The closest pho place in this area. Ran into 2-3x minor issue trying to do phone order 1. They ran out of pho hmm 2 1/2 hours before they close which did not make sense 2. We keep calling and keep getting hang up on Finally went in and tried it to do a sit down, place was new so very clean area is very small i do not recommend to have a stroller on their busy time and if you have no choice the table near the bathroom hallway is your best spot. Its a small shop and tables are near each other they can get very busy like any other place. They have the option to order online which i do not prefer for my opinion. Seems to be complicated and did not want to order the wrong thing. So its either dine in or call to put a order in. Pho real... this place hits the spot! We've tried a few pho spots around Vegas (pun totally intended ), but The Pho Spot is easily one of our new favorites -- and lucky for us, it's right nearby! We came in on a Sunday around 11 a.m. and got seated right away since it wasn't too busy. The menu's got a great mix, including vegetarian and vegan options. I ordered the vegan tofu spring rolls (so fresh and tasty!), and my husband went classic with the regular pho. The broth was the real star -- rich, flavorful, and so comforting. Was so excited about trying pho place on this part of the city since there is no too many of them on Blue Diamond. It was a week day around 5-6, busiest time for them. Tables are super close to each and there is 7-8 tables in total. We walked in and they show us to seat on the only available table. There was a super young boy who seems confused, he seems like afraid of ther other two older waiter. What ever he did he would look at them and ask their approval. You could sense that every time when he would come to our table. We order fresh spring rolls with pork and shrimp, and it was delicious. Combination pho and beef pho was ok and tasty. I asked for scissors to cut my noodles they never brought me so I need to borrow from another guest. They never come to table to ask do we need anything. We couldn't finish our pho because it was so big so I asked for to go containers. Once again I was eating pho and they got me plastic container for solid food. I was in shock how am I supposed to put pho broth in this containers. But they were so busy and never come again. I had to improvise, I took a plastic cup and and put the broth in plastic cup and cover with napkin. I put noodles and vegetables in to go containers and I put my spring rolls in a bag. Having been open for 8 days now, we came in today for dinner and were delighted by the good food! The flavors here are spot on but the portions can be improved upon. The pho broth was flavorful as well as the bun bo hue! The lemongrass chicken with rice and the grilled pork chop with rice were super good. The pork chop was grilled perfectly without a bunch of burnt ends. The crispy egg rolls came out piping hot and the chewy rice paper makes them fun to eat, but it could have come with more lettuce and pickled radish and carrot for the four rolls. The portion for the pho is a little small as well as the bahn mi where the bread to stuffing ratio seemed off. Service was pretty good. We did have to ask about the bun bo hue where our server apologized for having forgotten to tell the kitchen the order since the daily specials are not linked to the electronic order ticketing system. When you enter, you immediately stand within steps of the dining area. There's only about 8 tables & the space feels cramped, especially if you're sitting in the middle. We were greeted and immediately sat by the owner. He was really nice and provided us some recommendations. The server forgot to give us our peanut sauce with the rolls and the bean sprouts for the pho. It took a while to order, get our food, and pay. The rare steak was super tender, meatballs were fatty but not too fatty, and the noodles were a big standout for me, with a little bounciness to them that you wouldn't get from the standard freeze dried rice noodles. Located in the Albertsons shopping center at Blue Diamond & Buffalo, tucked over in the corner is The Pho Spot. You walk in to a nice decor and usually quiet atmosphere, and are greeted immediately by a friendly staff. Some seating by the door where I wait for my order to go, and plenty of table seating for dine-in guests. The BBQ Pork Bahn Mi is my go to, but the Pho with Brisket is also a delicious option, as are the Spring Rolls. Everything tastes fresh and flavorful, the prices are reasonable for the quality, and my order is always prepared and packaged quickly. A great local spot and I cannot recommend it enough. I know this place is new so hopefully it improves. But for now, I would much rather travel a few blocks further and go to Rainbow for way better similar restaurants. Husband and I wanted to come here to try it out. We ordered a pho (chose brisket, tendon, flank) and egg rolls. We also ordered another pho and a grilled pork rice dish to go. The pho is not very flavorful and the portions are lacking. We barely had any tendon in our bowl. They are not generous with their veggies. The fish sauce is extremely watered down. The egg rolls were initially what drew us in because we saw pictures on Yelp showing a unique crispy rice paper skin, but as my husband said, we were "catfished" because our egg rolls were different from what was shown. They also didn't taste as good as other places. The service was below average. The guy didn't seem like he wanted to be there. We had to call his attention multiple times. Something as simple as getting a sharing bowl should've been obvious since we only ordered one pho for dine in. But service is not the reason why we won't return anytime soon. It's ok -- I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since they just recently opened. It's a relatively small space and can get a bit crowded at full capacity. Here's what we tried: - Egg rolls: Although the outer layer was crispy, the interior layers were gummy and chewy. Not a good texture when chewing. The lettuce wasn't crisp and fresh and they only give you two. - Pork and tofu spring rolls: Both were average and nothing to complain about. - Regular pho w/ meatball, flank, brisket: The pho broth was ok, not particularly deep and rich in flavor. I did like the thin rice noodles which had a nice chew. The meat was a bit lacking in portions, given the $15 price tag. - Chicken bun noodle bowl: This dish took an extraordinary long time to arrive, everyone else was just about done with their food. They never provided any updates or apologized for the delay. It wasn't worth the wait either, the chicken was chewy and had some gristle. Service was pretty much non existent. I understand that there is a language barrier and it's a family run small business, but there is a certain level of basic service that needs to be there in a sit-down restaurant. There aren't any Vietnamese pho restaurants in this part of town, so they will benefit from that. However there are quite a few good pho spots if you are willing to drive 10-15 minutes.
