American Pest Control Services stepped in and completely handled the problem. They truly kicked it in the butt -- and we've had no rodent issues since. Another huge plus for us is that the rodent control methods and products they used were pet-friendly and environmentally conscious. As a pet owner, that was extremely important to me. They sent a manager out in Nov who did a really thorough job and said he would pass on his notes to the next tech who comes out, but it doesn't seem like that happened.

Just a warning, this review is going to be pretty long. But if you're thinking about reinsulating…read moreyour home, that's a pretty big task, so I'll add as much detail as I can to help you! Background: The credit for green energy was ending in 2025, and I had always wanted to reinsulate my home because it was so cold in winter and super hot in summer. I went through many different companies and seeing how people felt about them, and I saw a lot of horror stories. I called up a few companies and found out that insulation is kind of like roofing, where a sales person and a tech comes, where the tech looks around and the sales person tries to scare you into using their company right then. They might say something like "your attic is super hot" (that's normal, well, up to a point), or "we'll give you a special deal if you say yes right now". Just kind of shady stuff overall. One big thing that people mention is that while insulation is good, you need to airseal your attic as well - this was another thing I was looking to get done. Initial Meeting: So I was kind of expecting that when I called Attic Professional. Fortunately, that was not the case at all! From other reviews you might have figured that the owner, Bryan, is incredibly respectful and treats customers well. I got to experience that as well. One thing I was surprised at is he had inside shoes (the kind you see in Japan) and put them on and off when walking around the house. He went up into my attic and really dug around to look for issues like pests or mold (besides the poor insulation layers). We went around the home together to look for clogged vents. He didn't try to sell me on anything - I remember reading one review that said he didn't try to sell them things they didn't need, and that was my experience too. He said they could put more insulation in on my existing one, or take out the old one and put new one in; but neither would have a substantial difference. I went ahead and asked him to remove the old insulation and put new insulation in just for cleanliness. I even later changed my mind and asked for a custom insulation scheme - some fiberglass batting and mostly blown-in, and he had no problem accommodating that. Oh, and they would include airsealing gaps in the attic with fire resistant foam! Reinsulation: A few weeks later, he and his team brought his truck up to my house. They covered many surfaces with plastic drop cloth to prevent insulation from flying around - they taped doorways so I could come through, and they taped cardboard to corners in the house so their insulation blower tube wouldn't cause damage. They put canvas drop cloths on the floors to protect them. There was a bit of fiberglass and debris around after, but it was very, very minor. I understand how difficult it is to be flawless with cleanup, but these guys were very good. The work was smooth and quick - only a few hours. I didn't have to add much input and the team was in and out. Bryan left for another site for an hour or so, but everyone was just as respectful as Bryan, and they told me he was a very good person to work for. Always nice to see that the employees have a good opinion of the company as well. One thing that I thought was interesting is after they removed all the previous insulation, they let me look at the attic and see how they stapled their measuring tapes. Apparently, some insulation companies will scam their customers and fold up their measuring tapes so it shows more insulation than what's actually in there. I was able to verify myself that all the measuring tapes were correct. Bryan and I did a final check on the attic together and I was very happy. Above and beyond: A month or so later, I was very curious about the insulation and really wanted to optimize the house, so I got one of those FLIR guns (temperature sensor guns) to see if the attic was perfectly insulated. As expected there were a few spots that had a bit of uneven insulation (after all, nobody's perfect), but for the most part everything was good. I sent Bryan a text about these spots, and he immediately he and his crew to come add some more insulation and pack it in. Now everything on the camera looks great. I think it's pretty rare to find such attention to quality, and I was very impressed. Results: In the San Diego weather by home would average 63 degrees when outside it was around 48. Now, the house never drops below 68, and it averages around 72 year round. When it's 85 degrees outside, it might be 76-78 inside. I've seen the temperature inside crack 80 maybe twice in the last year, and never seen it below 65. This is with no heater, no AC running EVER. So TLDR: I would completely recommend using Attic Professional for your insulation. Take a look at their price, but I find their quality far outshines anything I've seen, and I think I got a steal of a deal (with the now-removed credit sadly).

Bryan answered my project on Yelp and was the first to come and give me the quote. I knew from our interaction that we wanted to go with him. He was nice and didn't try to up sell us on anything. Told us what he saw and our straight up options. We knew what we wanted. We got a couple other quotes from other guys that were pushy with options and we knew they were giving us additional services even though it was obvious that there was no rodent activity in the attic. Bryan gave us a very competitive and reasonable price. His crew came, did the job, was super chill, and completed the job. House feels amazing now! I was having a serious ant infestation in my home. I set up an appointment with Yellow Pest Control to come out. They were able to schedule me the same day as my initial call and they arrived on time, as promised. After a quick evaluation of my home and its needs, I committed to have them spray for the ants. James was my technician and he was very informative to explain how to keep my pet safe while also allowing the ant deterrent to take its effect. James thoroughly sprayed every baseboard on the interior of every room in my home, as well as the entire perimeter, outside. The ants dissipated almost immediately. The following morning, I saw one rogue ant strolling around my kitchen counter, but now it's been a week and I have not seen any other ants in my home. Over the last two years, I had purchased dozens of over-the-counter products to try and thwart my ant infestation, but thus far, hiring "Yellow Pest Control" has been the ONLY successful choice. I am an extremely clean homeowner and never have had any pest issues whatsoever in 10 years. However, I woke up and saw a cockroach in my kitchen and complained freaked out. I contacted dozens of companies within a few hours, they all wanted to charge an insane amount of money for a onetime service or force me into a subscription. Additionally, most of them were not available to come out for several days. I knew I wasn't going to be able to sleep after seeing that roach. I was so thrilled to find Yellow Pest Control. James called same day, and arrived that afternoon. He gave us a fair estimate, started work immediately, and finished up two days later. Both he and Maynard were polite, friendly, and service-orientated. We had a large, well-established hive--the largest James had ever dealt with. I requested James come because I had a brown and black widow with children playing outside constantly. He came right away and sprayed safely for our kiddos and dog. He told me to wait a few days and then let him know what I found.
