Had a great experience bringing our dog here. In and out in less than 3 hours. We have a golden doodle and her hair was long and haven't done a good job with brushing. Very professional and friendly place. They did an amazing job on my antsy 6 month old puppy. It was his first professional groom and he looks amazing. Puppies can be a challenge to groom to begin with. The prices are extremely reasonable and it was each to get right in. The fact someone gave this business a bad review because they only accept cash or Zelle/Venmo is absurd. I cannot believe, or start to tell you how excited I am to have found this new place. I really didn't think anybody could do as good job as my groomer back in Colorado but I had to replace her with somebody and it's going to be at the salon! Yuri (pet stylist) is amazing. I dropped her off for the first time and he took some time to ask me questions and familiarize himself with my little girl. Not only was the place clean, the people that work there were friendly, and the boutique is great. They do offer other things there for your pet as well as take care. Yuri, I am so excited to have found you, you took care of my little bundle of joy. I moved here at the beginning of September and I brought my dog here for the 2nd time yesterday. I'm not happy with her cut. They completely ruined her beard around her face. Cut the bottom all the way off and it's super short and uneven. The pic with the bandana was the first time and she looked good. The owner cut her the first time. He did not the 2nd time. I should have requested he cut her. My last groomer in San Diego was the only person who ever cut her from the first time I took her so figured it would have been the same person. I wasn't going to post but I didn't have the most ideal experience the first time either because when I took her they told me it was $120. Which great, that's what I paid in San Diego. Then when they called me to pick her up he tried to charge me $40 more saying she was a lot of work. Which she's always taken 2 hours and this is exactly how long she took the first time here. my last groomer always did a great job and never said she was too much work or she was matted or anything. I also brush her often because she gets a lot in her fur from the dog park. She also gets a bath and blown out and brushed on average twice a month at Petsmart because she gets dirty at the dog park and I don't want her getting my place all dirty. So to charge me an extra $40 because "she was a lot of work" is BS. It didn't take you longer than usual and she was not matted. He also told me I need to bring her in every 6 weeks. I take her every 8. Again have never been told I need to bring her in sooner or there's anything wrong with her because I brush and bathe her often. But he did text me after that he would honor the $120. I still wasn't happy but he did the right thing by honoring the price he told me and should have given me. And I did think he did a good job so I took her back. Was also told today, "remember every 6 weeks!" If I don't want to groom my dog for 8 weeks, I won't. I don't need to do anything. Because once again I still take her for baths and blowouts and I brush her often. My dog has never gone to the groomer matted. And maybe I like my dogs hair a little long. Lots of dogs coats are long and kept up. The Zelle thing is a bit weird too. If you're going to run a business you should have a credit card machine. I won't be going back. read more

I have taken my mini golden doodle, Lulu here several times now starting when she was a puppy. I appreciated that for her first appointment they explained they would go slow, just to see how she responded to her first grooming appointment. Yuri is always super helpful and has been able to accommodate same day appointments for me. You can tell they take pride in their work and do an amazing job. Since it's a smaller business, they don't take credit cards, but zelle/venmo/etc. Totally worth it! I can't imagine taking Lulu anywhere else now! read more

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with The Pet Salon. For doing good grooming, I would rate a solid 4. However, the following leads to a low rating. I am going to simply list the facts and you can decide whether to use their services. * The prices are reasonable. * They did a very good job grooming my dog. She is very calm and easy to work with. * I was able to schedule an appointment within a few days rather than weeks and months. * They only accept cash payments (Zelle, when it works). Although inconvenient, it makes sense for small businesses to keep their profits rather than paying credit card fees. * The staff seemed friendly and competent. * When I picked up my dog, she seemed okay, and our trip home was uneventful. * After removing her from the car, I found some blood on my arm. I looked more closely at her body and found a puncture wound on her right side that was not there when I left her at The Pet Salon. (assuming non-blunted scissors) * She sits in a puppy seat that is padded and is not exposed to sharp objects. * Accidents happen, but no one at the Salon told me about her injury. This wound would definitely have raised a yelp from my dog. * Despite having done a great job with her grooming, I cannot trust someone who does not tell me about any issues or accidents during a visit. I can understand not wanting to have to tell someone about an accident, but without proper treatment, the wound could have become infected. They should have told me... I considered discussing this matter with the owner, but I decided that it would be a wasted trip... I had already made up my mind that I was not going to use this salon in the future. Since the staff did not mention this matter when I picked up my dog, how could I trust any assurances from them about the future? It is really disappointing... They provide a good service, but ... btw: I cannot imagine how my dog would get a puncture in the middle of her right side, where groomers would only need to use an electric shaver... read more
