This is a review for dog walking, doggy daycare, and dog boarding…read more I found Peaceable Pets after a very thorough vetting (I am convinced I should have been cast in the movie Best in Show--yes, that is how much of a crazy dog lady I consider myself). Time and again, people on the Ann Arbor Dog Owners Facebook group mentioned Peaceable Pets. I read all the reviews, stalked Peaceable Pet's Facebook page (where Robin posts videos of her guests and informative articles about all things animals), scrutinized the information on her website, did a meet and greet with Marcy, our dog walker, a play date at the Dellwood Doggy Ranch (required for doggy daycare and boarders). I give it 10/10 stars. Peaceable Pets is an Ann Arbor treasure. You will not find someone more knowledgeable about dogs than Robin. Some reasons I love what Robin offers: 1. She understands my dog's unique personality, quirks, and needs. 2. She prioritizes the safety, well-being, and quality of life for my dog. 3. The pick-up and drop-off times worked well with my schedule, which was variable for a while, and then predictable for another while. 4. I trust her 100%. 5. Every time I bring Hagrid to her, he bounds toward her and doesn't even look back to say goodbye. Every dog parent knows that is a good sign. 6. Hagrid is calm and content when he returns from daycare. ...I could go on and on. As for dog walking, Marcy was wonderful and reliable. A few times I bumped into Marcy while I was walking Hagrid and saw his entire body language and vocalization over his joy of seeing Marcy. There is no stronger endorsement than that, in my opinion. To top it all off, Robin and Marcy have really interesting personalities, back stories, and talents when they are not caring for our beloved animals. Marcy speaks French. Robin sings in a band. They are the absolute best.

Oliver comes home both mentally and physically exercised, it makes such a huge impact on his demeanor. Another service that Ryan offers is care visits while we are away overnight or for extended time during the day. At first I was worried about leaving our Oliver home alone overnight, but after trying this service out it has been a useful and convenient option for us. When we come home we can tell that Oliver is not anxious or stressed. Having someone we can count on to take care of our baby boy has definitely added more flexibility to the social lives of two working parents!

We were very worried but all the sitters at RT gave us copious notes on her condition which we were able to share with our vet and make changes as appropriate. RT has made it possible for us to take a two-week trip knowing that our elder cat will be well cared for.

The only anxiety I have, from this service, is that each day could be a different caregiver, so I don't know who is in my house, for that particular visit. Since we have our security cameras, all fears are set aside. We can see and talk to our dogs, see they are being well cared for and see who is there from Snagglefoot. We are even more comfortable with them now. Great service, easy to pay and contact - the scheduling online is still a little hairy though, but nothing a quick email can't fix.

We learned so many important things through her private training and the puppy socialization course. She turned our puppy into our friend who turned into a family member who turned into our first child! Within the first week of receiving our Beabull puppy (3/4 English Bulldog, 1/4 Beagle) two years ago, she began to behave obnoxiously dominant. She would attack my ankles any time we would play, if we tried to hold her down to show our dominance she would NEVER tire of scratching our arms until they were bloodied and bruised, she would do the opposite of everything we asked/showed, and she humped me all the time. There were times that I would cry on the couch because of her behavior, and times my husband confessed that coming home felt like more work than his actual job because of he could never just relax with our dog acting out nonstop. Janet came to our home and made our jaws drop, as her presence changed our dog's behavior immediately. She never lost her patience and taught me how to assert dominance easily. Her guidance rewards good behavior and helped us feel mounds more confident when faced with difficult moments. Our frustration decreased steadily and our pup slowly began to treat us with respect and love. She stopped attacking my heels within a day, and let us hold her down/put our hands in and on her mouth/ears/paws quickly. The humping has stopped over time and she listens very well. I never cried because of my dog after we were helped by Janet. I also recommend so highly the Puppy Socialization class. Aside from our wee one learning sit, down, shake, stay, come and how to walk on a leash better, she made some puppy friends and overcame her shyness around bigger dogs by the end of the course. We were also introduced to the agility/games course which was SO MUCH FUN! We noticed a big change in our dog's confidence and also loyalty to us as we built our bond through training. Additionally, all the staff seems very in tune with each dogs individual needs and never let anyone feel embarrassed or unwelcome because of a misbehavior. Good Dog Training was the catalyst for positive behavior with our dog. I credit the staff and Janet for teaching us how to become amazing parents to our pup and for giving our girl confidence and a conscience.

Then I asked if I could "split it into 2 -1/2 slots) Then she told me that the "actual time spent with my animal is usually 30-40 minutes". My cat was rescued from a hoarders house, she has PTSD. I can't afford them to come twice at 50.00 per day. I've researched that the going rate is $12-$15 per 30 minute visit with your pet.?? I can't afford that kind of price at $25 for only 30-40 minutes! I decided not to go with them because I found family and friends to pet-sit for us this time. I do need a permanent solution, though. The woman who emailed was kind enough. She told me all about how they have all of these good ratings and such. But I felt deceived because she first said $25 per hour. I would've paid that if THAT was time spent with my pet while I'm away. But then it changed to me paying for "travel time"(when she'd said they had 4 people right nearby my home, in my town). Why do I pay travel time for someone who lives in the same town? I didn't really like that so much. Also, I was not happy that when I wanted to split the "hour" into 2 x 1/2 hours, I was then told I was truly only getting 30 minutes with & for my pet. Plus paying for travel to and from my home. I don't pay travel time for any other services ?? (Plumber, maid service, lawn service etc.) I will keep looking for a more permanent solution.... ***I saw the response from this company. I did not say anything untrue or unkind. I only stated my own interactions & why I did not choose them. * I want to reiterate that I did not use this company because of the reasons stated above. Since my partner and I both work away from home, we needed someone to let them out daily. We were very picky in the process of picking someone to have access to our new home and to take care of our boys. Sara also shares the same concerns and is fully insured to do so. She came in for a free visit to meet the boys and go over any concerns we had. The entire process from then until now has been nothing but amazing and very professional. Sara goes out of her way to schedule visits at the times we needed. She even came out on a couple hours notice a few times when our other plans fell through. There really isn't anything she wouldn't do to make sure you and your pets are happy. The service for what you pay for is amazing. Sara and her team take our boys outside for a mile or more walk daily and play with them to get all their energy out. She does this rain or shine and our dogs love it. Every once in a while she brings her best dogs along and my two Goldens get to play with friends in the our own yard. We said DO NOT cut the tails, we said DO NOT shave the faces and they did both of those things, there is patches that were missed, they even shaved the eyes and lashes!!
